XXXXX ⊱ A sarcastic loner is exactly what Nero is. He rarely shows any type of excitement, in fact, he rarely even smiles, unless it's at someone else's expense or stupidity. He doesn't waste his time, and people often think of him insensitive and rude with his cynical comments, but one should expect that to come from him. However, he can be generous in his own way, and some may not even realize it when he's being kind to them, which is fine by him. He has a large ego, and it would pain him to have anyone consider him "good-hearted" for the pure fact that it's too feminine. But occasionally, to certain people, he may come off as sweet. His temper is quick, however, and it's easy to frustrate him. When he does get angry, he may seem even more cold than usual, but when he gets past his breaking point, Nero becomes exceedingly violent.
Nero stays mostly to himself and alone, and doesn't really feel the need to have "friends". One of his biggest pet peeves is when someone attempts to shove themselves into his life, which is not okay with him at all. He finds other people's opinions and emotions annoying. He is very pessimistic, cold and distant, depressive, stubborn, arrogant, and reluctant to many things.
Many people would call him an a**hole. ⊰

XXXXX ⊱ In her youth, Nero's mother was eccentric and quite unintelligent, and often got herself in dangerous situations and attracted very dangerous people. She was naive and impulsive, to say the least. She found herself in the company of a stranger, an oddly electrifying man with malicious intentions, and this thrilled her. She ended up sleeping with him, and ultimately became pregnant with Nero.
Raniero Giovanni Montague grew up without a father figure and with a relentlessly immature mother, which caused him to basically live on his own most of the time. Having to care of his mother half the time, the other half he spent by himself, growing a hatred for the world he lived in even as a small child. He was morbid, calculated, and merciless, and his mother often called him the son of Satan. Nero often blames his childhood and his mother's stupid mistake for the way he is today, and often wishes he was never born. His mother and him moved around a lot, a well, which made Nero
It wasn't until recently where Nero met his father, a high demon lord. He wasn't interested in what his father had to say, and neither was it a pleasant greeting. He found he and his father had a lot in common, which almost made him enjoy the company of his demonic parent. Nero's father found a liking for him also, and pledged to make his life a little easier, without his mother, and enrolled him into Northstar Academy. Nero didn't mind this, and started school as soon as possible. ⊰
