TTR!? A writer!? NO WAI~! Yes, I finally got the courage to post some of my craptastic writing pieces for all to see. As a head's up, most of it will be poetry because I've little enough time as it is to write my novels in marble notebooks, and I'll have to be rather bored when I actually type them up onto WordPerfect. Also, I'll be leaving like my own little comments on each piece and stuff...well, I'll just post the rules now... RULES~! (Read or I'll eat your dog.) 1) CONSTRUCTIVE criticism only. I mean, I know my poems are like bird droppings, but I still have feelings. Comments are always loved, PM them to me or IM them to me via AIM of MSNM and I may get around to posting them. 2) Stealing is BAD, m'kay? Why someone would steal my stuff is beyond me, but it's still bad. If you'd like to use a line or something for a picture, just lemme know first. Also, if you see a cheap b*****d using my stuff and claiming it's their own, do inform me ASAP. 3) Please DO NOT post here unless abosulutely neccesary. Self-explanatory. If you've something to say, just tell me via PM or IM, because I'd like to use this thread to just post my stuff. 4) Have fun with it~! ...If you can. ~About the Author~ What? Gotta problem with me trying to be friendly?Name/Username: Shannon/ Twilight Tokyo Rose (aka TTR, Twilight, Rose, Toyko Rose, etc.) Age: 14 1/2 (but not for long...*mourns slipping youth*) Years I've been writing: 5 1/2 Where most of my inspiration comes from: Music, other authors (namely Brian Jacques, Anne Rice, and Luo Guanzhong,) some video games (Devil May Cry, Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy to name a few that really influence me,) some anime (far too many to name,) and also just random bursts of inspiration. UPDATES 1/29/06 Made the thread and kicked it off by posting 10 poems. Yay.

Birth of Chaos By Twilight Tokyo Rose/Shannon F.
Awakened with me, My spirit doth plea. Its cries poison my mind, Trapping me in an eternal bind.
In the sunlight, blood gleams, Not a soul more screams. Gone to do the devil's work, Be back soon.
Bodies littered across the ground, Easily slaughtered by this hell hound. But it only adds fuel to my fire, The need for death quickly becomes dire.
What light I held, By darkness it is quelled. Gone to become whole again, Be back soon.
For all the chaos I bring, My demeanor never starts to swing. Not do I mind having to dwell, In the cruelest, darkest corner of hell.
My sense of feeling, honor, and care, None of it am I aware. Gone to begin my life anew, Be back soon.
Memories start to haunt, For a moment my spirit begins to daunt. Those still eyes pierce as if they demand, The answer as to why the became cold at my hand...
Gone to do the devil's work. Gone to become whole again. Gone to begin my life anew. Gone to find the answers. Gone for good. Author's notes: Finished it in September 2005. I'll admit, this is a lot darker than most of my other works. Also like my other works, this is based off a novel of mine I'm writing but will never finish. Got inspired for it when I just finished a chapter of my novel and was listening to "Satan" by Rammstein. And I've nothing for/against Satan, I just like the song so let's leave it at that. =>..<=

Flames of Desire By Twilight Tokyo Rose/Shannon F.
I engulfed all you knew in fire, Before I could recall your true desire. Such love, I thought, was never real, Only through loss, your pain I could feel.
Now all my future belongs to the shadows. Wandering forever in the confusion and misery, That is this world without your being.
Never again shall your eyes gleam, Never will the tears in my heart begin to seam. Never will I dream not of your face, Never will I halt pursuing your unspoken of desire, A world dancing in fire. Author's notes: Finished it in June 2005. Kind of old, and yet another of my slightly darker pieces. Based off the same story as BoC was, where basically there's this guy and this girl. Girl disappears for a while, guy breaks down over it and looks to find her. That's how it begins after the third chapter or so, and then it goes back and forth for a LONG time. It's hard to explain in such little space. And in case you've not figured it out yet, yes, I happen to be a hopeless romantic. If you don't like it, I don't care.

Living for Lament By Twilight Tokyo Rose/Shannon F.
Oh my, oh my dear love, How futile this life is. For without your purity like a dove, I can know no bliss.
Will I always be left to wallow, In such despair? I pray for my love's return, For this pain, I cannot swallow.
Lonely, ever lonely, You are my one and only. Without your light, ever bright, I fall victim to the darkness of night.
Am I fated to live in such cold, That is life without you? I hope for my love's return, For my life, I can not grasp hold.
Heart aches, how my heart aches, As my spirit breaks. Without your tender care, I awaken, always, to the world's cruel glare.
Forever must I go, Through each day on my own? I beg for my loves return, For how to live my own life, I do not know.
Answer, such prayers answer, My love has come returned! My beautiful, eternal cancer, Has come back to me.
Will I always be damned, To repeat my past mistakes? I work toward my love's demise, To watch our love sink, then pray it shall rise.
Oh my, oh my dear love, How wasted your life is. To expend your purity like a dove, On this soul, so hopeless... Author's notes: Finished in June 2005. Of course, based on the same story as DfP, BoC, and FoD. Kind of like a small epic, I know, but I couldn't squeeze this down to just like 3 verses. Inspired by the song from Animal Crossing, "K.K. Lament." Now you may be asking yourself, "TTR, why does all your inspiration come from music?" It's quite simple. Because shut up. Kidding, only kidding, I dunno why, whenever I hear a song without lyrics (an insturmental,) I think of something like a story that could go to that song, then kinda think up lyrics for it. Weird, I know, but it's how I do my poetry half the time and it sometimes works out.

Living to Dream By Twilight Tokyo Rose/Shannon F. (Note: Each line follows the same beat. Beat: 1st syllable *high note*, 2nd syllable *mid note*, 3rd syllable *mid note*, 4th syllable *low note*)
How my heart beats, I cannot sleep. Such calm blue eyes, Outshine the skies.
Such thoughts do race, Of your pure face. Light cherry hair, Far from just fair.
As you do dance, I'm lost in trance. Your voice ringing, Bests all singing.
Sun awakes me, Could I not see? A dream so sweet, Felt so complete.
But standing there, Eyes full of care, You were with me, Smiling with glee.
Both hearts so close, As our eyes glow. Knowing true bliss, With one last kiss... Author's notes: Finished in September 2005. This is basically for any and all romantic ties I have between characters in my stories and fanfics and such. Not much else to say. Inspired by a song from "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker," and the reason I added the beat in is because that song has a very beautiful, particular one. It's the song you hear when you come upon a Great Fairy. if you have no idea what I'm talking about, I'll try and post an MP3.

Legends Lost in Waves By Twilight Tokyo Rose/Shannon F.
Blessed is your soul, One so noble can make the world whole. Once a boy who lived carefree, Now models the fabled hero lost in history.
Bow on back and sword in hand, He crosses the sea and the land. Lost in rains was a kingdom that wanes, Its final heir is lost somewhere.
Though fear not, must she, Her hero will come and she shall be free. All evil, no matter how much they offer to give, Will never bring pain so long as the hero doth live. Author's notes: Finished in May 2005. Pretty much based off of the whole scenario of "Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker." Inspired by that cute little song Makar plays on his violin in "LoZ: TWW." Again, if you dunno it, I'll try'n get an MP3.

Personal Demon By Shannon F./Twilight Tokyo Rose Heaven's no haven, Still stalked by the raven. Hell's a cell, It's where he loves to dwell.
Left in between, Only one place I've been. I feel his cold hand upon me, Onward I must flee.
This is the life that he gives me, Taunting always of what cannot be. These are the eyes that see not the lie, Yearning to see life without this spy. This is the voice of silence no more. Quote the raven, nevermore...
Safe for now, Though not sure how. They still recall, How I'd pick them up should they fall.
Night creeps along, My fear for him is gone. Calm moonlight's beams, Awoken by their fatal scream.
There goes the life he took for me, Killing them so that I could see. There go the eyes that saw my true side, So glad to see my when I did not hide. This is the cry of happiness no more. Quote the raven, nevermore...
With their dying breath, They point to who caused their death. And as I gaze in that mirror, My fate now is so much clearer.
Stained with their blood so warm, He allows me not to mourn. All these years I've had to run, But still fell fate to what I've become.
This is the life he shares with me, Hell's angel that takes souls as his fee. These are the eyes that show no pain, Forced to see death 'til life should wane. This is the scream of my life no more. Quote the raven, forevermore... Author's notes: Finished November 7th, 2005. Kinda cryptic, yeah, but doesn't follow any particular story. Inspired by Metalliac and Edgar Allen Poe.

Kirei's Lullaby By Shannon F./Twilight Tokyo Rose
Hush now lil' one, All is calm. May the angels cradle you, In their palm. Let their voices carry you, 'Til you wake up and start anew.
Sleep now lil' one, All is fine. May the gods protect you, In ways so divine. Let them watch you from the skies, 'Til you awake and open your eyes.
Breathe now lil' one, All is kind. May I always be with you, In your mind. Let me forever be your light, 'Til you arise and find your might. Author's notes: Finished December 15th, 2005. I actually use this poem/lullaby in my current novel about a wartorn nation. Kirei is a warrior girl of about 12, whose father is given a chance to prove his might across the land, and it more or less ends up consuming him and neglecting his daughter. The lullaby is something her father always sang to her to comfort her, now she sings it to herself, convinced that some good can come out of it. Said novel is strongly influenced by the Dynasty Warriors video games and the works of Luo Guanzhong.

Master of Puppets By Shannon F./Twilight Tokyo Rose Everything now starts anew, There's so much more to see and do. Praise the god's for their fatality, Opens up a new reality.
Go plunge headfirst into nothingness, Tell yourself that this is bliss. Your existence won't soon dull, Just never tire of getting your strings pulled.
Dance for me, sweet broken one. Don't touch the strings, you'll stop the fun. Such a nice new toy, That's mine to destroy.
My now, your strings they do entangle, About my hand, such a futile strangle. Haven't you learned from my other toys, Not to have your own personal joys?
With a snip and a snap, Removed are your straps. Have fun all alone, Whilst I make a new toy my own. Author's notes: Finished January 3rd, 2006 (First poem of the new year!). Doesn't follow a certain storyline, it's just something that popped into my head. It's a hybrid of boredom in math, Slipknot, and a picture of Sephiroth from FFVII I've had in my head for a while.
