Best Film: The King's Speech
Other nominees: Black Swan, Inception, The Social Network, True Grit

Director: David Fincher (The Social Network)
Other nominees: Danny Boyle (127 Hours), Christopher Nolan (Inception), Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan), Tom Hooper (The King's Speech)

Leading Actor: Colin Firth (The King's Speech)
Other nominees: Javier Bardem (Biutiful), Jeff Bridges (True Grit), Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network), James Franco (127 Hours)

Leading Actress: Natalie Portman (Black Swan)
Other nominees: Annette Bening (The Kids are All Right), Julianne Moore (The Kids are All Right), Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit)

Rest of the results here: BAFTA site To little surprise The King's Speech won about 6 or 7 awards last night.

Out of 10 Best Film/Picture awards given in the past decade the BAFTA and the Academy have agreed on five occasions. So that's a 50-50 chance for The King's Speech winning Best Picture I suppose.

Have to say I'm extremely pleased with Four Lions/Chris Morris winning outstanding debut! smile

Why does David Fincher keep winning awards? I thought that The Social Network was the weakest movie that's been nominated for stuff.

I haven't seen The King's Speech yet, but it looks promising. I might see it today actually.
