After agreeing to split up in order to find unique allies, Team #1's Metsuki Kagai began looking for Wild Pokemon
Solo Event Rules
1. Start the Event by describing which Pokemon Habitat your character is heading to. Your choices are Urban, Arctic, Tundra, Taiga, or Grassland.
2. Your character will manage to find a Wild Pokemon. If you aren't interested in this specific Pokemon, you may pass up the opportunity and continue looking. In this scenario, you are only allowed to do this up to two times, so if you end up passing up two Wild Pokemon, you will encounter a third, but it will be the last that you encounter in this Event.

[Enter Grasslands]
The sun was beating down on the grasslands as Metsuki made his way through the open fields. The warmth was a welcome change from the bitter cold he had endured for the passed short while. Mighty gusts of wind blew across the open expanse of terrain and with it came smells and objects carried from distant lands. Metsuki stopped a moment and inhaled deeply as the wind passed. One could almost discover where the breeze had been simply by picking up the collage of random scents that it had brought with it.
It was easy to get lost in thought and time out here. Everything was so peaceful and solitary. Alas, Metsuki had to continue moving so that he could attempt to find a Pokemon whose power would be useful in Metsuki's quest. A quest that he chose to keep hidden from his allies and that remained, and would remain, unspoken to anyone.
He was feeling rejuvenated having visited the Pokemon Center before leaving Seiuchi City. He and his Pokemon had received a much needed respite from their previous battles. Now all he needed to do was find a Pokemon out here in these vast plains.

After making his way through the grassland for a short while, Metsuki managed to come across a single black and purple Pokemon known as Illumise. The Pokemon was nestled in the grass, enjoying the comforts of the day.

In the distance Metsuki could see a small bug Pokemon fluttering around. It was a colorful Pokemon and one he had never seen before. He flipped open his Pokedex and looked it up. It was called an Illumise and was a bug type Pokemon. It seemed like an interesting find, but he was looking for something a little more dynamic. He decided not to engage and continued his search. He hoped his decision did not come back to haunt him later. His father had always told him that even the most modest looking Pokemon had potential to become adept in their own way.

Having passed up the bug Pokemon, Metsuki managed to come across quite a different Pokemon. It was small, round, and most importantly, pink. There were two Igglybuff playing around with a few blades of grass, tossing them up into the air and laughing as they did so.

It was hard to imagine how some Pokemon were still alive. It seemed like they would have been picked off by predators at some point. Igglypuff was one of said Pokemon. Just the sight of it made Metsuki shake his head. He knew that some trainers appreciated their capabilities, but he was not one of them. He moved on without giving it a second thought.

As the evening was drawing near, Metsuki stumbled upon what would be the last Pokemon he'd be able to battle for the day, as night was approaching. It was a small and pink Pokemon that was quietly chewing on a few blades of grass, unaware of Metsuki's presence.
Wild Encounter Species: Nidoran Number of Pokemon: 1
Will the Trainer engage the Nidoran in battle? If you would like to, send out your Pokemon. If you're not interested, your character should say so.

Metsuki crouched as soon as he saw the Nidoran. Finally he was having a bit of luck. Nidoran were excellent combatants and had a large variety of moves. It appeared to be a male also. The coloring on it was a dead giveaway.
A smile made its way across Metsuki's face. He was glad that he had stumbled across a Nidoran. "I am going to need you for this fight, Joules!" Metsuki called out as he unclipped her Pokeball from his belt and threw it into field just in front of the Nidoran. The Pokeball opened up and with a bright light releasing Joules just a short distance from the Nidoran. She landed on her feet and immediately faced the Nidoran. She was ready for battle. When Nidoran heard the Trainer speak to its Pokemon, it immediately went on guard. This Pokemon was smart enough to realize that humans with Pokemon couldn't be trusted. Unfortunately, it was slower than the Pokemon that stood before it, giving its opponent the first advantage in the battle. It reared back in a defensive stance, bracing itself for any sort of attack.

Joules might not be strong yet, but she was still fast. She clearly had the Nidoran outmatched for speed which gave her the advantage for now. Metsuki needed to take the opportunity to slow down the other Pokemon even more and, hopefully, paralyze it.
"Joules! Charge up and hit him with your Thunderwave!" Metsuki called out to his Minun. Joules planted her feet, let out a loud squeak, and started charging up her attack. Energy pulsed around her and Metsuki could hear various kinds of popping and cracking noises. She let the Thunderwave go and it surged towards the Nidoran. Out in this field with no kind of cover available there wasn't a chance she could miss.
Thunder Wave – Electric Electricity rushes through the air, shutting down the target’s nervous system. Center – None Ranged None Effect: 1 Target, Column Thunder Wave creates a Column that is 2-meters wide. All Legal Targets in the Column are Paralyzed. Thunder Wave cannot miss.

Nidoran is paralyzed.
Paralysis Check: 6
The Nidoran winced as the electricity sapped it of much of its speed and caused it to feel as though it was having difficulty moving. Unfortunately, it couldn't move at all.
The round ends.

It was a welcome sight seeing the Pokemon become temporarily paralyzed. Joules had performed well. He was tempted to swap Pokemon and throw his Vulpix into the mix, but he decided against it. For now at least.
Metsuki decides to skip his Trainer Action
"Joules! Try hitting him with your Quick Attack!" Metsuki called out to his Minun. Joules did not even hesitate as she ran toward the paralyzed Nidoran. She built up a good amount of speed in the short distance between him and her and right before they connected she pounced toward him.
Quick Attack – Normal A speedy attack impacts the target before the target can act. At-Will – 2 Melee Physical Damage Check: 2d10 Effect: 1 Target, Interrupt If your foe wants to declare a Move, you instead use Quick Attack on their turn before they can use their Move.
