Versus should include profanity and welll just make it into a M rated game and i would be happy^^

Hm, well, I think it's too early to start making any specific predictions. They mentioned revamping combat, so that's something.... They also said there will be a lot more people hanging around in the game, but I really want actual towns.... I want a good storyline, but that's a given.... And most importantly, I want them to not-ruin any of the characters' personalities. 3nodding Huh? You think profanity will automatically make it a good game?  Sure, it has its place, especially if it fits the characters (VII is a good example of that), but honestly, I find it tends to detract from the experience if there's more than a spattering of it. It annoys me in real life when people swear for no good reason, and it annoys me in fiction.

Personally, I don't think it's going to be that grand. I didn't really like the first FFXIII for several reasons and I just don't think they can make it better. The graphics look amazing and the villain looks intense (I've watched the trailer) but I didn't like Lightning and I doubt this game will be too good. I wasn't a fan of the gameplay, the characters, the lack of store, the faulty storyline... the list could go on. How they intend to make this one batter than the last- well- I don't see it happening. Nevertheless, I still intend to buy it when it gets here.

Hm. I'm looking forward to whether they'll bring back old characters or create new ones. (FANGPLEASE?) I also hope it's not as linear as the first, I personally feel it wasn't as bad as most people said it was. That's just how the story went. You had to continue forward to complete the focus.
Though, I liked Light's Blazefire better. crying

I did read somewhere (don't have the link) that here was supposedly an Angel vs. Demon/Holy vs. Unholy theme going on. I'd love to see that =]

Oh my goshhhhh, screenshots and a teaser trailer were just released! The trailer is ridiculously short, but I appreciate it just the same. Serah looks awesome, and I'm really excited about Noel who is adorable. Nora's in it too; hopefully they're... like, actually important this time around. Here are the screenshots, and here's the trailer. There's also an analysis of the trailer here, plus I found an interesting description of the game. Press release Set a few years after Lightning and the others saved Cocoon, some survivors have decided to start over by rebuilding on Gran Pulse. Lightning, however, is nowhere to be found and thought dead by many, but Serah believes otherwise. When her town is suddenly overrun by monsters, a mysterious man named Noel appears to save her. Together, the two set off to find Lightning… Sounds pretty cliché, actually. The whole "I believe she's still alive, even if nobody else does!" thing, I mean. Then again, a commercial for Final Fantasy VIII described it as "a story of one man's... quest to capture the heart of the woman he loves," so obviously sometimes people have no idea what they're talking about. xd

Okay, so am I the only one who is wondering....where the heck is Snow?! If this is a Serah-centric game then its only natural that Snow would be following her around like the little puppy-dog he is, so it just seems a bit odd to me that Noel has to save her. Hmmm...the plot thickens stare

I was wondering about that, too... but then, Serah's going all crazy, "Lightning's alive!" If Snow were missing too, I can't imagine she wouldn't be going on about him, too. So either they're selectively cutting him out of what they show us, or there's something different going on with him.
I hope, though, that there's not going to be any sort of love triangle with Noel. He seems awesome so far, but I may have to turn on him if he starts breaking up engaged couples.
