Welcome to Salvation! The name has no real meaning outside of a motto I live by: "This is hell. Poetry is our salvation." In other words - the world we live in is madness, and we write to escape.
I've loved role playing since I was about eleven years old. That's not as impressive as most of you, who have been role playing for ten or twelve or even fifteen years, maybe more. I've only been at it for about seven myself, but I can tell you that it's been a life-altering thing for me.
I met people I never would meet close to home. I learned how to work with difficult people by creating characters that are difficult. I learned what it means to be dynamic, and not to be paper-thin. I leaned that I have talent that may not give me a steady job, but hey, at least it's fun.
I hope you enjoy your experience here at Salvation, and if there's anything that I can improve on, please let me know in this thread. You should also post questions here, in case you're confused about anything.
