So lately I've been getting more involved with some gods. I assume they're true, since they've given me answers I could've had absolute no way of knowing and found out they're true..
How do you interact with your deities? Or dragons. :3 Do they come to you in dreams? Just a feeling? Do they actually get in your head and talk to you? Visions? The overwhelming feeling that you HAVE to do this even though you're not sure why? xd

I use trance work myself. I am in the other worlds when I am interacting with them.
Do you know who the deities are that you have been interacting with?

Most of the stuff that happens in our house involves drawing a Veve saying prayers, feeding them and asking questions and the use of divination tools. Until someone in our family goes through kanzo- that's about all it will be.

Apparently Athena and Hades (not really related to each other, just coincidence). I'm working on meeting the others also, and I've gotten stuck reading the Iliad.
Some part of me is terrified that I'm losing my mind and they're not really them, but then I think "well how do you explain them telling you stuff and showing you stuff you didn't know about?" and I'm confused, lol.

As to your question about the feeling of something having to be done.. I would say that yes that is a feeling I have had before. It is impossible to ignore that feeling It's odd at times but it can be worth it.

kage no neko Apparently Athena and Hades (not really related to each other, just coincidence). I'm working on meeting the others also, and I've gotten stuck reading the Iliad. To be honest I have only read a small fraction of it and I was going crazy. I would suggest the Homeric Hymns myself. kage no neko Some part of me is terrified that I'm losing my mind and they're not really them, but then I think "well how do you explain them telling you stuff and showing you stuff you didn't know about?" and I'm confused, lol. I dont know how to challenge that aside from faith and trust.

The Odyssey might be easier. You could read that and come back to the Iliad.

One of the things my Roomie does is draw cards when he talks, odds and evens mean different things and certain cards are tied to certain Loa.

I thought the odyssey was a pretty easy read, actually.

Well I think it depends on if you have read that sort of literature before. The first time I read the Eddas I was confused. However once I read them two or three times I started to be able to understand them and see what they meant with out having to reference another book.

Loona Wynd What is drawing a Veve? Are there specific prayers? And by feed do actually mean feed? The best way to explain a Veve is "It's a rune for a specific god"- that's the simple answer at least. And there are specific prayers- prayers to open the Gate, prayers to call to Loa, to make the offerings and stuff. And feed means food- or treats, like rums, water, cigars or something else they like.

I've heard that with both of those books you need to have a book on how to read them as you read them. I actually bought both, but I was told to read the Iliad first. And it's very strange.. I read a line, it makes no sense, but then it's like it gets translated.. it gets put into plain english for me. So as I've been going along, having this done, I'm slowly learning how to read it myself and it's taking less time, not needing it translated in my head. biggrin

How do you feed the Loa? Do they live in the statues like the Egyptians believed?
