Morning Musume's 45th single is now named~ !
MAJI DESU KA SKA ...well, minus the caps.
It comes out March 23rd.
I'm looking forward to it cause it'll show 9th gen but at the same time... I wanted a 5 nin MoMusu single >l

I'm excited! 8D If it has 'Ska' in the title, it'll probably be a different style than anything else we've gotten in a while. And I'm a huge J-ska fan, so... ;D Excited. Ninth gen! One of Takahashi's last! Hopefully this will sell well~

just my opinion.. I'm not really looking forward to it...
I think the nineth gen is a little too young...
I mean, Tsuji Kago were young too, but the age gap between Ai and the nineth gen, or even Aika and the nineth gen is pretty big...

But there's always been an age gap.
When Morning Musume was first created, Fukuda Asuka was 13. Iida Kaori and Abe Natsumi, the closest to her in age, were 16. When Goto Maki joined, she was 13 and Yaguchi Mari/Yasuda Kei were 16. Same for Koha and Tanaka/Shige.
Sure, three years isn't as big as six or four, but... I dunno. I think it's a little silly to worry about the future of MM based on age alone.
MM in the past were all close in age because they had new members every year. It's been four years since the last time members were added, so it's only natural that there'd be a four year gap between the youngest senpai and the oldest kouhai.
Personally, I don't feel that age reflects anything at all. Sure, they're probably not going to wow us with this single, but that could be said if they were all 18, too. The only issue could be shyness, and they'll probably stick together for a while, but Mizuki has had contact with MM before, and from what I've heard, Riho isn't shy, and Shige already likes her a lot. Age makes a difference, but when you're in a professional group together, small things like age stop mattering.
I mean, Morning Musume's graduation song (Sotsugyou Ryokou) says that "our heights and ages are different, but we're long-term friends".

Well Mizuki is 14~
Aika just turned 18 not that long ago so it's not really that big of a gap, it's about normal for a new MoMusu generation.

It's been bothering me that there are so many people praying that the ninth gen don't get any lines, because they "can't sing". D: That was just from the audition video! They were nervous! They hadn't had lessons! The song wasn't written for them! And more then anything, they were 100% live and unpolished. Gaki sounded like crap in her audition video, but now she's considered one of the best vocalists in H!P.
Personally, I hope they get plenty of lines, just so we get a taste of how they fit into the group~
This four year stretch with no new members has messed up the fandom. :< People used to like Morning Musume for their circulating members. Now it seems that there are newer fans who are used to a static group, and aren't responding well to a new generation. It makes me sad. I like this generation a lot!

I look forward to seeing how the others sound. =3 Obviously, the bubbly cute thing works well with new singers (they can make up for singing flaws by just being enthusiastic and energetic) but I wonder how the more experienced members do. Afterall, they've been doing ballads for three years.

After living off the PV, i have already become bored of the song. I was thinking "OOOOOOOOOOOOOH, ERIPON AND LINES :LSIKDJFOISDLKVMDSF" but it didnt last long. I want a H!P song that lasts but still a good single nevertheless
