Alright, we know that last year we had a Pizza Party. Should we do this again next year? Should we add something new to the mix? Orrrrr should we do something completely new?
Post your ideas (and support for the idea?) and the new Metro Party theme will be announced in April.
(Panel plans are still up in the air, announcements will made shortly.)

I like the idea of having the Pizza Party again. If we can fit it into the schedule maybe we could play some games or something.Like cards, scategories, something like that. Maybe get the drinks before the party. If we do the pizza party and order from the same place( Was it Pizza Hut or Dominoes? Anyone remember?), I'd like to make a "Thank you" card for the manager... It'll be cool to see what other people think we should do though.^^ I'm curious about some new ideas.

Maybe not a pizza party- but maybe just a food party? Not everyone eats pizza... or like me, maybe they're just too picky to eat normal pizza. XD
((Pepperoni, extra cheese, no sauce.))
Didn't someone mention a sushi party? XD
Most meetups seem to devolve into "all of us together laugh and screw around with no real purpose" anyway, so why not just make a meetup where the goal is to make at least one new friend?

Kyoki Marie Most meetups seem to devolve into "all of us together laugh and screw around with no real purpose" anyway, so why not just make a meetup where the goal is to make at least one new friend? There's only one problem with that. The only way we made the Metrocon party was a success last year was BECAUSE the food brought us together. (XD ) No other Gaia Con party was successful. ^^ So, we might take that idea in addition to food.

As Pancake pointed out,the food is what kept everyone hanging out.Even though it is always my goal to leave with atleast one new friend. I think that is always the goal.Which is why we bother meeting up.
As for the pizza party, I suggested pizza because it's easily accessible and not too expensive. But if you don't like pizza, maybe we could find something to offer as an alternative? Or find a completely new choice that works.
I know Ally said chinese food earlier. And I want to mention this before someone else says it. While chinese food is indeed yummy there would be several problems with this.
1- We'd have to find a chinese restaurant,and try and get them to deliver such a large order on short notice.
2-While there were atleast 5 different pizza reccomendations, chinese has a larger variety which means everyone would want something different.Which means the "so, what is this? Is this your order or yours?"
There's a lot of complications with that, while pizza is a bit easier...
Oh!Sorry.My brain works in randomness. I believe most Pizza Hut's have now combined with a wing street. Which I know atleast has chicken and french fries? We could get an order of chicken or something for the non-pizza eaters?

Pizza will work, but I'll have to pay for a separate little pizza to my tastes. ^_^ I'm used to doing that, since i'm such a picky eater anyway. XP

i like the idea of doing the pizza party again. the last one was pretty fun. i also like the idea of games as well. also, chinese would also be more expensive than pizza.

Thought I'd let you know, since the courthouse is so close the only real places are subway and starbucks.

I'm down with anything to eat, but games would be fun.
We should raffle off some donation letters or something.
Like, sealeds for that month.
We could print out pictures of the sealeds and make little certificates for the winners so they would have something saying like "Hey, I won a sealed at MetroCon 2006" so it would be "real" and then send the trade after the convention to them. whee

And yes pizza is a lot cheaper then chinese. Also chibi did u notice the 555 deal is going on at Dominos again? Brings back fun memories of me u and Pancake staying up late plotting for the Gaia meet. xd Still waiting for a Roy to give the ok for Panels at MetroCon....if we do indeed get permission for the Panel then we could always have the meet then. 3nodding
