Since the dawn of the human era, humans have been able to perform extraordinary feets. They have endured floods, earthquakes, volcano erruptions, hurricanes, and so many other things in order to survive. These people were forced to conqueor their fears in order to preserve their own lives, and in return they were granted abilities, or skills in order to perform their feats over and over.

But over time, these abilities and skills seemed to be lost. Humans began creating and adapting to these occurances and dangers that occured in their lives and were able to think out and prevent such incidents from occuring. But there was one thing that they couldn't prevent.

Global Warming, the heating of the earth's atmosphere through the burning of fossil fuels and chemicals released into the earth's atmosphere. We, couldn't prevent this from happening. And the consequences resulted in over four billion people being killed in the process.

The polar icecaps had melted and cracked by the time that New Years had started, alarming many scientists and goverments around the world, but by the time actions of evacuation were being taken- it was too late. The ocean waves had drowned out many of the cities that bordered near the oceans. California, Oregon, Washington, parts of texas, Lousiana, England, New York City, and so many more places were never to be seen again.

But, by some twist of fate, a few people were found in the wreckages of the cities; floating in the new borders of the oceans. Except these people were different... very different.

When they were taken to new military compounds in order to regain their strength and have their injuries tended to- the military personal found to their astonishment, that these people... these survivors had no scratches on them whatsoever. The military than came down on these people, asking them how they managed to survive stressing the individuals even more, when the odd stuff started happening.

Some of the people there were starting to wig out over all the noise they heard in silent rooms, others started to scream and begin to dig their nails into their arms about how small the rooms were, others would stay awake for days on end because they didn't want to have any more nightmares. It got to a point where the miltary personal rounded them up and shipped them to another facility to figure out what was going on- when he appeared. A man named Rolf Ivan Peters.

Peters managed to convince the military personal that these individuals needed to be in some place that could to tend to their needs and hypothesized that these people- were like those that he worked with. They were special.

The meeting then turned into something bigger as it turned out that many other countries around the world had found others quite like the ones that had been found in America, and Peters gave an elaborate speech about those that he called Nameless for he had no name to give them. For no name could be given to them because of the things with wrong with them.

He explained that these people- had powers. Abilities and skills far greater than a mere man could achieve- one that hadn't been forced to knock on death's door and come back again. He then told the board, that these people had powers that were based off of their fears and that they had to conqueor their fears in order to conqueor their powers.

Peters than won custody of each of those now dubbed Nameless, and promised each leader that when the Nameless returned they would have conqueored their fears. But what the Nameless don't know, is that the people who go to Peters' Island... don't ever leave the island again.

70% Jungle - 20% Water - 10% Urban Life

The role play takes place in the year 2013 as we know it, the world covered in water save portions of North and South America, Africa, Asia, and Europe. The roleplay stars off with all of the characters arriving at the island (save the ones who have already graduated the program and the workers).

The island in itself, is filled with people much like their kind. Each citizen of the island (those who were already there) have abilities that were based entirely upone the fears that they once had, the only difference is that they have already overcome their fears. They were given the option to leave or stay and for some reason, they made the decision to stay.

The town on the island is relatively small, about ten percent of the island. But it happens to include a town hall, library, diners, parks, and more. The town has some advanced technology but much of it is still stuck in the 50's era and entirely run by the mansion at the opposite end of the island.

The Nameless (those who have yet to conqueor their fears) stay in a huge mansion which is a considered to be a private school. It has dorms for the girls and boys, and special rooms for any twins or family member their happen to be. It has everything a teenager needs. Cars, phones, video Games, and even a built in Movie Theater (and other fancy equipment for their disposal).

Peters himself stays with the kids and a good majority of the population at the mansion seem to consider him to be their father. Yet, at the mansion, some kids go mentally insane or cannot control their fears as it seems to overwhelm them.

This island is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, its location by the people of the world unknown. So even if you think about escaping, no one will know where you are. Welcome to Phobias people.

Just please keep in mind that some of us are a little bit more imaginative then others and that whatever you may see in a rated R movie- SHOULD NOT BE IN THIS RP! You can mention it, like this (TIME SKIP) if clothes are starting to come off. I don't expect a lot of this to happen, mainly because I'm going to make dang sure that you've got some puzzles to solve. After all, I love puzzles. twisted
✖xxPosts. In general, I want to see some good posts. Give us something to write too. The smallest length I'm going to allow is six sentences, because I have those days believe it or not, and because I'm trying to get you brilliant writers out there to challenge yourself a little bit more. I want you to post often meaning every other day (I know we have lives outside of this virtual world, I do too). If you are going to quit- or thinking about it, IT'S ALRIGHT TO TELL ME! I WON'T CHEW YOUR HEAD OUT! I'll only chew your head out if I'm having a really bad day (joking, I would never do that. I'm a lot more professional than that. ^^ )
✖xxIf you are going to be gone for an extended amount of time, say five days or so, please let us know. If you're grounded, just tell me. I'll keep your stuff up for about two weeks (because me being grounded lasted about that long sometimes). Just let me know as soon as you get on, and I'll try to give you an update of what may have happened during that span of time.
✖xxCharacter Limits. I know this might sound crazy, but I'm not going to put a limit on your characters. Why? Because I tend to make a lot of them. The only stipulation I have is that if you are going to make more than one character, that you better be prepared to post as them- unless you have a plan and you want to bring them into the rp at a later date.
✖xxPicture Preference: I want it to be a "real life picture". But to make things easier on you- as well as myself, I want you to use a picture of a celebrity. Meaning, a picture of an actor/actress or singer. A few models are okay, just be sure that you can input their name into the search bar on photobucket as well as google.
✖xxRESERVES! Yes, I have you send me in a reserve. But the reserve shall be rather painless to fill out (unlike my profiles. whee ). You must send me in a reserve before you start on your profile. When you get a pm back from me saying that you are accepted, you are then free to work on the profile.
✖xxProfiles. Alright, I'm going to be doing something a little bit new, for both me, and perhaps new for some of you. I'm going to use the idea of a Profile Archive. Meaning, that you will create your own profile (however you want to style it-) up in this place here Barton OOC this place is that actual location where profiles are allowed to be. I want you to fill out the profile and then when you are finished, send me the link of the thread. From there, I'll look it over and see if you are good to go. With that, I'll hook up the link to your reserve and you'll be ready to roleplay (most of the time I'll pm you that you are accepted or that you need to change a few things).

I find that if you have a certain color for your character's thoughts and speech, that it becomes less confusing to other people. It'll make more sense as we go along (if you don't get it now. @_@ ) Try not to use the same colors that other people use for their characters.

These rules listed below are ones that are okay to be broken in this Rp. They are the laws and guidlines for your characters

✖xxEverywhere that a teenager goes, one of the medical assistants and scientists must go with them. Or one of Peter's guards. The student must have permission to venture out of the house into the towns before hand.
✖xxThe teenagers are given new cellphones that "adapt" to the islands unpredictable and lowsy service and reception. The internet is also unreliable and doesn't work as often so use it when you absolutely need to for school work. Some areas have great cellphone service. Others do not.
✖xxThe Manor has a school established within it. Private tutors trained to help better the learning of it's students and is trained to help them with their specific needs and the likes. These private tutors will often act as consellors for the student if need be.
✖xxThe Males and Females are seperated into two wings which are the opposite sides of the manor. The students are taught in their bedrooms and are not allowed to come out of their rooms unless given permission [go ahead and break this one] for fear that the students will hurt one another or harm one another. In some cases, some students are afraid of the opposite gender
✖xxStudents are not allowed to date anyone on campus but are welcome to date someone off campus or an Alumni. For fear that if something happened to another student, that their powers would go out of control and they may harm someone [again, I'll let you break this one].
✖xxxViolence of any sort is not allowed in the manner. If you harm another student, patient, or worker you are sent to the padded room and or "box" for behavorial issues. Depending your fear this may adjust.
✖xxDinners with Peters when he arrives are mandatory [I advise you not to skip out] and those who skip out are punished severly

Personality - Personality of your character. I'll give you the option of listing your physical traits (but defination must be given) or actually discussing how the character acts.

Classification - Fearless? Nameles? Creeper/Conductor?
Phobias - You can have up to three. [Nameless/Fearless Only]
Abilities - For your powers, they must be related to one of your phobias. I would like you to come up with at most- ten levels that describe your characters abilities. They can be a mixture both conscious abilities and unconscious abilities, if you'd like. I would like you to describe these powers as best as you can for our writing purposes as well as your own. Biography: This is the Story of your character. Their lives. Take it seriously as you would your own! I want at least two paragraphs. But I would love more.
