Though raising a circle is not really a spell, per se, it is a very important part of any ritual, so I thought I would start a thread for people to post their circle casting techniques. I'll start.
I start by physically defining my circle boundaries, most of the time this means drawing lines in my carpet since my sacred space is my room which is carpeted. I think that having physicall boundaries for your cirlce makes it easier to define in your mind, and therefore with your energy.
Then I gather all of the things that I will need for my ritual and set up my altar etc.
I then start in the north and walk Deosil (clockwise) around the circle three times. While walking I hold two of my fingers strait down together and imagine a purple-white light/energy flowing from my fingers onto the boundary of my circle (this can also be done with an athame instead of fingers) creating a circle of energy that raises, and lowers, into a sphere as I walk the second and third circuts, continuing to feed energy into it. While doing this I say one line of the following for each time around the circle:
"I cast the circle once around in the name of the elements which do abound.
I cast the circle twice about in the name of the Godess and love devout
I cast the circle thrice each time in the name of my self, my soul and my mind."
I know it may sound complicated, but I do all of this in just a few minutes, and then I am ready to start my actual ritual.
To take down my circle I start in the West and walk Widdershins (counter-clockwise) while imagining a yellow-white light flowing back into my fingers/athame while saying "let the circle be opened."

Excellent! =D I follow a similar one, except with different words. I'll be sure to post it when I dig out my BoS today.
[ I promise. I really will. xD ]

I'd be surprised if you used the same words considering I made them up myself. But anyone who would like to use them may, please feel free.

I do it totally differently. I use a great hefty desk as my Altar space, so can't really walk around, not without moving a lot of my furniture anyway...but mine goes like this:
===== Grab my besom and start sweeping the floor space, after moving any bits of stray furniture away to give me extra room.
Turn all artificial lights off...leave one candle on desk if in total darkness. Then light the incense from that candle.
I either sit or stand, and slow my breathing and mental track. My body seems to take a motion of it's own around now (maybe I'm just loosing it?) and I start rocking back and forth gently. With the motion in a rythem I start to imagine the circle all around me on the floor. Just a white line.
Then, chanting I raise the circle so it closes around me as a sphere...down beneath the ground and up over my head:
"I cast the circle all around, Up through Air, Down through Ground."
Chanting this I imagine the trail of light spiralling up and down at the same time, making the sphere. When it is complete, then I summon up the Elemental Guardians with a similar rocking evocation and begin the spell.
Closing the circle is simlar, just with:
"I close the circle all around, Down through Air, Up through Ground.

I don't chant anything out loud when im casting a circle, only when i cast a spell. i just visualise the circle there on the ground in bright blue light, and to close it i just see it fade away. it does its job, so im happy!

Yeah, I'm kinda like that myself. I write poetry like a God, but my rhyming stinks. >.<
I use a lot of visualization when I do things, and I plan on writing down in my BoS both ways posted so far of how you cast your circles.
Maybe I should develop my own way of doing things. I just mostly meditate on my tarot cards, more often than not, The Shaman. It's my fave card. I'll post a pic sometime.

Here's the circle casting I usually use. Yes, It's by Silver Raven Wolf. D:
Triple Ring Casting:
1st Time Around Circle: In this place this circle round, I concecrate this sacred ground. With golden light this space surround, All power here contained and bound.
2nd Time Around Circle: From Earth the things that manifest, From Air the things of mind, From Fire the things that motivate, From Water the souls refined.
3rd Time Around Circle: And yet no place or time there be, Between the worlds, my word and me, Welcome ancient ones and see, This place is sealed, so mote it be.
