Life was perfect for them until Sam turned 7. She was already in control of her vampire side, but she still wasn't too good at everything. Her father helped her as much as he could and taught her the basics of what she needed to know. One night though, a vampire hunter came looking for her father and murdered him in cold blood in front of Sam and her mom, scarring them both. He was the only target so the two girls were left alone.
A year later everything had gone downhill. Her mom started using drugs and dating sleazy men to make her feel better inside. Little did she know what those men were doing to her daughter. Most of them were abusive to the two in all ways. Sam tried and tried to be good but no one saw her accomplishments, so she started acting out and her whole person changed. When she was 13 she ran away and ended up on the streets for a while, before the state got a hold of her and begain passing her around homes. No one could take care of her, or deal with all the fighting, so they found a school to put her in. Not too mention everyone was afraid of her vampire side. ⊰
