My favorite author is L.J. Smith. Her book that is my favorite is Night World 2. L.J. Smith's writing is so pristine and easy to follow, yet it's always a mystery. For some reason, she isn't widely known by the age group that thw writing applies to. No matter, her books are quite extraordinary pieces of fantasy. They have a unique mixture of witches, vampires, and werewolves with romance with human beings. However, it isn't quite your normal 'Twilight' sort of thing. It has an uncanny realness to it that can't be surpassed nor superceeded.

My favourite author is Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. She inspires me because she became an author at the age of fifteen, the same age as me, at the time. Since I read her first book, I’ve been hooked on her. My favourite book of hers is probably going to be Midnight Predator because the main male character, Jaguar, can transform into a Jaguar at will. He is the master of the mansion Midnight, which is a fabled vampire realm and known for human slave trade. Our heroine enters to kill a vampire who tried to kill her, but she enters as a slave. Her name is Turquoise. The book is so fascinating that I go back to reread it often, as with all of her books.

My favorite author is Piers Anthony. He is very well known for the "Xanth" books. His novels have very easy to get humor and great character personality. He has very creative creatures and plants in his books that you won't forget. One of those creatures is a Meat-Eating tree that strangles it's prey with tentacles. I normally don't like humor books, but he manages to combine humor and total seriousness together perfectly.

My most-liked author is Raymond E. Feist. My most-liked book is his first one: Magician. The reasons I like this author and his books are 1) Because it was the first book I read off my parent’s shelves. And 2) Because he takes cliché things (magic, dragons, elves, dwarves, etc.) and makes it NEW. Un-cliché. It’s a fantastic twist, which I love. And, as far as I can tell, it’s not based on something that already exists on earth – certain nations in particular. You won’t see much of the twist in just the first book though. It proceeds gradually, leaving you thinking “What will he come up with next?” And I wait every slow moment in anticipation of the next book. It definitely keeps you hooked.

I love reading, so when somebody asks me what my favorite book is, its always hard to decide. But hands on, my favorite book is Tuck Everlasting by: Natalie Babbit. I don't like it for the plot or the story,(in fact, honestly the plot and the storyline is boring) I like it because the words that the author uses are amazing, astounding and breath taking. The author uses words that are vivid, describe well and gives a good picture. While i was reading the book, I was unimpressed by the storyline but the adjectives really jumped out at me and gave me a very clear picture of the enviroment, the people, everything. If anybody ever asks me what my favorite book to use for writing inspirations, I would say "Tuck Everlasting."

On the other hand, my favorite book in terms of best storyline and plot would be "The Mysterious Benedict Society." It's a great book that keeps you on the edge of your seat and keeps you there. The plot is very interesting and the storyline is well thought out. It's actually the first in three books and I've read all three. Normally, in series, the first book is the best while the books after that are not as good and become dissapointing. This series is different. All the books are different and thrilling, I loved all of them but the first book was my favorite. It's a long book (for some) with a couple hundred pages but it's worth reading.

Not this time, because I'm going to have the guild vote, and I want people to vote based on how much they like the response. I'm trying to eliminate the bias of names C:

Yuk...sorry.
Essays scare me to death. I'll say my favorite author and why, just...don't say the word essay or paper. I have cried because I've heard those words.
