The second half as started and The Destiny managed to escape mostly intact. So my fellow SGC members its time to discuss the latest episode.

Well at least my guess that Chole was going to call the Blue Aliens to "help" was correct. I didn't really like how they resolved the Chole situation, unless there is still something going on with her that we don't know about. Also I wish to know what the whole purpose of the "transformation" was actually for. Once again "we" kill off a whole species again. I still can't help but get a Asgard v Replicator vibe from the whole Drone v. Urseni plot. I wonder if this "nicer" Rush is just an act? I also couldn't help but think that Rush lied to Chole about the math being right, especially after the second look he gave the notepad. Overall it wasn't a bad epsiode, it looks like next weeks episode "Twin Destiny's" looks to be a more interesting episode.

It was a good episode though I do have to agree with you that th Urseni getting killed off was annoying I honestly would have liked to see them be integrated into the destinies crew. Here's hoping for another remnant.

Also I am starting to be annoyed with the "Destiny" because this is supposedly the pinnacle of ancient tech. So why does it seem like such a piece of garbage? I mean the earth ships are more "advanced" in comparison. Is this because of the damaged systems and limited exploration or were the ancients not at their technological peak when they launched destiny?

It was a good episode though I do have to agree with you that th Urseni getting killed off was annoying I honestly would have liked to see them be integrated into the destinies crew. Here's hoping for another remnant.

Also I am starting to be annoyed with the "Destiny" because this is supposedly the pinnacle of ancient tech. So why does it seem like such a piece of garbage? I mean the earth ships are more "advanced" in comparison. Is this because of the damaged systems and limited exploration or were the ancients not at their technological peak when they launched destiny?

Actually a Pud Jumper would be more advanced than the Destiny. The ship is truly ancient, millions or more years old that Atlantis and we know that Atlantis is several million years old already. So when they 1st launched the Destiny it would have been the latest and best tech at the time. Even the Stargate are much older than the MW gates, for the fact that they are limited in the distance between the gates.

If they were going up against an Earth ship or an Aurora class ship then yes they wouldn't have much of a chance. You would think that with the Destiny being so much older (like the 80's cell phone compared to the iPhone) that the Blue aliens wouldn't have a problem with getting inside Destiny. But it seems that the Destiny's shield are like uber powerful (when everything is up and running properly) as that seems to be whats keeping them out.
