With hope this can become a replacement to the Rangers' Weapon Rack.
This armory is bigger, more realistic, and more practical version than the Rangers' Weapon Rack, and I hope to see you all come and post your load-outs here. With that said, lets begin:
There are several various types of weapons, all of which are suited to specific types of combat roles, although that does not restrain anybody's selection abilities.
These types are:
Assault Rifles
Submachine Guns
Machine Guns
Shotguns
Sniper Rifles
Anti-vehicle WeaponsSidearms

SpecializationsA quick note: You may notice that the Armory has some weapons that you would not see in a typical US ARMY Armory. I've added special NATO weapons to ensure that our forces have the best hardware they can get their hands on, whether its standard issue or not.Let us begin:Assault Rifles:Assault Rifles are the classic rifles of modern warfare. They deliver accurate fire to eliminate soft targets in a few shots. They are the backbone of the infantry arsenals and the most commonly used weapons in the world. And for a good reason, too.M16 A2/A4Summary: An accurate, 3-shot-burst firing, powerful weapon of the United States Armed Forces, The US Army may be trying to phase it out, but so far the M16 series has proven itself to be an effective Communist/Insurgent culling killing tool, and for missions requiring Medium-Prolonged Range combat in a Woodland or Urban Environment one is well suited to use an M16, especially with the M203 Grenade Launcher or a Scope (Or both).
M4A1 SOPMOD [5.56x45]
Summary: A lightweight and very accurate weapon (Although not as the M16A2/A4), known for its compactness and practicability in confined spaces. Weapon of choice in Afghanistan, where the fights are often Urban and close range. What it lacks in range (Or reliability), it makes up for in very low recoil, fully automatic fire and high customization capabilities, making it adaptable to a wide range of combat situations if in the SOPMOD configuration (Ours are).
FN-FAL [7.62x51]Summary: A precise, very powerful Battle/Assault Rifle that also happens to succeed in reliability, among other things. It also uses a somewhat common Caliber, the 7.62x51mm Round. Its fully or Semi-Automatic.
Quite ideal for Medium to Long Range combat, although it does not accept modification or attachments(Besides a A small Scope, or a Bayonet). Note that at 9.8 Pounds, these weapons are somewhat heavy for assault rifles. Note that the FN-FAL's we own are actually semi-automatic surplus L1A1's from the UK.
SA80 Enfield A2 [5.56x45]Summary: A Bullpup Assault Rifle thats standard issue in the Royal Armed Forces. Rather Accurate for a Bullpup, this compact AR is a good bet for average medium range encounters. Rather average, being competent almost everywhere, and excelling almost nowhere. Note that its reliability is questionable.
FN-F2000 Tactical [5.56x45]Summary: This weapon is a b*****d hybrid between an SMG and an Bullpup Assault Rifle, but its closer to the latter. To be frank this weapon has recoil. A raw amount too. However, that makes it a beautiful weapon for close range combat. The edge this gun has over say, an MP5? With Pincanny Rails, the F2000 turns into a F2000 Tactical. The Tactical Configuration allows for a wide manner of extra sights, grips, scopes, shotgun attachments, bayonets, etc., etc, to turn this weapon from a Short Range Assault Rifle to a Swiss Army Knife of Assault rifles, capable of handling all but the most extreme tactical situations or needs.
Still, watch the recoil.
FN-SCAR H SBR [7.62x39mm] Summary: The FN-SCAR SBR is a unique Battle Rifle, completely original in its design. It uses 2 common Calibers (7.62X51 AND 7.62x39mm) so you wouldn't have serious Ammo concerns as you could easily gather ammunition from comrades using the NATO Caliber or from enemies using the AK-47 or derivatives. Also, the weapon is quite powerful, although it is not very accuracate. Excellent for Urban combat. Other environments?
Eh, not so much.
Submachine Guns:Submachine guns deliver fast, small caliber fire to small targets. In a quick spray of high velocity rounds, an SMG can tear up a hostile soldiers body armor and kill the soldier himself, faster than you can say 'death'. The only downside to this is that SMG's must be used at close range for maximum effect. The effective range of an SMG is something between the effective range of a shotgun and Assault Rifle. But once an SMG is in that range, it kills quickly.MP5A3 [9mm]Summary: A common Submachine Gun in the Military, the MP5A3 is an authoritative weapon of NATO Armed forces, and is very portable with moderate stopping power. It has very low cover penetration abilities, but that tends not to be a problem with this weapon.
UMP .45 [.45 ACP]Summary: The UMP .45 SMG happens to be a successor to the MP5. It is also made by the same German weapons developer/manufacturer (
Heckler and Koch). Anyway, this weapon has a larger caliber than the MP5, making for greater penetration power and slightly better Damage, at the cost of half the effective range of the MP5 (The effective range of the UMP .45 is 50 meters.)
P90 [5.7x28mm]Summary: An extremely compact, and lightweight sub-machine-gun using a small but lethal caliber. The Pin-canny Rail on the top of the gun can host a variety of iron of holographic gun-sights. The primary advantage of this weapon in comparison to the others is the 50 Round Magazines and the fact that they can be dual wielded [at the cost of accuracy, however].
Steyr AUG A3 XS 9mm submachine gun Summary: A very tactical, albeit somewhat heavy, 9mm Sub-machine Gun with high accuracy and very suitable range, being close to that of your typical assault rifle. The Pincanny Rail is good for any manner of sights or scopes, as well as as bayonets or a small Grenade Launcher.
The only downside is the 9mm Caliber, which is small on penetration.
Machine Guns:Machine Guns. We've used them since the WW1 and they are still serving widely in the militaries of the world. Using them defensively, one can cut down entire squads of enemy troops quickly, so long as he/she remains stationary and uses a bipod. Offensively, a Machine Gun can be mounted to the ground or a piece of cover to deliver relentless gunfire the forces an enemy into cover while friendlies move up for better shooting positions. While this is the primary purpose of Machine Guns, some are deadly and versatile enough to be used effectively outside of this, giving the squad great dexterity.M249 [5.56x45 NATO]Summary: Once again, another well known, iconic even, US Army weapon, the M249 is a true Light Machine Gun. It weighs 15 Pounds empty which is appropriate for an LMG. It has a Pincanny Rail, a bi-pod, and a 200-Round default Magazine. With its low recoil, high RPM, and Bi-pod, this weapon is dedicated to forcing enemy squads to take cover while allies move closer to get the drop on the enemy. Unfortunately, it is because this weapon is dedicated to suppression that it is also weak, and not intended for taking down lots of enemies. It is a true teamwork weapon, and used properly with teamwork, swiftness and coordination, it can increase a squads effectiveness 110%.
M60 Mk.43 MOD 0/1 "Assault" [7.62x51mm] Summary: The most reliable version of the M60, the support weapon of the Vietnam War, the M60 Mk.43 is a Very powerful Support weapon. In its past the original M60 has had reputation problems due to its poor reliability, however in the Mk.43 version, most of this has beeen changed. In addition to better reliability, the M60 has a reduced weight [its now down to 23 Pounds when empty], a shorter 'Assault' Barrel to give it more of a tactical edge, and better barrel change accommodations. Although intended for suppresson, the M60 was also designed with killing power in mind, and as a result, it can often put down foes at a long range in realatively few shots. However, this weapon was not built with accuracy in mind, so it takes a skilled and experienced shooter to acomplish this. Latching the pipod to the ground or a low piece of cover, the M60 can be an excellent assault/suppresion weapon, and due to its large caliber, it can
sometimes penetrate enemy cover. If you don't mind the still-questionable reliability, or the meaty weight, the M60 is a great weapon to take of your missions. Just keep it clean.
M240B [7.62x51mm]Summary: The M240B is a highly reliable and powerful alternative to the M60 weapon system, although it is heavier than the M60. While it is more reliable than its predecessor, it is iffy to hold, and heavy to carry, making it very uncomfortable to use. However, this gun is good for all the reasons the M60 is good, and it goes on without the main reason the M60 is bad (reliability issues), making it an excellent firearm for pushing the enemy into cover, as well as culling the enemies that don't make it to cover in time.
HK MG4 [5.56x45mm NATO]Summary: Another weapon from Heckler & Koch the MG4 is dubbed by its users to be "The ACR of LMG's" (Some of you may know that the ACR is another weapon known for its high accuracy). The MG4 is a compact Light Machine Gun of a common caliber, high accuracy, and moderate portability, being roughly 18.5 Pounds, slightly heavier than its direct competitor, the M249. While not terribly high on power, this is one of the more well rounded Machine Guns here.
HK21E [7.62x51mm]Summary: Yet another weapon by the esteemed Heckler & Koch, the HK21 Export is hybrid between a Battle rifle and a Light Machine Gun, being based on the G3 Battle Rifle. This Weapon has nearly the Accuracy of a Battle Rifle, and the Weight, Magazine Capacity, and Fire Rate of an Assault Rifle. However, the weapons power and caliber size induce some recoil, so mount this baby to a low piece of cover or the ground if you plane of preforming suppressing fire. Best at medium range, although it is good at long range as well.
ShotgunsYou all know shotguns; short range killing tools. They've been around a very long time, and they are generally effective at fast kills in indoor or confined spaces, where short range combat is nearly guaranteed, although any close encounters of any kind are made instantly lethal if one guy is using a shotgun and another guy isn't. Make sure you are the guy with the shotgun.Mossberg 590 [.12 Gauge]Summary: A very reliable, ranged shotgun (Effective at 40 meters, 50 Meters absolute maximum), that has seen action even in Iraq. Has a capacity of 8 rounds. The Mossberg is a Pump Action Shotgun that is lethal, and it wont let you down with failure to shoot, either. Its not a shredder, its a killer. Unfortunately, there is no customizability for this weapon.
M1014, Joint Service Combat Shotgun [.12 Gauge]Summary: The Joint Service Combat Shotgun is a tactical, semi-automatic shotgun with an effective range of 40 meters, which is certainly usable. While not as reliable as the Mossberg 590, this weapon is less oriented around 1-shot culling power, and more focused on tactical edge. It has a collapsible stock for improved handling in confined spaces if needed. It also has a pin-canny rail for mounting night optics, various sights, or any other optic as needed for a given mission.
HK CAWS [.12 Gauge]Summary: Yes, Heckler and Koch makes it over to the Shotguns we have as well. The HK CAWS is a semi-tactical, semi-assault weapon, as it can switch between fully automatic or semi-automatic fire. It has a high range of 150 Meters, and it has a bullpup design. The Magazine size is 20.
AA-12 Automatic Shotgun [.12 Gauge]This is your Assault Shotgun. This is the one that will shred people. A near recoilless, fully automatic, combat shotgun that can mount optics of any kind and hit our enemies at nearly 175 Meters away. The only downside to all of this is that the weapon is fully automatic, but the magazine size is 8, so you will find yourself reloading constantly. Also, you can't carry a great deal of magazines either, as .12 Gauge Ammunition can be heavy.
Marksman/Sniper RiflesOne shot, one kill. This is the main principle of sniper rifles. Precise shots hitting targets in lethal places from a large distance. This is what its all about.Mk.14 EBR [7.62x51]Summary: The Mk. 14 EBR is a tactical enhancement of the M14, which was an upgrade from the M1 Garand. The Mk.14 is a semi-automatic rifle ripe for modification, and it can be changed from a Designated Marksman Weapon, to a battle rifle, to a sniper rifle, or something in between. An effective weapon that has been serving us since the Vietnam War. However, a more dexterous (albiet shorter ranged) verion, is the
SOCOM 16 Tactical.
M82 Barret .50 Cal Sniper Rifle [.50 BMG]Summary: An anti-material sniper rifle capable of great penetration, being known to shot through brick and concrete, and light vehicles, at great ranges. This sniper weapon has the kind of great anti-vehicle/personnel power its large caliber can afford it, but its weight is pretty high (28.5 Pounds) and its ammunition is expensive and heavy as well, meaning we can't deploy you with much of it. Soldiers who deploy with this weapon usually drop with a light secondary weapon, such as a machine pistol (See below) or Submachine Gun (See above), as they can't carry much else. If you want great long-range firepower and you are comfortable with not having much in the way of a secondary weapon, please drop with this weapon.
M110 Sniper Rifle [7.62x51]Summary: The M110 Sniper Rifle is a semi-automatic tactical weapon with Pincanny rails both on the top and bottom of the weapon, allowing for any tactical attachment to be mounted. The weapon has some cover-penetration abilities, but not much, and you should generally be aiming for the head or kill-zone with this weapon, as with all weapons. This weapon is 16 pounds empty, which is reasonably lightweight.
Anti-vehicle WeaponsWhether its the AT-4 for taking out an enemy IFV, or the notorious Stinger for removing that inconvinient russian chopper from you day, if all the weapons listed before are for 'soft' targets, the weapons below are intended for 'hard' targets.M136 Anti-Tank 4Summary: The Light Anti-Tank Arnament of the US Army. In fact it replaced the US LAW. Ideal for taking out vehicles and Tanks, although you will need multible hits to take out the latter.
FIM-92 StingerSummary: The FIM-92 Stinger Launcher is a 33.52 pound anti-aircraft missle launcher. This weapon can reliably take out nearly any attack chopper or even a fighter plane such as the Harrier. However, this requires the target be within 8 km of the Stinger operator. This anti aircraft weapon is heavy and bulky, as is its ammunition, so a soldier is only expected to carry 1-2 Missles of ammuntion, 3 at maximum. If you a nd you team are going on an op, and you are expecting enemy air support, bring this weapon.
M224 60mm Light MortarSummary: This 60mm Light Mortar is highly capable of anti-infantry, anti-entrenchment, and to a limited extent, anti-tank operations. It weighs 18 pounds, but is best operated in a team of 3 or more [A team leader to direct the fire, an ammo bearer to carry shells and help load them, and a gunner to set up and fire the mortar]. Also, it is important to keep the mortar in the back while other soldiers advance and give enemy coordinates to the squad leader via radio. If you need a compromise between anti-defense and anti-infantry long range explosive power, you should consider this weapon.
Sidearms Your beloved primary is your baby, and its saved you life on numerous occasions. But you know what has saved you more? Your sidearm. Your Sidearm will be on your hip when even your primary weapon fails you. Time to pick one.HK USP'sChose a pistol you find on the site. There are a few variants, each with its various advantages and disadvantages. Overall you can expect great tactical dexterity, realative lightweight, and low recoil.
Taurus .44 MagnumsYou have your pick of long barrel or shortbarrel .44 Magnums. The Long barrel Magnums are obviously more powerful and have greater range. However, the short barrel ones are lighter and are easier to pull out of the holser. Its your 'tactical' decision. However, this is the .44 magunum; you know what you are getting into.
Colt Delta Elite 10mm PistolThe Colt Delta Elite 10mm is a Colt 1911 that has been modified to effectively and reliably fire the 10mm Auto Pistol cartridge, considered by some to be among the best in Pistol Cartridges. DUe to modifications made as well as the new Caliber, this weapon is much more effective than its older cousin, the original Colt 1911, which was a fine weapon anyway.
GrenadesA bullet may have your name on it, but a grenade is addressed 'To whom it may concern'
-Random Motivational Poster
M67 Fragmentation GrenadeSummary: With a low weight, moderate damage radius, and 3-5 second fuse time, these are your tactical Frag Grenades. Reliable, cheap, and lightweight. Good for flushing enemies out of cover or even killing enemies.
AN-M8-HC Smoke GrenadeSummary: These tactical smoke grenades can not only be thrown an average of 30 meters and blanket a wide area with [insert color here] smoke for nearly 150 seconds, but they can also irritate an enemy not wearing a gas mask, which limits their combat effectiveness (Should that enemy be in or near the smoke). This is good for you. These grenades are great for blocking the visibility of the enemy for whatever reason or purpose, in addition to alerting freindly forces of your location, if nessesary. You will have to chose from standard Grey Smoke, Green Smoke, or Red Smoke
XM84 Stun GrenadeSummary: The stun grenade is a nonlethal weapon designed for temporarily disorienting, blinding, defeaning, and possibly confusing enemies caught in the grenade's radius. These adverse effects can give you a ew seconds to line up a perfect shot against an afflicted enemy. In some cases you would be better served using frag grenades instead of these. In other, more tactical situations, STun Grenades are better. Think about it.
Tactical ExtensionsThese Tactical Extensions are packs and pouches designed to increase a soldier's tactical dexterity in a mission. The variety of extensions include Medical Kits, Additional Ammunition Pouches, and Survival Equipment. All of this equipment is for extreme situations when you are shot, out of rations, and the calvary ain't comin'. Each soldier has his pick of one of these. Squads are advised to ensure each soldier has a different extention to ensure a squad is being tactically diverse and near-universally prepared.
Improved First Aid KitSummary: This isn't the first aid kit you remember from you childhood. This kit includes everything needed to treat major causes of combat deaths, from massive bleeding caused by a gunshot wound to a lack of air due to a soldier getting hit in the lungs, for example. Added to this is the kit's conviniece as it weights one pound, is only a few inches wide and long, making it easy to clip to a utility belt, ammunition belt, or pack. As this 1 pound pouch is quite elastic, the contents of this kit can be changed or added to according to a soldier's understanding of the METT-TC (Mission, Enemy, Terrain and weather, Troops and support available, Time available, Civil considerations).
Active Shooter Rifle Ammunition shoulder-slung bagSummary: Comparable to a laptop bag stuffed with ammunition, this shoulder-slug bag is perfect for storing an additional 8 M16 STANAG Magazines or 4 7.62 Magazines. It will also accomodate 2 extra knives OR 2 extra pistol magazines. For these reasons it very well compliments an M16/M4 or SCAR-H loadout of sorts. This extension also makes you capable of supporting/resupplying your teamates should they run low on munitions. However, since you are already carrying ammunition in you ammo pouches which is already heavy, adding this to your assortment will slow you down. However, it has great value to you and your team should you ever need to hold a position or make a prolonged/difficult assault.
Machine Gun Belt Ammunition Bag MountSummary: If the previous extension was for carrying extra Pistol and Assault Rifle ammuntion, this extension is for carrying extra Machine Gun ammuntion. However, this extension does even more than that. It is designed to carry 400 rounds of
belt linked ammunition, and as such, this same belt can be loaded into the chamber of a belt-fed Machine Gun. If this is done, and the MG in question will have access to the rest of the 400 Rounds, whih allows for continuous fire until the 400 rounds are expended. Basically what I am saying is that this pouch will carry extra ammuntion for a Machine Gun as well as make for a quadruple size Machine Gun firing capacity. However, this can only be done once per mission, for obvious reasons.
Wilderness Guardian Survival KitSummary: This kit, packed with many NATO-approved items, includes everything a soldier or squad needs to
A.) get a bearing after ending up in a lost-in-the-winderness situation
B.) Find Food, establish shelter, and make a plan to get back to base/the mission
C.)Pack up any aquired food and safely navagate the enviornment to find the EZ, and then signal 'the chopper' so that you can get out of there. See link for itemized list of Kit contents.
It is recommended that at least 2 members in a squad equip this Kit so that the most of the squad squad is covered (Each Kit accoodates 2 People).
Weapon AttachmentsSometimes the weapons themselves are not enough, and you need a supplement to increase the combat effectiveness of your weapon, and in turn, you. The amount of attachments is dependent on the amount your CO allows you to have. The maximum is 2 attachments for your primary, 1 attachment for your secondary.
Grippod forward grip systemSummary: This hybrid of a foregrip and a bipod greatly increases the performance of any weapon it is attached to, as the operator can very quickly and very easily go from a stationary to mobile firing position while maintaining a high accuracy the entire time. Can mount to any weapon with a Pincanny Rail.
M203 Underbarrel Grenade LauncherSummary: This well-known grenade launcher is capable of launching anti-personnel 40mm Grenades a total of 400 Yards in an accurate manner. It is great for eliminating Machine-Gun nests, pieces of cover, and even anti-vehicle applications. It can be used with any Assault rifle, but none of the other weapons.
BSA Multi-Reticule Holographic SightSummary: Holographic Sights (also known as Holosights) are advanced weapon sights designed to provide the user with an illuminated reticule that works well in all weather conditions, as opposed to iron sights. This Holosight can be configured for a variety of calibers and can be arranged to operate from 4 a choice of 4 different reticule options and 7 brightness conditions. An excellent alternative to iron sights (also, it is especially superior to iron sights on night ops, where the iron sights are hardly visible).
AWC SuppressorSummary: The combat suppresor is designed to reduce the high sound of firearms discharge in combat. This is extremely helpful for things like Night Ops, Hostage Rescue, or other situations where stealth is a helpful or needed aspect of the mission for successful completion. AWC has silencers
designed for 5.56x45 Weapons, silencers
designed for the 7.62x51 Weapons, silencers
designed for .50 Caliber Weapons, and lastly, silencers
designed for .45 ACP Pistols. However, suppressors have a disadvantage; in order to produce their noise-reducing effect, they slow down the bullet fired before it can exit the barrel. This reduces the muzzle velocity of a weapon equipped with a suppressor, and as a result it reduces the range and power of a weapon. unless you have to, don't use suppressors on your weapons. Needless to say, they cannot be used with Anti-vehicle weapons.
M9 (EOD) Multi-Purpose 12 in. BayonetSummary: While the US Army is working on phasing out bayonets and bayonet drill training, there are still soldiers out there that needed to get stabbed, and while the M9 is still in service, it is our duty to ensure that they will be. In addition to serving as a realatively-long-range melee implement, this bayonet also serves as a utility knife, wire-cutter, saw, and even an EOD tool. This weapon can easily be mounted onto the M16/M4 Platform, as well as the Mossberg 590 Shotgun. However, it cannot be used for other weapons, unless you just keep in your sheath when going on missions.
Body ArmorIf you are not strapping yourself into a suit of body armor before going to war, you are living in the WW2 era. Modern body armor has been with us since the days of PAGST, which served us in the Vienam war. Since then, modern body armor has been greatly improved, and now we have our pick of several reliable and durable forms of armor. You have your pick out of the two major option a United States soldier can have.
Improved Out Tactical Vest (IOTV)Summary: The Improved Outer Tactical Vest is the US Army's answer to the older but less useful
Interceptor ballistic vest system. Generally it weighs less than the Modular Tactical vest, is more comfortable, and it can withstand 7.62 Rounds, to an extend. Parts can be added or subtracted (e.g. neck protection, groin protection, etc.) to manage the protection and weight offered by this vest. It is very much worth noting that this vest has its ballistic plates and shock plates focused on the chest area, the back, and the ribs, and as such the other areas of the vest are not as heavily armored in the interest of low weight making you less reliably protected but more agile.
Modular Tactical VestSummary: The Modular Tactical Vest is also a response to the flaws of the Intercepter Vest, but at 30 Pounds, it is heavier than the IOTV above. It has a more even distribution of weight and protection than the IOTV, making it even more reliable to protect you from the devestation of a 'luck shot' the enemy gets on you. Like the above vest, this vest can be adjusted by putting on or taking away various parts. Even shoulder pads are optional. The MTV is less comfortable that the IOTV, but somewhat more protective, especially due to the fact that it covers the whole torso with full protection, as opposed to the IOTV which puts full protection for only major areas. If you are afraid of the prospect of getting hit in an area not fully protected by the IOTV, this vest is a good, trustworthy choice. Its just heavy and stuffy, and will slow you down slightly.
SpecializationsYou are aware of specializations. This is just a list of specializations that you will have to pick for the form below (Its for the Loadout Purpose section). Note that you can either have a 'pure' class with one specialization the soldier excels at, or a hybrid class consisting of two or more specializations for a more dexterous but less specialized soldier.
Rifeman: Footsoldier, specialist at medium range combat and the backbone of assault and defense operations.
CQC: Close Quarters combat soldier that is more effective at combat in confined enviornments than other soldiers.
EOD: Explosive Ordnance Removal operatives know how to handle a great many explosives from mines to custom-made suitcase nukes to garage-made cell phone bombs.
Sniper/Marksman: Long Range Footsoldiers are availible in two kinds; fireteam-level Designated Marksmen, and high-perched Snipers. Both will lack in confined-quaters but at longer ange they will excel at providing accurate shots to enemy teams, even other snipers.
Anti-Vehicle: As the name implies, such soldiers are very skilled and well equipped at destroying or disabling enemy vehicles.
Machine Gunner: The Machine Gunner is quite good at suppressing/pinning down enemy squads and providing covering fire, although he may not get as many kills as the others.
Medic: Medics are not ussually combat-skilled but can provide quick and needed healing for wounded soldiers.
