The year 2012 revealed an ugly truth. Billionaire Christopher Renaldi had a press conferance to reveal that he was, in fact, a vampire. Within a week others were coming out with proclamations of their own. For a year the supernatural realm and humans coexisted, and in some cases more than that. But that is not the reason Renaldi "came out". No, he had a plan in mind.

It is now the year 2130. Humans are virtually extinct and getting closer to complete extinction every day. But their legacy lives on in the form of Halfling: half human, half supernatural. The leaders of each of the supernatural species have ordered Halflings to be killed on sight, but still they live on. It's up to these forbidden creatures to overturn their twisted ancestors and restore the world to what it once was. But is redemption even possible?

The Characters

Personality: Christopher is the unofficial leader of the world and he knows it. He rules with an iron fist. Since the takeover of the world, he's become less obssessed with getting rid of humans and more concerned with making sure everyone in the world will obey him. He considers Halflings to be more a nuisance than a threat and doesn't pay them much mind. He focuses more on "debating" with the leaders of other species.
Appearance:
History: Christopher was born to Rudolfo and Theodora of Sicily in the year 1813. He was greedy from a very young age, demanding more and more out of his parents until finally running away from home. Unfortunately, he wasn't good a taking care of himself. While in a feverish haze, he stumbled upon a lone wanderer that told him he knew the way to ultimate fortune. Christopher, needless to say, agreed whole-heartedly. The wanderer agreed to heal Christopher with his blood and let him travel with him on one condition: Christopher had to be his personal source of..."refreshment". After half a year, the arrangement grew old for the boy. He attacked the vampire. Needless to say, the vampire fought back and ended Christopher's life...the mortal one anyway. After his rebirth, nothing changed. He still sought money over everything else and eventually gained his fortune in America. But after a while, money wasn't enough. He wanted more. It wasn't enough to be ruler of the financial district. He wanted to be ruler of the world. The world, minus humans.

Personality: Anna is a fierce young woman. She's always eager for a fight and usually gets one. She doesn't do well with groups or taking orders and tends to go out on her own. She's intelligent, though her temper often gets the better of her. Beneath the hard exterior is a girl covered in emotional scars.
Appearance:
History: Annabelle West was an HFH (human for harvest) in the Renaldi corporation, kept alive only for her blood. She was absolutely beautiful and caught the eye of Christopher Renaldi himself. When she found out she was pregnant, she immediately made plans for escape. She'd heard of a hidden colony of Halflings living in the country. By some miracle (a miracle Anna never got the explanation of) she managed to escape. Unfortunately, the rigors of being a playtoy for vampires, combined with a nearly-fatal escape attempt, and the problems of giving birth, she died moments after her daughter, Anna, had taken her first breaths. Anna grew up with the colony until she was 18, then took off on her own. She lived by using her survival instincts and feeding off of animals. By age 24 she'd decided to rebel against her father.

Personality: He is very shy and doesn't like to be around others. He doesn't talk very much around others as well, but he is very chivalrous and well mannered when he is around people.
Appearance:
History: He was raised by his mother who left their pack to protect him. His father is the leader of the their clan but when his father found out that Val's mother was part human he ordered her to leave with their son and not to come back. Since that time Val and his mother have avoided their clan and all other werewolf clans. His mother never told him that he was part human or that she was either, she also hid his families identity. When Val turned 15 his mother died of an illness, and he was left to be on his own. He decided to try and head back to his tribe but he never found out exactly who his tribe was or his father. So now he is set on finding his family not knowing that he is part human.

History:Seth's dad took off when he was just a little kid.His mom took care of him and always protected him and loved him.One night some vampires broke into his home and killed his mother he escaped barely alive.On that same night he fell unconscious but someone helped him.Ever since then he has been living on the streets and traveling around to find the person that helped him the night he almost died.

Personality: She's very shy. Afraid of other creatures. She hides in the grass along with every one's trash.
Appearance:
History: She was born as an only child. She lived in Oregon, but after settlers started coming to the US they had to leave. She can't stay anywhere to long because creatures always litter and wreck her home. Her goal in life is to make things thrive again, and make the world clean.
Requests: The only healthy earth fairy.

A few quick suggestions before we start. These aren't rules, but it would just make everyone's life easier if you followed them.

• At the top of your post, put your location, even if it's in the same place as someone else. That way we know who's where, doing what.
  
• Also at the top, or wherever you wish, put the name of your character in bold, or a bright color (just so it's easy to see)
  
• If your characters are in different places, post seperately for each of them. This is mostly for later on, when things really get going.
  
• Pictures of your character are a nice touch. If the picture is too big, you can go to www.tinypic.com and get it resized.

Well that was relatively painless, wasn't it? Now time to get the show on the road!!

The Beginning

Slums


Val heard a noise in the place he was squating and went downstairs. He was very cautious as he crept downstairs. That's when he found a girl sleeping. This early it was weird that someone would come in at this time to sleep. Val pondered what she was since this neighborhood was filled with werewolves amongst otherthings so his smell was masked easily but not hers. He walked up to her to see if she was okay. "Um..." He stepped back not wanting to wake her up and he looked towards the door. He wasn't sure if he should leave and let her stay here instead.

The Slums
Seth was running through the streets as fast as he could trying to get away from this middle aged man."Come back here you damn kid!"The man yelled to Seth.Seth looked back and smirked there was no way that man could catch him.The only reason the man was running after Seth was because Seth had just stolen some food from the man's food stand.Life was hard for a human if a human wanted to survive they would do whatever it took to survive.There was few humans left in that world so a human had to be on their toes day and night.Seth ran around the corner of a building without the man seeing.He poked his head out and watched as the man ran by still thinking he was chasing after him.Seth let out a sigh of relief and started to eat the food that he had just stolen."Man...I wonder how much longer I'm going to live in this world?How much more can I go through?"

House in the slums (Wolvhaven district) Since I thought of making a specific place to be.

"Oh, you're awake." He said with a sigh. He stepped back and pulled his hood over his head. "I will leave so you can stay here. I won't bother you." He said turning to leave. This wasn't anyone's home but if she wanted to stay here he wouldn't impose on making her leave. He would leave the food in the fridge and everything for her as well seeing as she might need them more than he did.

Seth felt something tug onto the sleeve of his jacket.He turned his head to see a little fairy trying to get his attention."Ahhhh!"He screamed from the sudden appearance from the little creature.He stumbled to the ground and looked up at the fairy."Who are you?"He asked in a sort of calm voice.

"My name is Arra. I saw you running from that guy, where are you going?" Arra said with a sweet smile, climbing up his jacket and sitting on his shoulder.
