It's corrupted and makes people very fearful and closed minded. How do you think crusades even started, discrimination between each other because of religion/sexuality/beliefs, wars, and misinterpretation happens in this world that just leaves those who are brainwashed and confused to even know what they're truly believing in and don't even want to question themselves because of fear for breaking some sort of rule to the game or feel like they'll be sent straight to hell and follow opinions that aren't even theirs.
I respect people who have their OWN views on things, believe whatever you want it's not going to affect me if we don't have the same views or make me hate you, I'm no person to judge.
But wouldn't people for once would like to see how they feel when someone judges them or does something against you because of things such as this while maybe seeing how you could be doing the same thing to someone else in a way, even if you try to "convert" them because "it's the right way to believe in something"? How would we even know everything that's said word for word is right, especially when it's coming from other people that isn't even God, Jesus, Allah, whoever you refer your God as (if you even believe in God)? Sure we have the bible, but over the past centuries it seems the view of the bible itself and God is viewed very differently as time went on, adding or eliminating things that once was there or if not at all.
I've been raised as a Catholic ever since then, but I'm starting to think maybe organized religion isn't right for me all together. As for believing in a spiritual world other than being in this world, there's a possibility. Not going to say there is or isn't and say I'm right on my word. Whatever takes me to where I go, I will go; even if it takes awhile for me to see what's really there for ME and where I will go, I don't know about you. We should be focusing on what we should be doing here and now if we want some sort of peace among ourselves.
