Well guys, Jello is back! I'd like to apologize for my absence... A 11 page paper was kind of taking up my time, plus a musical to perform in...
If you'd like to read the paper, let me know and I'll post it on the Writer's guild. If not... Well, I'm not going to waste the space. xd

I wanna reeead!
I went to a jazz festival last night, actually...met my future marching band director and the jazz director too...an unfortunate shortage of trumpets means I'm almost definitely in jazz next year, so that's great....
You're in your school's jazz band I hope, right Jello?

xd Okayy, Okay, I'll post it then.
Ahhh Yes, I am in our jazz band. I butcher play the tenor sax (second part because I suck someone that absolutely loves the instrument is also in our band.) Speaking of festivals ( <3 ) I'm going to one on Wednesday biggrin
I have to say, out of jazz, pit, pep, marching, and wind ensemble, jazz is probably tied with marching and pit for first on my list.

Lucky. You have a lot of bands.
Our school has marching, concert, and jazz, all of which are ridiculously tiny.
I wish I played a sax. Probably alto, since anything larger would eat me.

3nodding Our school is enriched with music. We have a concert band, a wind ensemble, a jazz band, a pep band, a marching band, a pit band, an orchestra, chorus, men's chorus, women's chorus, bear singers (which is like... an ultra chorus. Our mascot is the polar bear, sooo...) and.... Not to mention those who go to districts and regionals in band, jazz band, and chorus...... Yeaa...
If you're going to learn how to play a sax, definitely start on an alto. I don't think you'd really have a lot of trouble getting sounds out of a tenor or a bari, but alto is definitely the easiest to start with. Oooooorrrr you could start with the clarinet because it's definitely better... But harder in more ways than one..... But worthwhile biggrin biggrin biggrin

JESUS. We have a really good drama program, but our chorus is horrific. Lucky. D:
My friend said he might teach me if I could teach him how to play trumpet....XD

mrgreen Ah yes, we do have a musical for high school, middle school, and elementary school too... But that goes right along with pit, at least for the high school. Not so much for middle and elementary. Btw, when does your music program start? Our orchestra starts in third, and our band and chorus starts in fourth grade.
blaugh I CAN PLAY MARRY HAD A LITTLE LAMB ON THE TRUMPET!!!!! In a very odd key.... Eb or something.... I forget. And sometimes if I practice I can get a scale or two out. 3nodding

Yea. I'm pretty out of practice though, because the friend whose trumpet I used to play is in concert band and I'm in wind ensemble and we don't have any study halls together, so we never play together..... crying
