Hello everyone, this is Infinity-Nevermore. A real pain in the butt, I know, but necessary. Time for:
Rules
1. Respect the ToS and the rules of Spammi Nation. If we see a violation of either of these, your post will be deleted and you will be warned or banned depending on the severity of the offense.
2. No god-modding. You're not invincible or immortal (most of the time). Learn how to take a hit and stop being a wuss.
3. You can use either *asterisked* or story format. I just happened to start off in story format.
Edit: This thread will be in Story format. I don't want to ruin the trend. It's not hard. If it's absolutely undoable, you can make your own thread.
4. Be at least semi-literate. Pretend that you learned something in English class and you have some grasp of the English language.
5. Don't be random. This is a big one. Unless you have some strange powers of teleportation or mind-reading, sometimes there will be points where for the sake of sanity, you cannot post. Wait for a reasonable time to join in. And if you're leaving the RP, say something or do something that will alert everyone instead of just disappearing. Finally, if you want to claim prior relationship with someone, PM them first so they won't be confused.
6. Finally, enjoy yourselves and have lots of fun!

Reika sighed and buried her head in her hands. "I've missed my boat. I'll never finish my training, I'll never become an Agent. Nine years of work for nothing. Where the hell am I anyway? This forest isn't on the map." After a quick glance at said map, she balled it up, threw it in the air and blasted it to ashes with a Firebolt. Feeling a strong urge to slash something, she pulled her long, thick sword from its holster on her back and began swinging it around without even looking. A soft sound, like a whisper, fell upon her ears. She quickly turned in the direction of the noise, narrowing her eyes. "Who's there?"

Nick was walking through the forest and quietly singing to herself, her tail swaying to the beat inside her head. From her expression, one would think that she didn't have a care in the world...and right now, she didn't. She held the strap of her backpack in both of her hands as she continued to entertain herself. She would do a front flip every once in a while, but soon she took to the tree's. She climbed the nearest one and began to leap from branch to branch. As she jumped off one branch, she jumped kind of high and came down head first as she aimed for her next target. When she spotted it she landed in a one handed hand stand, catching her pack with her free hand as it began to fall off of her. Seeing the ground below her, she shifted her weight forward and fell to the ground, landing as smoothly as she could. As she stood up, she noticed a flash of light. Curiosity immediately overcame her and she carefully and quietly made her way over to the area. Staying in the shadow's, she watched as the girl swung her sword around. At seeing the sight, she couldn't help but to give a soft giggle. When the girl heard her, she stepped out of the shadow's with her arms folded over her stomach. She smiled and spoke in a friendly voice, "Don't be alarmed, it's only a fox demon".

Reika frowned and tilted her head to the side, analyzing the stranger. "Fox demon? Never heard of 'em. How'd you get here?" She held her sword in front of her, ready to slice this "fox demon" to shreds if she tried anything funny.

Well, someone's been sheltered, Nick thought to herself as a soft giggle escaped her once more. She shook the thought from her head and turned her attention back to the girl, "I'm a halfling. I'm sure you can figure out what half's", she said with a smile. She slightly tilted her head to the side, mimicking the girl, as she asked her question. After a few seconds of thought, she shrugged and replied, "I walked". At seeing her raise her sword, Nick straightened her head and looked down at the device on her right hand. It was a glove like thing that had a dot on each of her fingers. Wires wide enough to cover her finger's ran from the dots and up her hands. They connected at a band around her wrist and held in place a small, black, box that was an oval shape and came to a point on one end. There was a green light that would blink every so often. Nick looked at the light and then back to the girl. If she thought about attacking, it would be a huge mistake on her part. She gave a small sigh and turned her back to the girl. She didn't feel like fighting nor did she want someone else's bad mood to ruin her good one. "Seems like you have some issues to work out. That or learn better manner's", she said as she started into the forest once more, headed in no particular direction.

Reika's mouth dropped. "What's that supposed to mean?" she yelled as she went to follow the strange half-fox, demon-fox, half-demonic... whatever. "Excuse me if I'm just a little wary of something I've never even heard of!" She put her sword back in its holster, now concentrating on finding her short-lived companion, and possibly the only friendly being in this forest. She was just a little paranoid, and could swear that there were people in the trees, whispering to her. Or about her. They could be planning an ambush... "Wait up!" she yelled as she dashed off in the direction she'd seen the halfling go.

Nick heard the girl as she called after her, but kept on walking, placing her hands behind her head. She was looking for a good tree to rest in when the girl told her to wait up. Curiously, she turned around and waited for her. She let her hands fall to her side as she watched the girl get closer and closer. She spoke to her, in a voice loud enough for her to hear, yet friendly all the same, "Wait up? Why would you want something you've never even heard of to wait up? I've never heard of you before....actually, I'm still not even sure of what you are, but I didn't hold it against you", a smile spread across her lips and she crossed her arms as she continued, "Does this mean you've had a change of heart?". She was teasing the girl a bit and enjoying it. Be nice, most people fear what they do not know..., she thought to herself as she let out a small sigh. She looked to the ground and then back up to the girl. Her usual smile placed itself back on her face as she spoke, "What's your name?"

Reika sighed in relief as the half-fox stopped and turned around. She listened to her as she started walking now. "You're teasing me and I know it. Fine. I'm a human. I only held up my weapon because," she held out her arm, covered in scratches, gashes and scars, "in my line of work, when you're not on your guard, things like this happen." She tugged on the hood of her cloak, making sure it hadn't slipped off her head. "I'm sorry for holding a sword at you." She held out her hand. "My name's Reika. What's yours?"

Nick stood there with her arms crossed as she looked at the girls arm. She gave a slight nod, seeing now why she was iffy about her. Nick's trust factor was high. If you didn't harm her, then she had no reason to hold anything against you. Yet, at the same time, she was able to sense a person's true feelings. She had turned her back on Reika because she had felt that she wouldn't attack her if she showed herself harmless and simply walked away. Of course, there are times when she can be wrong. A grin spread across her face as Reika mention the teasing. At seeing her hold her hold her hand out, she uncrossed her arms and gave her hand a shake, "Apology accepted. Nice to meet you Reika, I'm Nickolaous, but call me Nick", she let go of her hand and then gave a graceful bow. She was curious about what her line of work was, but she knew that it was none of her business. As she stood up straight, she asked a different question, "Mind if I ask where you are headed?"

Reika let out the breath she'd unconsciously been holding. She bowed her head in response, her hand tugging on the edge of her hood. A nervous habit she'd never gotten over. "I'm supposed to be on the other side of the world right now." She sighed in frustration. "I was supposed to be catching a boat to some island in the South Pacific. I got lost, then I chopped my compass in half, so I have no idea which way I'm supposed to be going. Maybe once I get to the other side of this forest, I can figure out how, where on this map..." She suddenly fell to her knees.

Nick watched as Reika bowed her head and tugged on her hood. She listened with interest as she explained her situation. She thought about it for a second, going through any options in her mind that might be of help to the girl. Usually I'm good at direction, but I've never been here before..let alone explored this entire place, she thought to herself. She couldn't help but to give a soft laugh at hearing that she had chopped up her compass. She had a smart remark, like most of the time, but decided to keep it to herself. The laugh was replaced by her usual smile as she spoke, "Well maybe we can get you unlost if...". At that moment she watched as Reika fell to her knee's. She immediately rushed to her side, "Hey, are you all right?", she asked in a concerned voice.

Her fists flew from under her cloak and pounded the soft grass. "Blast it!" She laughed nervously. "I kinda incinerated my map. Now I have no idea where I'm going. I can't go back like this." She quickly swiped under her hood. "So," she forced a cheerful tone, "I guess I'm lost. Where are you headed?" she asked, slowly lifting her head to an upright position. "I can't go anywhere without basic stuff, like a compass." She sighed, depressed. "I guess you have me stuck to your side for a while. Do you mind?" Once more she tugged at her hood.

Nick let of a sigh of relief. She thought Reika was hurt, but was happy to find out that she wasn't. She smiled, took a step back and held a hand out to the girl, offering to help her up, "No, that's fine. Maybe the two of us can somehow get you unlost", she gave a small giggle. Truth was, she was in the forest for a reason. She was seeking a group of people who supposedly lived there so that she could train with them. She had wandered about aimlessly, unsure of her surroundings or where it was that she was suppose to go. Though her travels could wait for the moment. As she looked at Reika, she more sensed someone move than saw them. They had been perfectly quiet and moved in a blur of speed. She knew who it was and she wasn't happy that he had found her. Maybe she wasn't as carefree as she seemed.

As Reika took Nick's hand, she almost felt the wind move around them. She wasn't sure whether that was her paranoia kicking in until she saw Nick's face. Her normally happy expression had faltered. Reika got up and pulled out her sword. "Friend of yours?" she asked as she closed her eyes and tried to concentrate on the mysterious figure's aura.

As Reika pulled out her sword, Nick stepped in front of her. Her face was neutral as she looked out of the corner of her eye. She brought her gaze to Reika and spoke in a whisper, "Put your weapon away and pretend like you didn't notice him. Don't worry, he won't hurt you and he won't come out with you around me. I guess you can say we've been hunting each other. Last time we faced off, I made a deal with him to keep it strictly between us", she shifted her gaze downward as the scene played back in her mind. She gave a small sigh and lifted her head up, showing her usual smile, "So, let's try to find out where you're suppose to be", she said outloud in a happy tone of voice. She then gave a soft laugh and started to walk in the direction that she was headed before Reika stopped her.
