xxxxxThe snow was a small shocked to the mare. She'd never seen it before; felt it before. But, she seemed to like it. It was almost comforting. She felt good, blended in, at some points. With her soft white coat, the only thing that really stood out was the blue of her mane and tail. Even her marking on her flank was still somewhat blending into the surrounding area. She wasn't sure how any other Usdia, or any other horse, but, she loved it.

xxxxxUhra wasn't that old, that some people would think. But to her, she had lived a full lifetime from her foal, to the time of being tamed by the humans and living in peace there, she was practically ready to settle down. But she wasn't sure about finding that perfect someone just yet. So, for now, she just wondered the open fields and forests, exploring so to speak, until she was full and ready. Which was where she was now. The snow came about to her chest, covering half her actually body, down to her hooves. It wasn't hard to move, so to speak, but there were times where she seemed to struggle.

Storming through the woods, quite a ways from his herdlands along the coast was Adom, as frustrated and a mess as ever. Problems at home which he kept to himself began to weigh on the little stallion, and feeling the odd one out from the odd group out was more than he could handle. Snorting loudly as the snow crunched and shifted from his path as strong legs pushed forward despite the height from the last snowfall.

"Ugh....I can't stand being so short!" a bit of a lost cause to be so bitchy about something he couldn't change, but it was true. He couldn't do the other things the fellow youth of the herd could, hell, even his own adopted brother was outshining him in everything he did and was as sharp as a smooth stone. It bothered him to have Darius around, as if at any time he could just snap...and then what would he do? Most of the herd was large enough to run, or fly away....but he and his mother Ikinya? Would they have to rely on Cuauh to take them both? Such thoughts bothered him, and inheriting some of his father's knack for intelligent thinking...he often found himself over analyzing everything.

Flicking his ears to the side during his tirade, he turned his head with a curious scowl...that was before he picked out a tiny mare in the snow. An Usdia? He'd never actually seen one aside from his mother, and by the look of her struggling he couldn't just walk away with good consious.

"Hey! You over there! Are you alright?" He called out across the snow, standing out like a sore thumb against the whites of his surroundings unlike she.

xxxxxUhra stopped for a second, eying a tree near by. Her head tilted somewhat, thinking quietly. If she could make her way over there, and press her hoofs against the bark, she may be able to find a spot that wasn't fully iced over, and be able to nibble on it, seeing as most the grass was gone, and the hay in the village was given to more of the horses that could be used to help the natives, than to the horses that couldn't do much. It wasn't that she minded a smaller portion than she should be getting. Winter was hard on everyone. But she also felt that the smaller horses got less. Even less than the foals.

xxxxxShaking her head from the thought, she moved quietly through the snow again, moving that way, pushing it away from her and off toward the side. But, the sound of a voice caught her attention. Her ears swiveled toward the other horse, as did her head, bright yellow gold eyes shining toward him. She stared quietly for a few seconds before smiling a bit, and turned slightly toward him, making a small circle in the snow, almost like a dot in the long trail, the end of a line. Her hoof shifted and pawed at the ground a few times, breaking the ice a bit.

xxxxx"Oh... Hello." She whispered, eyes softening some. Her tail shifted a bit, flicking to where the hair moved behind her. "I.. believe I am all right. Just trying to find a non iced over tree.. A hard task I must admit. Are you all right? You look... somewhat troubled." She said, moving slowly toward him, pushing her way through the snow, her body shuddering at one point because of the cold, but then easily and quickly stopped.

Tilting his head ever so to the sound of her soft voice carrying on the winter chill, she was clear as day in the quiet...almost serene atmosphere around them in the snow laden clearing. Looking around to the scattered trees as she spoke of it was a small piece of sanctuary for smaller equine as they. Flicking his tail as an absent thought, his attention once more turned to the femme, his chest falling with a not so subtle sigh.

He really did care too much for his own good.

"Wait there." He called, before he rose on his hind legs to take a few bounds in the snow as his weight compressed the hinder some ice to make a demi trail if she so chose to follow him. Stride and stride again he found himself before her but a breath away and found himself clearing his voice. "I'm alright....just....burdened." It wasn't something he could change...why involve a stranger? "Where I came there were a more dense gathering of trees...it should offer you some shelter you speak to get your bearings again..."

Adom found his eyes wandering to her almost unnatural marking on her shoulder blade....it looked so....strange. Not so much like his patterns but then again he did have a clear abnormal red heart on his thigh...so he kept his mouth shut about it. "What are you doing out alone on a day like this?"

xxxxxUhra's golden eyes followed him gently, staring. She tilted her head to the side, before shaking out her body, small snow fall slipping from her white coat and onto the more pure white surface of the snow. Her eyes lingered curiously on his frame, before she nodded her head at the command to wait. She really had no where else to go at the moment, so waiting wasn't that big of a problem for her.

xxxxxWhile he hopped from snowy patch to snowy patch, Uhra re-shifted her weight, and placed her hooves on the trunk of the tree. She moved carefully, trying to scrape up some bark with the point of her right hoof, succeeding in gaining a small sliver, and leaned, yanking on it with her teeth before getting it free, and nibbled on it quietly. It was then that her ears swiveled, realizing the male was far closer now. She lowered herself back to the icy ground, and looked at him in a much better light.

xxxxxHe was handsome, with his dark mane and tail, tipped with gold. The pale tan of his fur, adorned with dark markings that reminded her of the paint that she saw the natives using, dragging. Almost like ink had been dragged down in stripes along his body. The little heart on his back leg made her want to giggle, but she suppressed it, and instead, just smiled sweetly toward him, flicking her own tail, which really did nothing for her. Handsome indeed. Burdened, on the other hoof, was not something she was very pleased to hear coming from the small stallion.

xxxxx"Your home?" She inquired, ears perked. She didn't really have a home. She moved and slept where she thought was best that night, and it normally was always near the village. Her mind wondered quietly over the information, before she smiled toward him, eyes closed. "I always wonder during the days. And right now it is quite peaceful. If you do not mind me asking, what is bothering you? You can explain while we walk toward the denser trees, if you like." She said, her voice soft, an almost happy trill to it near the end.
