The king towered over his son by at least two stories. the air was thick with tension and energy.
"VEGETA! TRANSFORM ALL YOU WANT! THIS APE FORM IS WHERE OUR TRUE POWER LIES! HAVE YOU NO PRIDE? LETS FINISH THIS BATTLE!"
The king swung a heavy blow at his son, but Vegeta easily dodged and countered with a series of kicks to the ape's gut. the king fell to the ground on one knee.
"You have the nerve to call yourself a king but you bow before a prince? Better, you bow before that worthless slime Freiza? YOUR NO KING!"
Vegeta unleashed a furious barrage of Ki blasts point blank in the king's face. There was a massive explosion and when the smoke cleared the king was laying on his back.
"Don't play dead........you have plenty of power left."
The king suddenly vanished and reappeared behind vegeta and pounded hhim to the ground.
"YOUR RIGHT.......I HAVE PLENTY OF POWER TO SPARE. MORE THAN YOU THINK.BUT WHILE WE ARE ON THE SUBJECT OF POWER.....I HAVE A TECHNIQUE I HAVE BEEN MEANING TO TRY OUT. BUT BE WARNED......I CAN'T CONTROL IT FULLY."

"STOP! Kakarrot do you feel that? The monarchs are really goin at it, huh?"
Goku stopped raising his power level and looked at his father.
"Look kid......i always knew you were destined for great things.When i heard there was a child born with incredible strength i knew it had to be you.but you were low-class like me....I felt betrayed. not by you........by that ape up there. i regret not trusting in my instincts. i was alost stronger than the king. Dammit i could've beaten him and taken the throne.....but i didn;t want to rule. i wanted to fight. i know its the same with you......and even raditz.that could be me and you up there killing each other.....but i feel it. neither one of us has it in us to kill the other. do you kno i can't even remember when your brother's birthday is? what kind of a father am i?"
Goku floated up to his father.
"When i fought Freiza.......i felt my hate...but it was like there was another voice in my head telling me to let go. it soiunded an awful lot like you now that i think about it. and when i transformed i remember telling my son to run away because it was like the voice was controling my body. but somehow it seems like....my........father helped my fight freiza.......thank you.....through your hate it saw my race in another light. that even warriors like us get beaten....."
and with that Bardock hugged his son. and his son hugged him back.
"OK enough with the sentimentals. we're missing the show!"
"crap! Vegeta! i forgot he was here!"

Vegeta lie there listening to the words his father said......
"new technique? what does he mean? and why did kakarrot's power drop so suddenly. he can't have bested his father already while mine is giving me so much hell.......blast him."
suddenly a hand appeared in the hole where vegeta lie.
vegeta sprang up and dodged the appendages,but there wasn't enough room to manuver an escape.
"damn. only one way out."
vegeta exerted his ki from his body and blew the crater wider. what he saw when the smoke cleared horrified him.............
his father's level suddenly skyrocketed, and his fur began to glow white and his eyes turned fully green.
"No........he has learned to ascend while an ape........this is unreal- UGH!!!!!!!"
Vegeta was cut off midsentence as his father blasted him from afar. vegeta, bruised and bloody stood there defiantly, his shirt almost completly blown off.
"I TOLD YOU IT WAS NEW......HOW DO YOU LIKE THE TRUE POWER OF A SAIYAN? ANSWER ME WHEN I SPEAK YOU TAILLESS BRUTE!"
the king screamed while moving spastically towards his son.
"tell me, father......did you think that that piss-poor attack would work? tailless and wounded i may be but i can still fight!"
Vegeta powered up and rushed his father. there was a sonic boom when they collided. the king wildly swung his fist at vegeta, and vegeta blocked it with a kick and delivered a punch to the kinghs snout. the king howled in pain and tried to bite vegeta, the prince leapt back and used a big bang attack and blasted his father square in the eye.
"i remember when a certain lower-class damaged my eye while i was transformed. do you know what he told me? 'here's something to help you remember me by.......' so i want you to remember this defeat, father."
vegeta was about to damage the other eye whern he felt a massive hand grab him. when he look at his father he realized that his father had grabbed him with his tail.
"AND *SNARL* IF I REMBER CORRECTLY YOU ALSO CRUSHED THAT CERTAIN LOWER CLASS SOLIDER WHILE IN THIS FORM. BROKE EVERY BONE. OH, YES IM GOING TO BREAK EVERY BONE IN YOUR BODY, BUT NOT BY SQUEEZING YOU. I'M GOING TO POUND YOU TIL YOU BREAK!"
and with tht the king punched vegeta, almost snapping the princes neck.
vegeta reverted to his normal state and began to vomit blood. the king saw this and screeched in delight. The king swung his tail around to a plateau ad laid his tail on the surface.
"don't die yet........its just begun........."
