This is my first review, so please excuse its' horribleness.

Being a fan of H.P. Lovecraft, I have found that Hollywood has never been able to create a really good Lovecraft movie. That all changed when, in 2005, the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society created their own film adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's classic story.

For those of you who don't know, the HPLHS is a live action role-playing group whose adventures are based off of Lovecraft's stories. So, it only seemed natural that fans of Lovecraft should make a movie. They did and they did it brilliantly.

Call of Cthulhu is done in the style of the horror films of the 1920s. It is both silent and in black and white. You will believe that this movie was made in the 1920s. It also follows the story's plot down to every last detail.

I loved it, but I don't think other people will. However, it is definitely a movie that should be seen.

My rating: 8/10.
