Clothes & Outfits :: imagine a cloths a desert genie would wear, and that's pretty much the style. she lives in a hot desert land, so she shows a lot of skin [ the people from the desert land of Adom are much sturdier and the sun does not effect them much ], and mainly has a golden bra like top, and a cloth that is wrapped around her bottom and open at the sides to allow full leg movement. sometimes wears sleeves and pants from semi transparent material, as a fashion quirk. she takes them off most of the time though, as they hinder running and forging. she wears golden pointed shoes with soft soles.
Jewelry & Accessories :: lakuna loves gold and heavy golden jewelery, especially bracelets and leg bracelets. she might add or take off all kind of golden knick knacks at will, but usually she keeps one thick golden bracelet on each wrist and upper arm, and a matching bracelet on each ankle. she sometimes adds a golden headpiece on her forehead when she feels like acting fancy. a golden hoop on each ear. again, might change to something fancier when mood strikes.

Strengths :: super physical strength and speed. improved bodily hardiness. excellent balance and accuracy. great dodging, and fairly strong magical resistance.
Weaknesses :: lacks of common logic. easily distracted. has no real fighting skills or magic of her own and can't really use a weapons, hence is very vulnerable to weapon masters and specialized snipers, or heavy harm spell casters.
Skills & Special Abilities :: lakuna comes from a world where there is no such thing as magic or magic users. the unnatural factor in her world of new meta, is that all humans have special " materialization " which power and shape depends on a secret that will not be revealed until the end of the story. anyway, lakuna herself due to certain circumstances, has no materialization. what she does have though, is the power to sense peoples souls and by so tell stuff like their mood, location, physical state, and up to some levels, intentions and actions.
she has some other world bound feats that has to do with her having the " master key " to all peoples inner worlds, plus being a soul blacksmith that can take part of peoples essence and make a special [ you can say magical? ] weapon - armor - tool - item out of it. [ for a price, of course. ]
being that she spends most her time running from people and their materialization, she has broke the human speed limit of running [ though you can still catch her on the back of a good horse or in flight ] and being a soul blacksmith and having her muscles trained in the soul dimension, she can lift heavy weights of about 500 kilos with relative ease. she also has uncanny dodging ability and magical resistance. she won't be able to dodge the attacks of a specialized weapon master or sniper for long, but regular swords and missile attacks she can dodge easily and proceed running. as for magic, she can block easy spells all together, and has some resistance to medium spells though they do hurt her. the big guns she doesn't have much to do against unless she manages to smuggle her tail somehow out of the battlefield.
she also has a small problem of not being remembered after she is out of sight. as for attack. she has no special fighting skills and is no warrior. this is her main weakness really. she can try using one of her own made weapons in an amateurish way [ she is very precise with her hits being a blacksmith, but she has no fighting tempo ] or try to block with sheer force empty handed, but once she is faced with someone that can evade and is holding a well trained with weapon, these abilities come as pretty useless.
yet, since most her abilities are world bound, only her physical strengths pass through the worlds as they are. she can be remembered now [ does not know this at the beginning ], and her key was traded for the giant hammer she now has. the hammer has power to control and manipulate matter that is part of noctemia [ unlike stuff imported from other worlds by other world visitors ], as the hammer is made out of noctemia's essence itself. for starters lakuna figured only how to manipulate air particles to some degree.
instead of her original soul tracking, she can sense essences in noctemia. but it's still fuzzy and no where accurate as her soul tracking in her world. maybe it will improve as time goes, maybe not.
in he future she will come to understand the new version of inner world noctemia has replaced with her original one, and she will be able to partake in her job as a blacksmith again and make some neat new weapons for all her new little friends.
note about the " ought of sight system ".
once lakuna is out of sight in her original world, she is forgotten. so what needs to happen for you to forget about her?
she needs to either get too far in distance, that you can't see her anymore with the human eye [ even if it's dark and you can't see her a step away from you. if there were light you could, hence you won't forget ] or have something block your vision of her, like a building, a hill, a big materialization and so on. the exception being other humans. closing your eyes, or turning around won't count. presume you were a blind man. Lakuna was never " in " your line of sight to begin with, so she can't really be out of it. that's why it does not really matter if you can see her or not, but just if the physical boundaries of distance and matter are there or not. the only way to forget her and still be in her physical presence is to fall asleep or lose consciousness.

THE STORY OF THE CHARACTER
Lakuna comes from the world of New Meta in which The human being is constructed of 5 elements.
1. the most basic element, the
body. it's the physical side of the human being. the bones, blood and mass of cells and flesh. body. as simple as it comes.
2. the
soul. but a soul is not as we see it - the living spirit of a man. a soul is more like the spiritual footprint of an individual human. imagine a basin filled with a special infinite liquid. each human has a unic type of liquid in his basin, and that liquid is the essence of his being. so how does it show? every time you interact with other human, you sort of exchange drops of soul form your basin and poor it to the others. like you took something from the other person. but the foreign drops do not just mix with your liquid and change it's color, they become sort of little pebbles, or marbles at the bottom of the basin. by this exchange, as you meet more people, experience more things, you gain more marbles to you basin and make your liquid richer and dipper.
3.
will . the reason you choose to eat, work, talk to people, defend yourself and loved ones... stay alive. without will, a person will just slump on the spot he is at the moment, and stare blank eyed until something kills him, mostly starvation or an hungry animal. one without will will not lift a hand to save itself, since it sees no reason for doing so.
4. The
door. what separates us from other people. beyond this door, we keep the building stones of our self, mainly the soul basin.
5. the
key. each person has his own key that can open only his own door. you need the key to open yourself to reach your inner world [ which you need to do to attain new metas resident special power ], and let access to other peoples soul fragments [ aka the marbles ] reach your basin. your liquid can slip through the door cracks, but "solid" marbles need the key to pass through the doors. the key is an autonomic functioning kind of system, like breathing. you can force it to stop or act on will, but most of time it functions by itself [ like when opening the door to allow marbles to come in. you don't have much choice in it ] actually, most people can't control their key all their life and just leave it on auto pilot. which is good, since people with control over their key hold a lot of power. and not all of them choose to use it for good.
the resident power of new meta - the
materialization. each person has his own materialization which can take the form of an item [ the most common ] animal [ not as common but not that special ] and human [ very rare. ] to attain a materialization, a person needs to reach some sort of a harmony state with his inner self. what requires a little travel to your inner world. which is not that simple, since that requires passing through the doors. and getting to open them is quite a tricky thing to do. there are even prep schools all over new meta that help you reach the state in which you can pass by your inner doors. some people can be born with a materialization ready to pop out, and some can achieve it only at their thirties. it's all very individualistic. there is more to the materializations, like levels and special abilities, but that's another story.
any way, lakuna's story starts with a scene where you see Jeffery [ or more commonly called Joe ] MecGriffin in the middle of some sort of unknown ritual, surrounded by 5 flouting, seemingly unconscious human bodies. to make things short, something goes wrong, joe blinks out of existence, and the five bodies pass to another dimension for a second, but as if there was a hook attached to them, they are flung back to new meta, each to a different place in the continent. without any memory of what they are and where they are.
Lakuna is one of these 5 bodies. and unknown to her, she is not a real human, but a materialization of the blinked out Joe. what actually happened in that ritual, is that Joe tried to give something to these 5 floating bodies, but it seems he didn't completely succeeded in doing so. that cost him his current existence, but even though failed, he did mange to do something. he managed to make 5 materialization stay in existence while the hosting body has vanished. that means, he gave them the 5 elements that make a regular human. or that was what he tried to do. what actually happened, was that each of the five is now lacking a piece of the whole, while having a special empowered version of the over. in Lakuna's case, the empowered part is the " key ". her key does not just open her own door, but any door she wants to open. [ though once she passes through these doors, her blood is in her own hands ]. the part Lakuna lacks is the soul. she acts and thinks like any other person. until it comes to communication. Lakuna's basin is empty. she has no soul, so she has no liquid to fill it with. she can still collect the marbles and memories from other people, but since she has no liquid, she can't produce any marbles of her own. so no one can remember her. so to say, once out of sight, she is also out of heart.
after the first shock of being a fully grown human with only the knowledge of your name, Lakuna went into the nearest city [ the capital of Adom ] and soon found out she could not be remembered by people once she is out of sight. she had a stage of great depression, where she tried forcing people to remember her by leaving notes and repeating the same conversations with the same people over and over again in hopes that something would stick, but after some time she came to an understanding that non of that helps any.
and so, since she can't get a job and earn money, she steals for living, and resides at a cave deep in the desert. she is also chased a lot by her victims [ mostly food merchants ] but the chase is short lived once she turns behind the corner and they lose sight of her.
not long after lakuna found out about her ability to use her inner key to access her inner world, and once she discovered she could also [ at risk ] enter other peoples inner world, and at their approval take part of their soul [ she could try and steal it, but the risk would be tenfold ] she built a soul smithy in her inner world to craft special property objects from the soul drops she collects. the more she dealt with souls, the more her dormant ability to track souls out in the open developed. that's how Lakuna's soul business started. she'd track special souls of people in need and offer a trade. she'll take part of the soul, and use it's properties to make a weapon - armor whatever for the soul owner. once the item was used for the purpose it was made for, or once the owner is dead, the item returnes for Lakuna to own, along with the soul particle. that's the price that is to be paid.
lakuna can make any wish come true by making a suitable tool, given that the right price was payed. this power has a few limits though - she can't bring someone to life if he died before the wish was made, and she can't make someone really fall in love.
the story gets a bit more complicated as Luki, another of the 5 materializations who can somewhat remember her comes out to play, as he being the homicidal bloody b*****d that he is and Lakuna develop a chased and chaser relationship [ and it's never sure which one plays which part. ] but that, is another story. overall, Lakuna spends her days stuffing herself with food, adding to her ever growing beloved collections, looking for interesting souls and of course, working in her inner smithy.
