I've been in a rut since around October. New manager swept into my job and just annihilated everything I ever thought about how good a worker I am.
I get sent home so early because "I'm not needed" so my paycheck sometimes ends up being under 20 bucks. (The lowest was 15 dollars)
I went from being one of the hardest working people in there, to being told I wasn't productive enough to even have my name written on the schedule. (this was after I left a note telling my manager that I needed to talk about my low paycheck and that it wasn't acceptable after being their for 2 years and being completely able to work)
To top that off, when I do work, my job is 100 times harder because I get no help from my other coworkers (people who were newly hired to replace me and dont know what they are doing AT ALL!!)
And on the side, past injuries are begining to completely disable me to the point, where I'll have to quit the job, purely because I can no longer endure the pain.
I'm in a hard spot.. my family suffers a lot and this job helps buy food, pay bills, put gas in the car every night after work (we all work in the same place because we only have one car)
Right now, this job doesnt seem worth it.. summer is comming soon and we're in a tourist town, so the heck we've seen because of all this stupid stuff the managers pulling is gonna drive most of us there completely insane.
So this is what i've been mulling over for months now..
Should I quit and get a new job (preferably something, I wont break my leg off doing)?
Should I go back to school and hope we can get by somehow? (I'm thinking of going straight for massage therapy school, its a little late to try for art school..)
Should I just suck it up and deal with it? (I've considered calling the company about the nasty note about not being productive, but i have no photographic evidence.)
I don't usually rant off like this, but I figured it would be good to get opinions from people who dont know me well at all.. kinda like.. what does a random person on the street think about this situation. sweatdrop

I hear your pain. A friend of mine is almost in the same position except for himself. He is going to the Navy soon so his position wont be long soon. What i would do is go to College. I mean i'm doing it right now. I can't find a job around me either cause local jobs are little and no one is hiring. So im going to college full time so i can get an associate's degree in computer programming. Even my family and i are not doing well with cars. My step-mom is helping me with as much college as i can because she knows how to get in the College im going to.
So i would try going to college.

I'm so very sorry about your troubles. You really are in a rut. Could you possibly search for a new job while keeping this one? Or is that against the contract?
