 Icela was sitting under a large tree, in the cool shade. Today was a beautiful day, but it was suppose to be a warm day, and Icela wasn't too happy about that, seeing as she loved the cold.
After a bit, she laid down on her stomach and began to watch butterflies flutter about the field in front of her, going about their day drinking nectar and just being pretty. As Icela watched the butterflies, she wondered if she'd meet anyone new today. After all, she did like meet new people.
Of course, not many people really liked being around her soo much because not only did she like the cold, but she was cold herself and getting a hug from her or shaking hands with her wasn't always the most pleasant experience. But it's to be expected from someone who 's fur is covered in snow, right ?
Icela sighed and rolled over onto her back. At times it was a bit lonely, because of her love of the cold, but she didn't mind. She liked who she was and wasn't about to change herself for anything, even though she truly wished wished for a friend to hangout with.

 Heartbeat was lying under a tree, admiring the day. It was sunny, warm and comforting. Could have been a bit chillier but hey, who can complain on a day like this? Flowers swayed in the breeze, the leaves rustled and the air smelled great. She leaned back against the apple tree and she sighed in happiness.
Too bad she couldn't share this with anyone. Who would she call? She would love to have a girl friend to just talk about life and other girl talk. Who wouldn't? Just spending hours chatting about absolutely anything and nothing. Running your mouth off with just whatever came to your mind. That freedom is something that she longed for. Don't get her started about the stuff she could do with her. Maybe flower picking, weaving the flowers into wreaths...
A smile spread across her face as she daydreamed. Until a sudden gust of wind caused an apple to fall from the tree and hit her head."Ouch!" she yelped.

It wasn't long after a slight gust of wind blew, that Icela heard someone yelp from getting hurt. Quickly, the blue bunny got to her feet and made her way over to where she had heard the sound come from. There, beneath an apple tree, just a few trees down from where she had been laying, Icela saw a pink and minty-green color. Slowly, Icela approached, not wanting to startle the key. Once she was about five feet away she looked at the other and asked. "Are you alright ? I heard someone yelp from getting hurt." She said.
At the moment, Icela had forgotten about her earlier thoughts and was mainly focused on whether the key before her was hurt or not. Even though most thought Icela was cold, or uncaring, Icela was the opposite. She was kind and thoughtful, like most everyone else, the only difference was that she liked the cold instead of nice warm days like this.

A blue and white lock came up to her a short while after the apple fell. She had a stunning coat, with hints of purple. Heartbeat was rubbing her poor head as the lock asked if she were alright. She stared at the insufferable apple accusingly, narrowing her eyes at it. It seemed to mock her with it's shinyness. Heartbeat picked up the apple and examined it.
"How the hell did Newton endure this is beyond me. And yes, -ow- it hurts but it'll be fine.
"Hi, my name's Heartbeat. You can call me Heart or whatever you want for short. You are?"

"That's good that you're ok." Icela said, then decided to go ahead and answer the key's rhetorical question. "Simple. The man had a hard head." After that she chuckled slightly. "Anyways, it's nice to meet you Heart. I'm Icela." She said as she watched Heart examine the culprit of her headache. "It's amazing how something so yummy can make you hurt so much." She said, trying to make small talk with the key.

Heart chuckled at Icela's response about Isaac Newton. "I know, right? Don't judge a book by it's cover, don't mess with apples. But I will have the last laugh!"
Heart then bit into the apple and took a mouthfull of it's sweet flavour. It was just ripe enough, shining it's vibrant red in the sunlight. She had a contented look of triumph on her face as she chewed on her apple. She patted on the ground next to her, inviting Icela to have a seat. "So. What brings you to this orchard? Other than the brilliant chance to walk in Newton's shoes."
She glanced around at the trees around her andsurveyed all the cheery fruits nesting on the branches. "It's a danger zone, that's what this is."

Icela laughed at Heart's little joke, before answering the question that the key asked her. "I came to pick a few apples and to enjoy the day." She said as she looked up at the shiny red fruit dangling above their heads. "Wanna walk on the wild side ? Go walk through and orchard." Icela said, joking.

"Sure, suicide sounds good," Heart laughed.
She hopped to her feet and headed with Icela through the Orchard. "Be careful, I do believe they be vicious today," loping an apple toward Icela.

Icela laughed. "It's about the only time it sounds good." Icela joked before walking through the orchard with Heart. It wasn't long until Heart started joking around again, and tossed and apple at her. Icela narrowly avoided it. "I'll say they are." She said chuckling.

Heartbeat laughed and continued walkign with Icela through the orchard and they stopped at a very peculiar tree. It had a strange smell, slightly pungent, but Heart knew that fruit anywhere. It was a large fruit as big as a football and dark green. It had menacing spikes all over but Heart knew not to judge a book by it's cover. "DURIAN!!!!!!" she shrieked, and ran up to the tree.
"Oh my gosh! I didn't know they grew here!!!" she squealed.
Turning to Icela, she explained, "This is my favourite fruit ever. it's rich and creamy, and not too sweet, a bit bitter... It's like natural dark chocolate with it's own unique taste like none other... But the taste is very overpowing I warn you. Dark chocolate is mild!"
She picked one up from the ground, brought it to the peach tree and began prying it open with a few leaves to protect her paws.

Icela watched, confused at first, as her friend ran over to a tree with a rather odd, and somewhat stinky smelling odor coming from it. "Durin ?" Icela said as she looked over the odd looking fruit. "I've never heard of it before." Of course, as Heart explained what durin was, it not only looked unappetizing, but also sounded unappetizing as well.
Icela shrugged slightly and watched as her friend went to work, prying the spiky fruit open. After a bit, Icela wander over to a near by cherry tree and gather up a big bunch of them, before she return to to the peach tree. She sat down with the cherries in her lap and began eating the little red fruits, while she watch her friend open her durin fruit. Of course Icela was also keeping an eye out for the pits in her cherries.

Icela didn't seem too excited about durians. But then, she had yet to taste it! Durians were just one of those things which you loved or hated. Simple as that. a good fifty-fifty split. Heart was so excited to let her new friend try it! She hoped Icela would like it. It was so smooth and it tasted so wonderful. But to some people, it was absolutely repulsive. Heart managed to crack open the durian in two as Icela watched eating a few cherries she picked.
The durian broke open to reveal two rows of buttermilk yellow flesh in white rind. She picked one piece from the rows and showed Icela how to eat it. "You just pick it up with your paws and start biting it off. There's usually a large durian seed inside each piece. It's very creamy so you can actually lick it too," Heart laughed.
She took one bite of the durian and the flavour just burst in her mouth, the familiar taste of something so sweet and slightly bitter, like a perfect durian should be. "Good durians are sweeter, less bitter. If you're lucky, you'll also get a piece with a small seed inside, shoing that this fruit is more fleshy," Heart explained, handing Icela a piece.
"Try it!"

Heart was lucky that Icela was feeling adventurous that day, and was curious about the odd fruit her friend was soo excited about. Icela listened to Heart explain how to eat the fruit, before she was handed a piece. Icela looked at the fruit in her paws before she raised it up to her mouth a bit off a small piece to try.
The strange fruit tasted a bit odd at first, but that was to be expected seeing as it was the first time Icela had, had durin. After she had swallowed the first piece, Icela raised her paws again to get another bite of the fruit. This time the piece tasted better. She swallowed the piece after chewing it up and the looked at Heart. "Certainly an odd fruit, but pretty good none the less." She said before smiling slightly, and going back to eating the fruit.

Heart was so glad Icela like it! Heart continued eating her piece of durian til it got to the seed and she put the seed aside. She then began breaking the durian into further smaller pieces to find more rows of the delicious flesh. Already treading on thin ice, heaart finally got a small scratch when her paw slipped. "OUCH!" she exclaimed.
"Ah, I should have seen it coming. Durians are always broken apart with a chopper and thick gloves," Heart commented, nursing her cut.
Soon, they finished the durian and they set off further into the Orchard. "I wonder if there are more exotic fruits around," Heart thought aloud.

Icela finished her piece of durin and watched as Heart worked to break the fruit into more pieces. Of course when Heart got hurt Icela was concerned for her friend. "Are you ok ?" She asked. "I wouldn't know because I don't usually mess with spiky fruit."
Once they were done with the fruit, Icela followed her friend off deeper into the Orchard. "Who knows. Maybe we'll come across some Pomegranates." Icela said. Even though they usually stained her paws a pinkish, purplish-red color, she still loved the fruit.
