Sometimes there are Pokemon that you fall in love with the moment you see them. You don't know their stats, you don't know if they're great or horrible in game but you know you love them. Whether you found them by scrolling through a list or meet them in the wild or see them with an enemy trainer.
Ninetails was the first Pokemon I instantly adored. Hell I wasn't even too interested in Pokemon until I saw that white elegant fox on the cover of a board game box. It was alongside other Pokemon but this one looked amazing to me.
The second one was Mareep. All I could think was HOLY CRAP CUUUUUUTE. It was in my gold game which sadly I lost - but now I've got it back in my HG game. biggrin
For a while there was no Pokemon that captured my heart. That is part of the reason why I never really felt anything for Hoenn and Sinnoh. Sure there were Pokemon I liked but only after having done things with them. Not love at first sight in any way.
But then came Unova. And looking through that Bulbapedia list not one but two Pokemon grabbed me and never let me go: Whimsicott and Mienfoo. I guess that's why I'm so fond of Black and White because they really made me excited in Pokemon again.
Which Pokemon were your love-at-first-sighters? biggrin

OOOHH HARD.
I'm really not sure. :c Normally when I look at pokémon on the Internet, I tend to turn my nose up at them or just think, "Hmm...I dunno; maybe." ...But then when I see them in-game, I want them.
That happened to me with Dwebble.
I feel like I should have more experiences with that, but there are a lot of pokémon that I don't see in-game unless I evolve them myself or purposely search them out. >3<
I mean, I didn't know Smeargle existed for six or seven years of playing Silver...because it was off in some remote grass in the middle of the Ruins of Alph and had a low encounter rate.
I've caught pretty much every pokémon I can encounter in Black. >c<
I think B/W is exciting for the same reason.

I tend to choose my teams from what I like the look of.
I'd rather not have Seismitoad on my White team right now, but until I can transfer my Gastrodon and Marshtomp over from Platinum, it's the only water/ground type I can get.
And I love water/ground types.
I wasn't too keen on Snivy's evolution line at first, but as soon as I got Serperior I was like HOLY CRAP THESE STATS.
Plus Leaf blade is the best grass type move ever.

Ninetails was my first love of Pokemon as well! And when I saw Vulpix I literally exploded and was like "OH, MY, GOD - DESU~!!" LMAO
Than I saw the second gen. Pokemon and thought they all kinda blah. But I have recently fallen in love with Crobat.
Third gen. was the same as the first, only added two more. Flygon was the first to amaze me, than I saw Milotic and was like "Pretty fish-thing!" And than I saw Rayquaza. He is my all time favorite legend. He was my powerhouse for my little team and was the first of any of my Pokemon to reach level 100. Unfortunately, my training knowledge back then was horrible so he actually very strong.
Anywho. Now we're onto the fourth gen.? Yeah, nothing excited me here.
Ah, we've reached the Fifth gen. I'm not really sure who has stolen my heart yet, except maybe Victini, which makes me sad because I'll never have one because he's an event Pokemon. ; w;

I fell in love with Zubat and Crobat. And if it wasn't for Crobat being introduced I would never allowed my Zubat to evolve into Golbat.
It kinda hurt that I couldn't have a Zubat right from the start in Unova but Woobat's doing a good job at filling Zubat's slot in the team.

When playing Sapphire, there were two. I saw them both on enemy trainers- they were Mawile and Zangoose. Incidentally, I bought Ruby soon after. (Although I had a friend give me his Zangoose, first)
And then there was Lopunny in Platinum, I didn't even own a Buneary until I saw that Lopunny.
For Unova it was Gothimu and her entire family. I don't care what else goes on my team as long as I have a Gothimu.

There're tons, I'm a sucker for cute pokemon XD
Vulpix, ponyta, growlithe & arcanine, flareon & jolteon, mareep, poochyena, espeon & umbreon, flygon, taillow, shinx, glaceon, gible, erufuun, blitzle, reuniclus, sandile, axew & haxorus, and deino are a few of them, at least the ones I can think of. Also smeargle.
I don't use a lot of them, because a lot of them are unevolved and therefore take a lot more training than others, but...meh. The ones that I like when they evolve and are useable I evolve and use on my main in-game teams, the rest I just have in boxes wearing cute names XD

Same here. As soon as the sprites were released on Serebii back in sept/oct, I fell hard for that lil' rock dweller. Not only is it based off a hermit crab (I <3 hermies!), but they're way too adorable for their own good! Now, I have enough Dwebble on White to create an entire team of 'em. Some of my other LAFS (loves at first sight) were Charizard, Vaporeon, Bellossom, the Mareep family, Espeon, Girafarig, Suicune, Marshtomp, Lileep, Mismagius, Froslass, Leafeon, Gallade, Tepig, Swoobat (Mommy luvs you Talulla!), Blitzle, and Joltik. You know, they need to stop making those eeveelutions so gosh darn attractive. xd

I'm really in love with the shiny Audino sprite. o3o I haven't seen one yet, but I'm looking...in all of my Audino hunting... I might end up using Masuda Method on it. cry
