Countess LuAnn de Lesseps is not actually a countess, but she has parlayed her ex-marriage to a French aristocrat into “Real Housewives of NYC” fame and now a part on “Law & Order: SVU”. A semi-nude part.
The Connecticut-born actress, whose name is spelled various ways, is excited. “I can’t even believe,” reports OK magazine, that “I’m standing in front of Mariska Hargitay and Chris Melonj and reading lines!” And wearing clothes? “It’s a far cry from “Housewives, isn’t it?”
Story lines are secret, but it seems that the role de Lesseps plays wears fabulous clothes, when she wears them. According to US, the former model stars as “an eccentric art patron who poses semi-nude for an artist. Un-huh. She further says, as E!Online tells it, “I play a flamboyant art collector who is gung-ho on posing seminude for an artist that’s putting together a show,” Countess LuAnn de Lessips—who uses the title as a nickname—say, “She (the character) has a thing for the artist.” Just guessing, but guest roles of that type, on “Law & Order” shows generally end up dead. The luckier ones find themselves sitting around a jail table, discussing options with the D.A.
The Countess is the first “Housewife” of her Bravo series to land an acting gig, US continues. Her recent singing deal flopped, but this role may turn her luck around. Good luck, Countess LuAnn de Lesseps. May your character survive.
