Personality: Shorin is a typically quiet individual who avoids starting any sort of conversation when he can help it. This is due him being a rather shy individual. While he does like the company of others, that’s only if he trusts them and opens up. Otherwise Shorin is a very quiet person, perfectly content with not talking to others for long periods of time. As per his personal nindo, Shorin has a strong sense of personal justice which typically requires a large amount of courage. Overall Shorin is a fairly mature male who may look shy on the surface but proves to be quite lively once you get past the outer shell.

Originally from Sunagakure, Shorin was a rather lively child. Living in Sunagakure and being part of a family of shinobi, naturally he was expected to continue the legacy. Unfortunately to his parents’ dismay, Shorin had no such goals for himself. He much preferred living life and going with the flow, much like the wind or water. However things never stay peachy for very long, and Shorin was about to be caught in the flow of fate.
Using his strange abilities which he knew he had, yet never really understood Shorin had planned the prank of his life. He was to enter the village’s water reservoirs and turn all the water valves on full blast at the shinobi academy. It was the opening day so Shorin’s family was all there expecting to see him. Luckily for Shorin the guards around the reservoirs was unusually low because of the opening day. As Shorin entered the reservoir to turn off the proper valves inside, the door swung shut and threw the young lad into the depths of the water. Not only water, but pitch black darkness as he was trapped inside the reservoir.
Thrashing to stay alive and crying out Shorin was sure he was going to die. Something strange suddenly happened as a spark of electricity erupted from within the reservoir puncturing a hole large enough to allow Shorin and a large amount of the village’s water into the desert zone. Naturally such a thing would not go unpunished in the village, but Shorin was too young for any sort of punishment to befall him. His parents had to suffer for his mistake. The young lad could only watch helplessly as his parents were thrown into the village prison until Shorin was old enough to take responsibility for his rather devastating mistake.
As the years went by, Shorin continued to avoid the shinobi academy blaming them for their lack of skill in preventing a child from entering the reservoir. At the age of sixteen, Shorin was considered old enough to accept his punishment. His parents were released, but Shorin was thrown into exile. Wandering the land Shorin learned a vast amount of survival skills before stumbling upon Sawagakure. Wanting to prove that it was the shinobi of Sunagakure’s lack of skill that caused all the misfortune in his life Shorin purposed that he would become the best he could possibly be. Shorin quickly engrossed himself in the academy and trained his mind, his body and his blood for one purpose. To be strong.
