R'ign Age: 25ish Flitters: One brown known as Klah Dragon: Blue Kerth Postitions: Weyrlingmaster of Fort Weyr and Wingsecond of Threadbane Wing Appearence: R'ign is very short and has black hair that has always been trimmed short. She has emerald eyes and fair skin. She is lithe and fit from many Turns as a dragonrider. Personality: R'ign is a interesting person. She is a good instructor and enjoys working with the Weyrlings. She is a fairly good leader and is quite considerate. Though slow to wake up, once she's had several mugs of klah, R'ign is ready to go. ^.^ History: Reign was the only girl in a family of 12 children. She was among the oldest and had several responsibilities. Living with that many males, Reign was not very 'feminine'. She was the only one of her siblings Searched and was taken to High Reaches Weyr at the beginning of a Hatching. Reign ran onto the Sands to stand beside Tolara, who was to be a friend for life. As the Hatching was going on, R'ign saw a fairly small egg, hidden in the shadows, that was struggling. She was distracted by the gold's appearance and watched as the hatchling made a beeline for the girl beside her. After all but one egg had hatched, the Weyrleaders determined the Hatching over, not believing that the last egg would hatch, even though it was rocking. Reign, however, believed otherwise and broke their grasp to run across the hot Sands to meet Kerth as he finally broke his shell. The Weyr was shocked as Reign, who would later become R'ign, Impressed the little blue. R'ign shortened her name by choice later and was often teased by several of the boys in her Weyrling class. Tolara often stepped in, preventing a fight between R'ign and the boys. Later, Tolara and R'ign transferred to Fort Weyr and Tolara became Weyrwoman. R'ign took the assignment of Weyrlingmaster shortly afterwards when the previous one resigned. Both women have kept a close relationship over the Turns.

Kerth Kerth is a silvery blue color and rather large for a blue, despite his size at hatching. The first blue to Impress to a female, Kerth set into motion a now rather common occurance. The sweet blue is a lot like a small, curious child. He is often to the point about things and can be rather blunt. He has a fear of flits after a green flit scratched him up pretty bad. He can tolerate the golds, but absolutely hates the others, especially the greens. Klah, however, seems to be an exception, as Kerth seems to have adopted the little brown as his own child.

Klah Thinking of himself as a dragon, Klah is not often found to be doing most of the things that firelizards usually do. Most of the time, he can be found sunning beside Kerth. Other times, he's flying around, usually following Kerth or R'ign.

Mine... Mine... Mine...
Mumbling, R'ign rolled over, still sleeping. She sighed softly in her slumbers as she relaxed back into her sleep.
Mine! Wake up, Mine!
Mmm....? Slowly, R'ign woke, her eyes fluttering open. She stumbled out of her bed and into Kerth's area. The blue hadn't so much as twitched a muscle since Klah had settled onto his nose.
The little one wakes soon. And Benden has problems. The ground moves... The blue's soft tone was puzzled as he spoke to his rider.
R'ign blinked, brows furrowed, as she retrieved the bowl of meat from the table and brought it back to where Kerth was on his couch. She sat beside his head, watching the little brown as he began to twitch awake. His little nose sensed the meat and he was awake. Ready for him, R'ign offered the little brown some meat, holding him as Kerth carefully got up and stretched, then moved out to the ledge.
Glith's can't go. We should go. We can help move people here. Get people out of the way.
Okay... as soon as... No sooner than had she started to say it, Klah finished his meal and abruptly turned, moving directly into Kerth's large stone couch and curled up in the middle of it before falling asleep.
Amused, R'ign ran back to her room to grab her boots and jacket. We should go by the kitchens first. I need to get more meat for when Klah wakes up next time and the Headwoman should know as Tolara probably hasn't been able to tell her.
The pair headed towards the Lower Caverns.

In the otherwise empty and silent weyr, a small brown flit hatchling stirred within the large dragon couch for a few moments. The tiny flit, dubbed Klah, stretched in his sleep, the bulges of his recent meal still evident upon his belly. With a soft sigh, the flit collapsed, relaxing as he dozed back off to sleep.

Kerth returned to the weyr, his mind set on curling up and sleeping after the transporting from Benden to Fort. However, as the blue got into the weyr, he spotted the tiny brown flit directly in the middle of his stone couch. The little one's stomach was still bulging, so his rider had nothing to worry about for a while. The blue turned and stretched out on the ledge. The warm sun would feel good anyways.

Kerth began to worry as the little brown flit twitched a few times. It was taking his rider so long and he wouldn't be able to handle a hungry flit. And R'ign was busy sorting the new weyrlings. They seemed scared to approach her and he chuckled mentally. His rider could be frightening when she wanted to be and she was probably getting irritated with the weyrlings taking so long to just give her their names and stuff. He just hoped they hurried up.
Mine... the little one will wake soon...

Tired though she was when Kerth finally picked her up after sorting through the Benden weyrlings, R'ign had to then deal with a hungry flit before she could pass out on her bed. Klah luckily didn't wake up until the bluerider had returned and gotten some wine into her after such an ordeal. Shells, she hoped those Benden weyrlings wouldn't be that hard to work with all the time. Or she may have to be strict with them. What kind of training had they had at Benden? If she recalled correctly, which may or may not considering the amount of wine that she'd drank already, a goldrider had be handling their lessons. But why were those older ones still weyrlings? They looked old enough to be full riders now. Perhaps they were close. Oh, well. She'd have to find all this out. But that was a headache for later. Right now, she just wanted to feed that little brown and then pass out for a while. Which she did as Klah began to stir right then.

Klah awoke, startled to find himself alone in the weyr. Where was big brother? He cheeped softly, the small noise echoing in the empty stone confines. The flit clambered over to the ledge, looking about the Weyr for signs of the big blue dragon. Finding him, he chirped happily and headed in that direction.

The large silvery blue lounged upon his ledge, keeping an eye on all that below. He saw his rider deal with the fight and turned his attentions to the rest of the Weyr before his eyes ended upon Tolara's weyr. He knew His was going back there.
Identicaly lounged beside Kerth was a tiny little brown flit, a mere dot compared to the dragon beside him. Klah did not seem to notice this and was also watching the antics of the Weyr from above. The sun felt good upon his hide.

Kerth had been excited the entire morning, knowing that they'd be doing lessons today. R'ign had just blinked at the dragon, wondering what exactly had gotten him so excited.
Lessons! It's time for lessons!
R'ign raised an eyebrow at the blue dragon. Not till I have my breakfast, it's not. What was up with this big boy?
After his rider left to eat in the Lower Caverns, Kerth turned to Klah, who was bouncing up and down excitedly beside the blue. Think Xaith will be watching me?
The brown flit chirped and sent the blue dragon an image of a rock.
Kerth blinked mildly at the brown. Hmmm? You do? I hope so...
It was just lucky that his rider hadn't been paying any attention to what he was rambling about. Or that he was holding conversations with Klah.
The blue then moved out to the ledge to sun while waiting for his rider to eat. Klah tagged along, stretched out alongside his 'big brother'. Both dragon and flit raised their heads as R'ign finally exited the Lower Caverns. Kerth cheerfully made the announcement to the weyrlings and glided down towards the training field. R'ign didn't notice the little brown following along behind Kerth.

Klah wasn't too happy. First Big Brother and Silly Woman decided to go flying and didn't tell him until he say them leaving with Big Green Thing and Other Silly Woman. So he'd tried to fly after them, but Big Brother and Big Green Thing were racing along too fast. Still, he tried to keep up, but suddenly Big Green Thing disappeared and Big Brother soon followed.
Not fun! He was left out by himself. So he'd headed back to the Weyr, only to be mad to see them there! Big Green Thing was eating, of all things! Mad, the little flit had decided to go to his and Big Brother's weyr. He'd just sulk for a while. Perhaps Silly Woman would feed him soon...

((Niki will probably be on less for the summer. She hopes to get a job soon so that she'll have something to do besides lounge around her house, bored out of her mind and waiting for fall to arrive once again so she can get out of her parents' domain and become free once again at college. And see her boyfriend again. Whom she is currently missing terribly and will probably be in a mopey mood for a while as she tries to cope...))
