In the Sanctuary the animals have a number of Gods and Goddesses they worship. Many don't believe they're real, however they may occasionally appear and cause major change in ones life. Gods are tricky like that.
General Info about Gods:
They won't interfere in your roleplays unless asked. (Ask the user who owns the God.)
They're there as figureheads and entiites to look up to. Most groups worship different dieties.
For example, Hunters will most likely worship Furus, the Goddess of the Hunt.
It's not uncommon for Alphas to be referred to as Helios's Son, as often times the Alpha is seen almost as a direct descendant of the gods.

Name: Helios
God of: The Sun. Father of all Carnivorous Creation.
Associations: Daylight, Light Elements, and default God of all things.
Mate: The Moon Goddess: Nyx
Personality: He is the definition of Alpha. He is strong, clever, brave and without hesitation. Yet even Gods have flaws. He can tend to underestimate his opponents, due to his arrogance at being top dog. He has a quick and cruel temper. He seems only to show tenderness to his mate, and all others are to fear his wrath.
History: His rival Gods, the ones who came before, tried to kill him when he was born, but he was saved, by his own wits. Life was hard on him as a young one and it made him tough and cruel. He became a tool of war and dedicated his life to driving out the ones who came before to take up their rule for himself. And so it was that he brought all of his fellow Gods with him on that venture, and they final returned to the land, and greeted their creations with the attention they deserved. Beyond their return, not much is known. Each group has it's own legends.

Name: Nyx
Goddess of: The Moon. Mother of all Carnivorous Creation.
Associations: Night, nocturnal behavior, Darkness, shadows, puppies, and general female default goddess.
Mate: The Sun God
Personality: She is gentle and sweet and very caring over all animals and creatures which she dubs her children. Sometimes her caring and love blinds her to the truths of others but once angered she will unleash the full fury of her love and protection around those who stand against the truth.
History: Born at the stroke of midnight - the point where the moon is the highest and the boundary between each day and the next is drawn, she glowed with intensity of the lunar light. Most of the gods had been awe-inspired by her beautiful pelt and many sought to be her suitor. After she met the Sun God she and him ruled the night and day with the strength of their love and power.

Goddess of: Fertility and Love
Associations: Breeding, relationships, a personal favorite of peaceful pets.
Mate: Many... none have been a permanent match
Personality: Beautiful and nimble she stalks about the lands flaunting her beauty and admiring the wonders of the land. She is proud and a bit narcissistic but she still will lend a helping paw when needed. She's will aid those who have had little luck with breeding, or those who seek relationship advice. She will occasionally pick favorites, who will be very successful in the ways of love.
History: She was very promiscuous in her youth. She would always pick a mortal creatures who rivaled her own beauty and take them as her lover. However, they always grew old and lost their beauty. She would simply move on to the next creature that caught her eye. Live worked like this for a long time. As she's aged herself (in years only) she has done less lover-taking and more advising of the creatures she aids. She spends much of her time with children, finding them to be just so fun and innocent. She longs to someday have her own children, but has yet to find a proper suitor for her purposes. However, she will still take one-night loves whenever she feels lonesome or sad about her own failings in love.

God of: Revenge and War
Mate: with just about anything.
Associations: Warriors, Wild Animals, Crux, Blood, Revenge, Destruction
Personality:Aggressive and strong, he will knock the competition away with a flick of his huge paw. He approves of the fierceness and drive in the other animals as they fight for a mate or for their place in the forest.
He is a favorite God of the Zarkails and most loners, who prefer to live their lives on the wild side of their instincts.
History: As a youth he was strong, the iron club of all the gods. It was a no-brainer to make him the god of war but a few disagreed, for his ambition made him arrogant, Unwilling to see when war wasn't needed. He fought for the position and eventually the others could see that he was the right god for the job. He has many bad habits. As a God of revenge, he tend to indulge in many acts which the other Gods find to be unsettling, or crude. He will often take miscellaneous mates when he feels the desire, and has tried for the Goddess of Loves paw on numerous occasions, but has found no luck.

Goddess of:Cleverness
Association: Sages, Advisors, all things Knowledge, a favorite of the Duthsy pack, who admire her for her non-violent problem solving solutions.
Mate: Not interested
Personality: Clever and wise she offers wisdom to those who need it and is always there. She is the adviser to the Sun God as he needs some advice with certain issues that could be the decision to war or peace. Ever there to guide those who are lost she is the muse to those you must overcome an obstacle in their lives.
History: She was born a normal fox, with extraordinary talent in stealth and wit. Her parents where killed while looking for food and she was left, alone and defenseless, with no knowledge of the world. Near starvation, the child stumbled upon the Mother Moon who was laying peacefully in a open field and gazing up at the sky. The little orphan fox trotted towards her and lay at her side, trembling from hunger. The mother took kindly upon this little creature and took her in as her own. She has always lived among the Gods, though she herself was mortal.
While escorting the Mother to visit the Goddess of the Hunt, a family of Lions set upon them with no knowledge of who they where chasing, simply seeing two perfectly edible animals. With her cleverness the fox was able to hide the Mother and beat the entire family of lions, with not a scratch on herself. It was truly a marvel. It was then the mother decided she would make this fox, her adopted daughter, an immortal. After talking with the Sun God they bestowed her with the power of immortality, and named her the Goddess of Cleverness.

Name: Artemis
Goddess of: The Hunt
Associations: Hunting, prey, wild animals, druids, simplicity, most wolves will find themselves in a situation hunting at one point or another, she is a very powerful and universal Goddess.
Mate: Took a vow never to mate.
Personality: She is cold and calculating. Often she gets enraged by predators, as she is the sworn protector of the prey. She upholds the laws of the forest, and enforces them strictly. One should never kill what they don't intend to eat. This is her driving force. However, on the other side. She can be very gentle with those who uphold her laws and respect her. She has been known to take on 'champions' who she gives special power and often will rely upon to help her in her work. A patron for all Carnivores.
History: One of the oldest God's among the ranks. In her youth she foolishly killed for the sport, and found that she had accidental killed off some species. Seeing the error of her ways, she vowed to uphold the laws of the forest and to punish others who followed in her footsteps long ago. As she grew older she slowly began to mistrust other creatures, always suspicious of them, constantly on edge. She eventually vowed never to mate, due to being extremely mistrusting of other creatures. However, she seems to get along with the Gods of Travel and Protection, finding the God of Protection to be an upright fellow and one who shares her goals, though they can sometimes be on opposite ends of a battle for protection. The God of Mischief often visits her to pester and play jokes on her, which she often gets flustered and enraged about, but yet finds the attention slightly flattering.

God of: Protection
Associations: Protectors, Adventurers, Healers, a favorite of the Torz pack for his upright nature, and good will towards others.
Mate: Longs for the Goddess of Love. But hasn't found the courage to make his feelings known.
Personality: Vigilant and true to his word, he swore long ago to the Sun God that he would protect the animals and gods with his life. He is ever watchful and silent but he has a great sense of humor.
History: His brother who once stood in this place, died to save him in a battle between the other gods. To honor his brother's life he took this position and stands now to be ever watchful and always fair. Over the years he had been challenged for his spot among the other gods but he has remained true to his word and that strength has kept his place. He spends much of his time wandering the valley, surveying the land and enjoying the beauty it holds. He's gotten into many interesting adventures this way. He is a close friend to the God of Travel, as they will often travel together, and love to swap jokes. However his real interest is in the Goddess of Love. He's completely infatuated with her and will often go to great lengths to ensure her safety from her less savory suitors. The God of revenge and the God of protection are rivals, they have engaged in many battles against each other, though neither ever sees fit to end the others life, knowing the Sun God would have the winners hide if they dared to cause such unrest.

God of: Travel and Mischief
Associations: Rogues, Bandits, Con Artists, Adventurers, a favorite of mischievous young ones, and Patron to the Rogues. Any pet traveling a great distance might also ask him for safe travel.
Mate: None?
Personality: Mischievous and sly he pads throughout the lands playing jokes on the other gods and getting in constant trouble. He adores young animals who disobey their parents because it shows that they are independent and different from their other siblings and friends.
History: A trouble-maker from the start he always would ignore the others as they warned him against his mischief. He used to run away a lot in his youth because he loved to see new things and meet new people. Now he just bugs the gods - especially the god of war because when he gets angry everyone knows. He is good-natured and can be serious when ordered to (sometimes). In an attempt to keep him occupied the Sun God gave him the added task of being the God of Travel. This gave the young God a purpose and would allow them to send him off with a message whenever he became obnoxious.
