Walking in, her arm still locked with Kio's, she took in a deep breath.Smelling all the delicious food she smiled."Now I'm really glad you invited me."she said softly with a small giggle."Two?"a man asked holding a couple of menus.He obviously had a hard time using proper English.Juliette nodded,knowing that if she tried she'd probably just say 'Oui' which would be confusing in itself.

Kio followed the waiter and smiled at Juliette when they got to their table. He held out her chair for her, being the gentleman his mother raised.

A smile played at her lips.Seeing him pull out her chair like a proper gentleman made her blush slightly but she couldn't seem to shake this weird feeling.Her parents were always trying to find polite men as suitors for their daughter, which really irritated her."Oh thank you."she said as her grin spread."Are you sure my parents didn't set you up on this?"she joked lightly.

He tilted his head and scrunched his eyebrows in a confused expression. "Why would your parents set me up to this?" he asked as he sat down himself. "I'm just being the boy v-ge-tsi raised me to be."

Juliette shook her head at her little joke and his confused little face."You wouldn't understand...my parents, well the didn't let out of the house too often and I never was too social so they always...the always to set me up a suitor, almost like they were afraid I'd be alone."she laughed, her smile broadening."Well 'V-ge-tsi did an awfully job."she complimented with a grin as she opened her menu and began scanning the different foods.

He nodded and smiled. "Yes she was the best e-`tsi, or mother, I could have ever wished for." He had loved v-ge-tsi, or his mother. The waiter came up and presented the with their menus.

Juliette smiled, thinking about her own mother.Sometimes she wished she could have her space but she was still a wonderful woman to call mom.Looking more she leaned her chin on her arm."Hmm...I think I'll have Caldo de Res, what about you?"she asked curiously.

"I think I'll take the chicken quesadillas," he responded. Kio had a mission to find the quesadilla that tasted even better than his mom's recipe.

The waiter took their orders and menus up real quick before heading off to the kitchen."Sounds delicious,though I wouldn't really know, in France food is much different."she said with a slight smirk."Though I must say I cannot stand Es Cargo."she mumbled, thinking about how her mother used to take them out to eat and that would be what her mother would order, bleh.

He laughed. "My father thought the way e-du-di, or Grandfather, ate buffalo tongues was just nasty....though they don't taste all that bad, if your very hungry."

Juliette couldn't help but let a giggle escape her lips."Buffalo tongues?"she asked with a head shake."I'm not really one for...weird body parts of animals...or weird animals...like snails."she replied smiling."Sometime I'll have to give you a taste of French cooking."she added with a grin.

He smiled back at her. "He made me try it once. It's part of my heritage and e-du-di has been preparing v-ge-tsi and I to take over as Shaman's once he is gone."

Juliette tilted her head intrigued by the conversation."Shaman huh? Interesting."she said with a grin just as their food arrived at the table.The scent was magnificent and she imagined the taste being even better.
