how did u like angel??? i personally liked it...but it wasnt the best patterson has ever made. and i am a fang fan myself...but he is falling for maya...and max is falling for dylan. fang and max wont get back together as u can see in the final book...ANGEL was somewhat depressing actually. dr hans somehow escaped from the plane i think he was enhanced with something that somehow he survived the crash...b/c when max and dylan went to look, they didnt even find some blood or an arm or something...i think that angel knew something bad would happen...and thats why her last words to max was that...in the epilogue, the voices angel hears, is the voice. look back to book one...when max hears the voice for the first time she describes it as her not being able to identify it as male or female...that is how angel describes the voices she hears. AND PERSONALLY IF I WERE TO MAKE THE BOOK BETTER, I WOULD HAVE MADE MAX GET HYPNOTIZED BY THE DG AT ELLAS SCHOOL, BE ALL LIKE KILL THE HUMANS ON TV, FANG SEES IT AND FREAKS OUT...OR WHEN THEY R A JOINED FORCE, MAX RUNS AWAY TO THAT TOWER, AND INSTEAD OF DYLAN THAT MEETS HER THERE, A DG MEMBER. THEN I WOULD HAVE ASKED THESE QUESTIONS: WHO WOULD HELP KNOCK HER OUT OF HER TRANCE? DYLAN OR FANG? WOULD FANG EVEN GIVE A CRAP? WOULD THE FLOCK BE ABLE TO? BECAUSE WHEN IGGY AND ELLA WERE HYPNOTIZED, IT TOOK ANGEL, DYLAN, AND MAX TO HOLD IGGY DOWN...AND ELLA (WASNT ENHANCED WITH ANYTHING, ONLY 12, 100% HUMAN) IT TOOK MAX, ANGEL, DYLAN, AND IGGY TO HOLD HER DOWN...MAX IS THE TOUGHEST AND STRONGEST IN THE FLOCK...SO SHE WOULD PROBABLY ESCAPE, WHICH WOULD HAVE MADE THE BOOK MUCH MORE INTERESTING...WHEN THE MAIN CHARACTER IS IN A MAJOR PROBLEM ITS INTERESTING...LEAVE UR OPINIONS PLEASE

I agree that the book could have been written better. I'm striving to be an author (working on getting a few of my ideas finished and published, hopefully) and he IS (in my eyes) one of the masters of writing in the world today. But he spent too much time with Max's love life in ANGEL. I usually have no problem with that, but this time around I wanted to see more action. I mean, when I saw that they were going to team up, I thought about action first and romance second. Put what REALLY meade me PO'd was when Max began falling for Dylan. I don't usually side with characters, but I have to admit that James Patterson made a big mistake there. Fang has been there for Max her WHOLE LIFE. Dylan has been there for about five months. Big difference there (Jeez, I must be sounding like a book critic right now). I have a feeling that James Patterson will find a way to make it work. Hopefully. As for ANGEL, overall, I give it 3 stars.

As for ANGEL, overall, I give it 3 stars. i agree completely, he did focus a bit much on max's love life, but i think that he was making a point...that max and fang probably wont get back together. if u think about it, max was falling for dylan because when dylan kissed max on top of that tower in paris, max kissed him back, but when fang first kissed her, max ran away. as i said, fang is falling for maya. in the epilogue, the voice angel hears, that says she is among admirers, it is the voice. angel describes it as her not being able to identify its gender...if u look back at book one, thats how max describes it when she first hears it. i think thats how the book will end: max finding the person behind the voice, they get in a battle, and max is defeated. why? because the voice sees what max sees, it hears what she hears, and thinks. it knows all her strengths and weaknesses. and it knew that losing angel was a weakness for max. it will know when max is getting close to finding angel, and it will know what max is thinking when they battle...or it will make angel battle max.

I'm not gonna sugarcoat this: when I undid myself from the awkward position I was in while I was reading (somehow when I'm reading a book while sitting on the chair I always rip myself out of the book and find myself sitting upside down or some other awkward way...once I was almost in a pretzel ^^'') I called my friend up and told him that when he got his grad money we were investing in plane tickets to whereever JP lived and punching him in the gut. I've calmed down a good bit now, but I daresay I'm quite disappointed. Whether he wanted to or not, it's obvious that JP rushed his writing. He took the most referred to concept when it came to his books and focused everything on that single concept. He's got me sounding like a book critic >.> (I prefer writing them over rating them)
Not to mention he pretty much wrote the summary of the 9th book in the ending of the 8th >.>

Well, personally, i think it was rly good. not as good as FANG was but i still liked it. I dont think he rushed his writing cuz it did take a long time for the next book to come out an it did have alot going on and alot of things were told. So i think its a good book and comes in second on my list of favorite maximum ride books. (with FANG coming in first of course)

So i think its a good book and comes in second on my list of favorite maximum ride books. (with FANG coming in first of course) By all means, in what seemed to be timewise it didn't appear in any ways rushed at all. Quality though....it just didn't feel like James Patterson quality. In writing you have deadlines. The writer doesn't choose when the book comes out; the publisher does. The publisher creates deadlines between the start and publishing date in order to stay with the overall deadline. Some areas were pretty good, but others you could tell where he was in a pinch for time so he didn't take the time to make the quality work we're used to. Whether it's writers block or a simple lack of interest in continueing the book, it wasn't up to par (publishers are the dictators of the writing universe. They can cut out anything in your story, change the title, choose the cover image, control all decisions made about the book, and usually get the vast majority of all profits from the book. That's the one thing I'm afraid of when it comes to publishing my book, because I don't like being controlled too much >.>)
