Whatever you end up doing, don't send it to sony for repair. They update your firmware when you do... I do think that you can get screens off of Lik Sang for about $159 I think. you might want to try there. And they come with instructions! cool

meh i bought an LCD from a website and when it gets here i have some instructions on installing it...oh well atleast im getting a new faceplate out of the deal biggrin

This happened with my old PSP. I bought a new one and then sent it in for repairs. It was a good idea because it was my only PSP with 1.5 firmware so i could play homebrew games on it. But then I had a bad idea and sold it to a friend. Meh. try sending it back to SONY for repairs.
