User ImageWhen can you get your custom? After you read these rules, of course! These rules are to be followed by regulars and newcomers alike. There are no exceptions for these rules, they are here for a reason.

User Image Listen to what the colorist of your custom has to say! It may be a question or concern about your custom that's needed to be heard to save both the colorist's time and yours.
Pestering a colorist about a pending custom is unacceptable. While some colorists are more tolerant than others, it is still very stressful when people are constantly harassing them. On top of Gaia tasks, they have real-life situations that always come before the internet. So please, be patient.
Do not bug colorists about opening slots! They will open them on their own time, not yours.
Most slots are first-come, first-serve. This usually works like a flatsale, where a "GO!" post will be made and requests follow. On occasion, however, a colorist might make getting a slot into a game.
Haggling about custom prices is unacceptable unless stated otherwise by a colorist or manager! Some colorist charge a certain amount for edits while some may not charge at all. Whatever the case may be, you must accept their decision -- you can chose not to get the custom done if it's out of your price range.
You must send your custom trade after you have been confirmed your slot. Keep in mind that not all of the colorists will accept them right away, however.
Do not edit your custom form without notifying the colorist first! We understand that people may forget something or think up of something new for their custom, but you can't just go and edit it into the form until your colorist knows and accepts. Mark the changes in red and contact the colorist.
Post all forms within the colorists' den.
If you are unhappy with the results of your custom, let the colorist know! Please do not be afraid to speak up if a colorist did something wrong or you would like something changed. You paid good money for that custom and we want you to be completely satisfied! However, be polite about it!
Keep in mind that every colorist has their own set of rules within their custom cave, so be sure to read them before ordering!

User ImageIs there a limit as to how many times I can get a custom per month?
No, however, there is a limit as to how many custom slots you can claim per the times they are open. So if all of the colorists (or more than one) chose to open slots at the same time, you may only chose one colorist and claim one slot.

Do you accept payment plans?
Depending on the situation, yes, we do. However, some of the colorists may chose not to, which you can find out in their personal custom cave.

Can I pay with items?
Yes, but again, this also depends on the colorist. Some will accept items while others will not.

Do you accept real life money as payments for customs?
No! Woof! does not take RL commissions for the sake of being fair to our lineartist and our other customers. Not everyone has the means to obtain customs easily through RL commissions and we don't want to risk being unfair by opening too many of those slots rather than regular gold slots. So please do not ask.

Are there refunds?
Yes and no. If you colorist isn't able to finish your custom and you do not want to switch to a different colorist, yes, you may be refunded because its only fair. However, if you want a refund because you don't like the outcome of your custom, then no. Politely contact the colorist, ask them nicely about the changes and things you would like fixed, and they should be more than happy to do so. If you still don't like the outcome after all possible changes have been made, we will hand your custom over to another colorist of your choosing for the originally set price.

How long does it take for a colorist to finish my custom?
Depending on the time they have on the computer, some customs will be done within hours while other might take weeks. If you feel that's it has been way too long since you first ordered your custom, ask them about it in their thread or PM a manager.

Can I use official Woof! lineart to make references for my custom?
As of now, no you may not. We encourage references though, so if you can whip up a sketch similar, than that's perfectly fine.

Is co-owning a custom allowed?
Of course! As long as role playing rights and payment is worked out and agreed on, than co-owning a custom is allowed.

Oh no! I forgot to add something to my form! Can I edit it?
You may edit your form, but you MUST notify the colorist about it and make sure they have acknowledged the changes. Do not just edit your post, mark things in red, and think everything is fine and dandy. Some colorists may not look back to the custom form, so make sure they know.

Are we allowed to role play a custom that is currently in the works?
No! Please be patient! Roleplaying a custom before it's even complete is not only rude, but confusing to those who you're roleplaying with because they have no idea what it looks like.

User ImageWould my made-up role playing character be considered a cosplay?
Of course not! Any character you develop from your own mind is not to be considered a cosplay.

Can I get a cosplay even if it's being colored for an upcoming event?
If there has been talk about an event in the works, than the answer is most likely no. Certain characters are needed for certain events, so if the cosplay has already been made, then he/she will be used for that event.

Can I get a custom dog colored kinda like a cosplay and role play it as a cosplay?
No, you may not role play any dogs like a cosplay (unless it is one), it's against the rules.

What about male/female cosplays? For example, there's a male Naruto dog, but not a female. Does this mean I can get a female one?
This is entirely up the owner of that male cosplay. They have the final say in whether or not you can get a female version of their character. Some people are very picky and clingy to their cosplays, so please respect that. If they so no, it means no! Don't even bother going to a colorist or manager because our answer will be the same as theirs.

The owner said I could get a female Naruto! Will she look any different from the male version?
Yes, if an owner grants you permission to get the opposite gender of their cosplay, he/she must look different. This means possibly another outfit from the character, different hair style, etc. Colors and personality can stay the same, but other various things must look different to give both owners an individual pet.

I was questing for a cosplay, it was in my signature and everything, but someone got him/her before me!! What the hell!?
I understand why you are upset, but unfortunately, questing for a cosplay, especially if it's popular, doesn't mean you reserve that character. Maybe you can work things out with the new owner and let him/her know how you feel? Be sure not to bring any drama into the main thread, however!
