It appears that at least two members of the men's forum are homeschooled. Why has this become so popular? Or, at least, why are your particular parents homeschooling you? Also, is it gross if you have a crush on your teacher? razz

So yeh.. Has become moar popular. All about schools being dangerous, conflicting values. But I'm aware you can all read, so I'll let you look at 'em.

Homeschooling...... That wouldn't go over well for me.
Doesn't that prevent you from developing social skills if you're just with your parents all the time?
Can I say I can't read so I don't have to read the articles?

I was home schooled for about a year. It didn't work very well for me. One of my friends was home schooled the entire time and he ended up going to a fairly decent university a year early. It can go either way. I know an entire family who is home schooled because they feel that they can provide instruction that the schools simply won't, and it seems to be working well so far.

I forgot, my cousins are/were homeschooled. One is in college I think, but the other I think is homeschooled. They're rarely home, so he kind of has to be. (they kind of migrate between Florida, Tennessee, Mexico, and Michigan.)

Because, school can be depressing and not very useful when you have 7 hours of droning then homework. Besides, when my mom asked me what I learned last year what learned, I couldnt tell her, they cram crap into you all at once.

I'm going to be homeschooled next year and the year after that (my junoir and senior years), and before this I was homeschool 2nd and 3rd grade. It's faster and easier, and we get just as much social time, if not more.
