 Darius had had a long journey, and though he had seen and done many things he had never imagined possible he was glad to be home. Sighing with an ironic smile curling his lips he just shook his head. He knew he should visit his parents soon, though maybe not yet, he had just returned and a couple of days to rest and settle again would be nice. Though it was sad to admit it but he actually didn't know anyone here other than his family to stay with. Ah well it wouldn't be the first night he had spent under a tree, though the weather was still on the cold side for doing such things it couldn't be helped. Making his way along a path he headed for the river and refreshment, keeping an eye out for a possible place to stay the night.

Yes, the Sabino Usdia felt so safe inside the teepee. But it didn't help her out now, oh no. She was wandering again and got lost. It was the first time she'd gotten lost like this. What was she going to do? Her ears flicked uneasily, her tail slapped against her side and all the while she was going as slow as she possibly could in fear of something hearing her. It wasn't dark, but it was unfamiliar territory none the less.

Getting lost had never been something that worried him, then again he had often felt stifled in the safe environment of home, when he had finally grown he had been able to wander and do as he wished and the experience had been truly liberating. He probably wouldn't have returned home had he not finally felt at peace with himself.
Pausing in his walking he tilted his head, listening carefully, he could definitely hear something, though it wasn't moving fast, this made him think less of a predator, though some of them could move slowly till it was too late. Shifting his weight, the stars in his mane twinkling brightly in the winter sunlight that filtered down through the mostly leafless trees. Frowning a little, the stars were a pain at times like this, they would flash and give away where he was. He debated with himself for a short time before carrying on walking, though more slowly than before, allowing himself to listen. Not wanting to go towards the noise but keeping it in ear shot in case it wasn't a predator. His attention more on the noise than looking for food, water and a place to sleep, but then if the noise wanted to eat him those things would be the last thing on his mind.

Steps that weren't her's made Pepper pause and her brows furrow. Swallowing thickly, her light brown eyes flicked this way and that to pin point just what, or who, was walking by her. Ears flicking this way and that, the female paused in her steps and then sighed. Well, they stopped for now. Sargent Pepper started walking again, a bit quicker in case whoever it was was chasing her. At least she wouldn't feel completely helpless. Really, she wasn't. If worse came to worse, Pepper knew how to defend herself.
But then the steps happened again and she whimpered. "Stop it! Stop following me." She pouted and looked around again before a flash caught her eye. Looking toward it, she saw it was another Usdia! "Hey, hey..." She called out to him, her voice shaking slightly. Maybe he could help her get back to the river. From there, she could find her own way home!

Stopping when he heard yelling, looking round, about to call back that he wasn't following anyone when a usdia mare called out to him, and she looked a little scared. Tilting his head before walking over towards her. He had never really been the heroic prince type but he also wasn't about to leave a scared mare to fend for herself, after all she must be scared for a reason. Offering her a friendly smile when he reached her. "Yes? Is something wrong?" Not having a clue what had freaked her so, even less of a clue that it had been him. Shifting his weight, he was no good with females, especially scared ones, but as she figited the stars in his mane and tale twinkled.
