I do not think so; at least, I have never heard of it.

Oh sad
Well, it's where people do something funny for money and give it to charity! Yay!
Everyone dresses up red and begs people to sponser them as they do something stupid like hop around a feild (My sister did that, it was raining too!)
And that's Red Nose Day. All I did was buy a cake and a red nose...

That's so cool. America needs to adopt this holiday too.
So does everyone do something silly, or is it just something done by people belonging to specific charities? I would love to look stupid for charity. But I think everyone where I come from would look at me funny and I wouldn't earn a cent.

Schools and clubs and workplaces do lots of things for Comic Relief all over Britain. Celebrities make complete fools of themselves for money too. Two British presenters, Ant and Dec, went to all of the British chat shows one day and took something (like a couch or a camera or whatever) and auctioned them, then gave all the money to charity. They earned over 4 million pounds. It's a great day. We don't celebrate it in Ireland, but I watch all the festivities on the English TV channels.

America should do it! I know this sounds bad, but I think they don't do it 'cos they're greedy! razz Or they just have no clue about it. If I ever become famous, I'm teaching America!

I wish I could argue in favor of my country, but unfortunately I live in like the worst place in all America, so I'm forced to agree with you. There are a lot of not good people where I come from. (mostly because we're all poor as dirt and have no jobs or homes, but still.) As soon as I'm self sufficient I'm moving to Canada, or maybe Ireland. I watched a show about Irish food, made me want to visit, and maybe never come home. If you could vouch for you county I'll consider adding it to my list. :] But, I do think that the only reason we don't have red nose day is simply because no one knows about it. We recently had a telethon where a bunch of comedians auctioned themselves off and donated the money to Autism. It was cute, one guy simulated an orgasm using the highest bidders name. Another told off the highest bidders Ex boyfriend, and one comedian was selling a calendar of her face photo-shopped onto hot girls, and guys, bodies. It was hilarious. I think American comedians would really enjoy red nose day if they knew about it. I can see it being popular over here.

Do want. *Grabby hands* I would buy a talk show couch for charity.
