⋆ Moon & Star Arcade is mostly filled with males gambling, smoking, swearing, fighting, and drinking. The arcade is located on the bad side of town. It has a history of fights gone wrong, very wrong. Needless to say, it isn't the best place to go at night or by one's self. Especially for females. Fifteen dollars is needed to get in. Try not to gamble away anything important.

Anika Nadia

Twisted this feeling walked out of shape
So tired of revealing the moves that I make

And I know, yes I know, but is this real?
And I know, yes I know, but is this real?

Feeling inconstant could drive me insane
Flesh to blood to bone to love
Twisted...

And I know, yes I know, but is this real?
And I know, yes I know, but is this real?

Β© Paying the man at the door, Anika was practically shoved inside by another man who was obviously excited to go gamble away his paycheck. She didn't understand why he would do something so stupid a that, and merely shrugged her shoulders. Heading forward into the arcade, she could smell smoke and looked around. Some men standing near the back of the arcade were eyeing her. She once again, didn't understand and simply smiled and waved. The men chuckled and she grinned before heading over to the lottery machines. Slipping in a couple of quarters, she herself decided it would be nice to play with a machine. It would make her feel more at home. Β©

I’ve got more win, a better kiss, and a hotter touch than
any boy or girl you’ll ever meet.

Normally a place like this was never one a regular person would go to. Or that was one of the first thoughts to cross through Violet’s mind as she stood outside, looking at the building. She could hear all the loud voices inside and saw a few questionable people head inside. Boy was the title of β€œarcade” misleading! Despite what was more than likely lurking inside, Violet paid the fifteen bucks to get inside. Places like this could give her the slight adrenaline rush she needed at the moment. Then again she wasn’t worried about anything going wrongβ€”which was why she ignored a few of those disgusting looks she got from pigheaded men.

It was men as far as the eye could see in this place. Aside from the occasional female that may or may not have arrived with a date, some probably even worked here. Where to begin. Violet wondered as she looked about. Gambling wasn’t exactly her thing but she didn’t mind doing it now and again, though she was more-or-less here because she thought it was an actual gaming arcade and didn’t feel like turning around and going all the way back across town to some places she saw earlier. A tiny part of her also wanted to see some fights break out though it was best she didn’t participate in them or even starting them.

β€œFull.” Violet muttered. She wasn’t an expert when it came to gambling so she stuck to the far more simple machines and she didn’t find any open ones to use. Perhaps a game of pool then, seeing as some guys were just loitering around it. β€œAll right fellas,” Violet said as she moved to the pool table. β€œEither play a game or two of pool with me or move it so I can play it solo.” she instructed as she grabbed a cue stick.

Kaburagi was walking towards the arcade. Not to neccicerily play games, but to get in a fight. The exterior of the arcade showed how rowdy and dispicable the men were inside. Laos heard about the men taking over the arcade, and if any woman went in they would come out dirty and in tears. But that was only if they didn't know how to protect themselves, obviously. So many stereotypes about women were just dead wrong. She could beat up anyone in that arcade without even breaking a nail like most girls.
Reaching the arcade, she shoved the money into the collector's chest, making him fall back a little. Not only being tough, she was also quite seductive around men. Not in this place. The only men there were smoky gamblers and druggies. A large pool table caught her attention, for there was s purple haired girl bossing the men around. In her eyes it seemed as if they probably were not going to go on account of how harmless she was to them, so she decided to "help out". Kaburagi just stood next to the girl, one hand on her katana, the other supporting her against the pool table. They just stared at her, and did nothing. Being very impatient, she slammed her other hand on the pool table and said loudly,
"Well?!?!". They all left after her outburst. Kaia turned to the girl while grabbing a cue stick and spreading some chalk on the tip. It was obvious she was going to play, and noone could tell her otherwise. "Do you wanna go first?"

Despite her words, none of the men were taking her seriously. That rather irked Violet a bit because she was serious. They had better get out of the way or join her, there were no other options. However the men suddenly scattered at a female’s booming voice. Haha it sounded like this girl sounded like business! How inspiring that was! Though also kind of annoying since those men didn’t listen to her. Next time she’d show them what happens when they don’t listen since she considered how she told them to follow orders was rather nice. Next time she wouldn’t be the nice girl.

β€œWell, thanks for your assistance.” Violet commented as she set up the pool balls without any more hassle. β€œSure, I don’t mind breaking.” she said easily as she took aim, scattering the balls a bit. β€œLooks like I’m solids and you’re stripes.” she added as she took one last shot and let the other gal have her proper turn. β€œBy the way, the name’s Violet. What’s yours?” Violet leaned against the pool table, arm wrapped around the cue stick. β€œAnd what are you doin’ in these parts? Looking for a bit of excitement?”

Kaburagi watched and listened as Violet spoke and made the balls scatter all over the table. When her turn was over, she stepped up to the table and took her shot. Two striped balls went straight into the pocket after being hit by two solids. She finally answered Violet's questions. "My name is Kaburagi Aoi and the real question is what am I ever not in these parts. I belong here. And yes, I was looking for a fight with a man. To you know, clear up some steriotypes about us women. That, and to get some more practice." Kaia waited for her opponent to finish her turn. Her arms were crossed over her chest, and her legs were crossed with the cue stick in between her feet. There was something about fighting a man that made her satisfied. She rarely ever fought another women, unless she was worthy of the fight.
Something about this girl Violet had caught her attention. It was almost as if she wasn't definite, or like what you see wasn't everything. Even so, Kaia just shrugged it off and walked up to the table ready to take her turn.

A chuckle escaped Violet at that answer. Always in the area and was looking for a bit of a fight? Well at least she wasn’t that bad. Violet didn’t mind a fight or two but she didn’t particularly go looking for it. She’d rather let it come to her instead, which it usually did somehow. β€œI see.” she commented. Boy was this gal good at pool! Though Violet knew she sucked at it, she just enjoyed playing it. The only thing she was really good at was V-Boarding (or hover boarding) and that wasn’t your everyday sport. β€œNice shot.” she said before moving to take her turn, narrowly missing the hole. β€œShoot. Ah well.” Violet shrugged her shoulders a bit. Couldn’t make them all she supposed not that she was aiming too, she just wanted to give Kaburagi a run for her money but she was failing at that right now.

β€œThe men here seem quite pigheaded. Then again I think most men are.” She gave the so-called arcade a look over. Mmhm, the men here were the kind no woman would want to really date unless they were purposely looking for trash or scum that came off the streets. There were probably a few diamonds in the rough here but Violet wasn’t going to spend her time looking for that. Love was a difficult thing when it came to her.

Kaburagi laughed playfully at Violet's failed attempt at shooting a ball in a pocket. She imediatly stepped up to the table and took a shot. Another ball went in, but not hers. She had purposley shot in one of Violet's balls to be nice. It was as if she hadn't done something nice in years. Which she hadn't "Oops.".
Violet's comment about the men in the arcade just made her smile and laugh.
"That's exactly how it is! And then they expect you to fall for their sorry behinds!" On purpose she said it very loud, to make sure they knew what she thought of them. Her laughter echoed throughout the whole arcade, making all the men turn toward her. Her had waved in a manner as if she was shooing them off, telling them to turn back to their games. Even though sh was so rude towards them, deep down inside she wanted to find someone who actually loved her for who she was. . . including her snappy attitude. But chances were that that would never happen. all she could do was keep on training and having fun with her friends. If she ever wanted to get her family back.

Now Violet was confident but the way Kaburagi laughed and spoke so loudly that everyone in the arcade could hear was kind of surprising. She was overly confident and was just asking for a fight, not that Violet wouldn’t mind one breaking out or anything. It would be quite interesting to watch and it would give quite a bit of entertainment. However if she joined in, she’d have to be careful so as not to send anyone to the hospital ER or something. β€œOh, thanks for the assistance.” Violet replied. She knew Kaburagi did it on purpose, it wasn’t difficult to see but she wouldn’t complain. It just meant less work for her even though she could cheat if she wanted to but where was the fun in that when no money or anything was involved?
This was just for pure fun.

β€œMen have only one thing on their minds after all.” Violet added. Men truly could be pigs and focus on one thing. Though there were also plenty of women out there that did the same thing. Violet knew all this from experience from having both sexes hit on her before and well, let’s just say it was more than a little awkward and infuriating.. β€œSo, do you go to Northstar Academy or just live in town?” Violet asked, trying to spark a bit of conversation. She wasn’t a good conversationalist but at least she could try.

Kaburagi nodded towards Violet when she thanked her. While listening to Violet, she looked over to a fight that was breaking out over a quarter on the ground, both men claiming it was theirs. Just plain stupidity in her opinion.
Kaia laughed at Violet's next comment.
"Yes, and its annoying. All they care about is money, sex, and drugs. When I still lived with my parents, the men that tried to court me were actually genuine. I miss them, suprisingly." Her father used to make her date the most elidgable men in Japan, so she could find a wealthy husband and gain more wealth. Not for her of course, but for his greedy self. All of them, however, were turned down on their offers by her. The man she actually loved was a peasant, and he was assassinated when he disrespected her father publically. That's part of why she left.
When Kaia heard Violet's voice she shook off her thoughts laughed and answered,
"You like small talk, huh? I do go to the academy, and it seems suckish so far. Way too many stuck up people and preps for me." Kaia motioned her cue stick towards the table, "Make your move, sister."

It was only human nature to care about bizarre things like that. The population and human race (or whatever species you were), needed to be carried on. And drugs could give a person quite a thrill but be so bad for your bodies. Violet never understood the appeal of slowly poisoning your body repeatedly. β€œAh, I see.” she nodded a bit. It wasn’t like she had taken the time to meet many people at all so she wasn’t sure what to make of people here. Though she’d probably find them annoying and not worth her time, because they’d more than likely mock her like everyone else.

β€œSorry for the idle banter. I’m just trying to be polite.” she said easily as she lined up a shot and made it this time, giving a little fist pump with her success. β€œAll right!” Sure she was, technically, behind in the scoring of this game of pool but she didn’t care. β€œWell school doesn’t last forever so no need to worry much about the people here.”

Kaburagi watched as Violet scored a point. A smirk came over her face as she took a shot and made two in. The que ball was heading straight to a pocket, but it made a turn and avoided it. "Dang! I could've made that ball right there if I had hit it harder." Kaia, now focused on the pool game, circled the table to get a better look. She finally answered to Violet, "Huh, it feels like forever though. And to me the people here are just entertainment. I'm probably just gonna flunk all my classes to get kicked out. Its not worth the work. Plus, I have to train more, I don't have time for some dumb report!" Her hand balled into a fist, and then she slammed it against the pool table. School was just a waste of time to her, and it was not going to teach her how to fight. She had to be the best fighter around, so she could get her mother and sibling back. Not her father, for she hated him with all her heart. He was a cold hearted monster who didn't care about anything but money and being a dictator. That's partially why she hated men so much.
Kaia tapped her long fingernails on the table as she waited for a reply. Her nails were painted a dark red that day, and they were neatly polished and they shined. That was probably the only thing that she did besides playing pool and fighting.

Cammie stepped into the arcade after giving the man in the front 15 dollars and a flirty smile. She walked in and sighed. The smoked-filled air seemed to ease Cammie's nerves. She felt better than ever after finally being out of her mother's control. She looked around. Spotting her prey, Cammie slowly walked up to a very tall man. "Got a smoke?" She purred, batting her eyelashes at him. He gave her a slimy smile and nodded pulling out a cigarette. Cammie snatched it out of his hand and disappeared into the crowd before he could talk to her. She lit up and sat down to watch two girls play pool."Will ya'll be up for another game?" she asked.

She’s really good. Violet thought as Kaburagi made another super successful shot that scored two balls this time. Boy was Violet out of her league with this girl, not that it was a big deal. It wasn’t like she had placed any money in on it. So that was quite a huge relief. As Kaburagi moved about the table, so did Violet in order to line up her next shot more easily. β€œAh, I see. Sounds like…quite a goal you have.” Violet muttered as she took a shot and missed, simply knocking a few of the pool balls around. β€œDamn.” she huffed and looked over as someone came to sit by the pool table.

β€œI’ll be up for another game, if you’re interesting.” she said easily. Pool, obviously, wasn’t her strong suite but Violet didn’t mind playing it. It was just for fun after all. Though she couldn’t quite approve of the cigarette that girl carried but it was her body, not Violet’s.
