Prologue The ancients of this land have devised a way to once and for all defeat the Demon Lord. Now the year is 2674 and the Demon Lord is still influencing the world from his dark lair. No one knew what was to become of the world. corruption has began to take over as the two empires that control the world prepare to make war. life will never be the same again. Archmage Seyah looked into his telescope. He backed away quickly once he gained sight of the moons alignment. "This is it, this is what I've been waiting for," Seyah said as he ran over to his notes. "The moon's alignment occurs every 1337 years, the spell created by the ancients can only be used in this very moment." He read out loud. "Nyumah Kewhom Nosoran De Ata Comun Libradad Nyumu." He recited the words right off the page. The room around him began to glow in a blue as bright as the sea. Runes floated off the page and swirled around the Archmage. "I Bring Together The Powers Of Light And Dark, Life And Death . . . The Power Of EXISTENCE!" Just as he said this, the glow of the room turned into a violent red. "Wait, something's wrong." Then the room went black. The only thing Seyah could see was the three moons glowing. He walked over to his telescope and looked through it again. The moons were going dim. "The moons are dimming? This cannot be good!" He stepped back and pulled out a small satchel, opened it up, and took a pinch of golden dust out. "Winds Of Fate, Guide Me Now!" He threw the pinch of dust down and it engulfed him. When he reappeared, he was in the middle of a meadow. The meadow was suppose to be lit bright from the sun. Instead it looked like night time. Seyah looked up into the sky where the sun should have been. There was nothing. All that was hovering over the planet was a giant black sphere. "This is not good indeed." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Your majesty, I'm telling the truth, the spell from the ancients was meant to destroy all existence," Seyah was knelling down in front of the king. King Leonas stood up from his throne. "You expect me to believe you, why would the ancients create such a spell and claim it's the only way to defeat the Demon Lord?" Seyah thought on this. His next words could mean his life or death. "Perhaps that is the only way in which to destroy the Demon Lord, no life means nothing for the Demon Lord to sustain his existence, then he'd be destroyed." Leonas looked at him, eyes wide with anger. "Though it pains me dearly to see my most valuable asset perish, but you Archmage have made the worse mistake ever, there is no repair for what you have done. Guards!" The guards began to walk over to Seyah. "Wait your highness, maybe if I look closer to the ruins I might be able to fix this, maybe I looked over something." Leonas held his hands up to the guards to halt their approach. "Alright Archmage Seyah, you have one week, if this is not reversed by then, your head will belong to me."

Chapter 1 Zonarch wiped his forehead of any sweat. All day he's been walking on this road. He looked up to the Black Sphere in the sky. "Father, if you can hear me, humanity needs some help big time." He continued walking down the road. Zonarch just got paid for his last job of infiltrating a bandit camp. The money didn't last because he got paid way less than he was told he was going to. Now he was on the road with no food. "Man, if this keeps up, I won't even live until the end of the world, I'll die of starvation out here in the middle of nowhere. I need a town or river or something that could sustain me for a bit longer." He kept trudging along. On his back was the greatsword be named the Buster Sword. A magical weapon that can change form at will. From his Death Scythe, to his Seraphim Lance, even into his handgun. "It's an advanced generation, how can I have the luck of leaving the only village without flying transportation?" it's been awhile since Zonarch had any real luck. Ever since his last heroic mission he's had no luck.

"Zonarch?" A mysterious girl appeared walking up to him. She eyed him up and down, then nodded as if she knew He was the one she was looking for. She opened a bag on the side of her waist, inside was a canteen full of water and some bread. "Here, take this. It is a sign that I seek you in peace." She smiled.

Zonarch heard his name called. No one else was on this road but him, though some people may have been following him in secret. He turned to face a mysterious girl behind him. She was offering some bread and water as a peace offering."Wow, thanks! Zonarch humbly took the bread and water offered to him. "Not many people come on this road miss, It's really dangerous, mind me asking why you're here?" Zonarch handed the canteen back to the girl.

"I'm here for you. I'm not a stalker, I promise. My father has spoke of you, but I really didn't know what you looked like until I had a vision..." She gave a half smile, not wanting to overwhelm or scare him.

"A vision? What kind of vision?" Zonarch rested on a nearby rock and awaited a response.

"My names Melony by the way." She got the name out of the way. "All I know is I saw some demons, and you... I told my father, Hydro, and he said to find you and tell you."

"So, me and some demons huh? Sounds real serious." Zonarch gave her a reassuring smile. "Nothing I can't handle though, I've fought demons countless times. Name's Zonarch by the way."

"I know who you are." She smiled, brushing the hair from her face. "As I said, I've heard good things about you." She took a bottle of water from her pack and took a drink. "Did you want more bread?"

"Nah, I've had my fill. Yeah I know you know me, but I was going for a more formal introduction, considering we just met, like to start things on a positive note." Zonarch smiled at Melony the way he would a long time friend.

"Ah, I see." She paused for a moment, thinking. "So what do we do? If you want me to tag along and help, I could."

"Oh dear, oh dear," Mai mumbled, "I've lost him again and I'm lost as well." She looked over to see two strangers speaking and sharing a meal . "I'm terribly sorry to interrupt," she brushed her sort silver hair back from her face, and peered at them with deep purple eyes, "The two of you haven't seen a black ferret run through here, have you? I lost him not far from here......." She blushed slightly, "And I'm also very sorry to say that I'm lost myself." She shook her head, her hair falling back in front of her eyes, "I'm supposed to be out on a mission, but I'm afraid that I'm so very hopeless on my own."

Zonarch looked at the new comer with a surprised face. Another individual with his same predicament. "No, I don't believe I have miss, and sorry to say, but I'm a bit lost myself." Zonarch looked down the road he was travelling on for so long. "But I figure this road had to lead out to somewhere, so why not follow it. You're welcome to tag along if you want."

"Maybe I could help you find your ferret. I can use my mind to locate his life force." She closed her eyes, openning them again moments later. "Between a rock and a tree, over there." She pointed to a wooded area not too far off.

"Somewhere sounds like an ok place to start," Mai smiled at Zonarch, brushing the hair out of her face again, "That dream was very vague on where I am supposed to go or who I am to find....." The ferret poked out his head after he was pointed out and hid again. "That was neat," she giggled, letting her ferret continue to hide, "Do you use magic?"
