This is the first version: Experiment 777, Loretta:

Unlike Xanathalas, Loretta was obsessed with molecular biology and genetics. As a tribute to doing this, I have currently made my avatar of Loretta ^^.
She didn't understand computers too well, despite being one, but knew a LOT about molecular biology and biochem.
The second version, Experiment 778, was named Fleck. However, Fleck did not last long and was put down within a matter of days of her creation due to her over violent behavior.
The third experiment, Experiment 779, was named Float. Float was created to be the complete opposite of Fleck, however this failed as well as she was overly emotional and couldn't focus on anything. Put down within a few weeks.
The fourth experiment, Experiment 780, was a combination of both Float and Fleck. Basically just an extension of both of them at the same time in hopes of finding a balance. Her name was Flock. Flock seemed to at least become a bit more successful than the others, but often tended to be exceedingly bipolar due the nature of how she was created. Lasted a bit longer than the other ones, but ended up disappearing mysteriously without any signal to Requiem or anywhere else. It was like she disappeared.

Flock is very, very much like Xanathalas, however, and there is some strange connection behind the two. Flock ended up being dead after a few years had passed, but know one knew the nature of her disappearance. However, Xanathalas and Flock are often considered the same in the nature of themselves, but Xanathalas has had many improvements.

Flock's left eye was completely cybernetic, unlike Xanathalas' which is fully human with nanites residing in it.
Then we arrive at Xanathalas, the current one, the most successful and longest living by far. Lots and lots and lots of images are here.
This was really the tl;dr rundown of her 'evolution'. I'll go more in-depth if RP ever requires it. ^^
This was the first art that I ever received of Xanathalas:
