Okay so.
I bought a nintendo wifi usb thing so I could try the online world when I was playing Animal Crossing. I forgot completely about it though - I'm not even sure how many years it's been before I found the thing in my drawer today. So I thought, hey, why not actually do that nice wifi event whatnot for my HeartGold? Sadly, things don't go smoothly.
Basically I need to know if I should go and get a new one because maybe this one is outdated. Or that my pc is just flipping around for no reason. Or if there's ANY solution.
I've got: -Windows 7 (I read on a website that it might not even work on 7. WHAT?) -Dell Laptop -Nintendo WiFi USB Connector from around 2001-2005 that's powered by Buffalo
The problem: The driver won't install. It will say that it's not compatible and then when I do get it beyond that point, after I plug in the little white usb device it will again ask for it and then say error. :S
If I actually have to get an older windows system just to get a shiny Raikou I'm going to be sad. ;.;
EDIT: I did a bit more research and it looks like it may be my wireless. It has security on it because our neighbours were constantly leeching. And because I want to actually be able to open an internet page in less than 10 minutes I'm probably not going to be able to get on Wi-Fi. :S

I'mma have to get mine out at some point, I have the same one as you. I've lost the driver disk though, maybe I can find it online..
If I get the same problem I may be able to help you. I know my DS isn't compatible with my router.

The router is a problem sadly. Dx I really need to see if we have any hotspots. My country is really boring when it comes to things like this.

Never forget, you also need a WEP Security input on your Router. It's not always the Router's fault, it's the fact that WEP is stupid.

It says on the site it may not be compatible with Windows 7. Try turning off your firewall, that fixed all problems I was having with mine.
