The usually silent canine that was known as Kainau raced throughout the expansive fields of lush green, releasing from the depths of his throat a howl of rapture. How he embraced so eagerly the call of nature! How he enjoyed sailing through the air with every bound of his powerfully-built hind legs, resisting the pull of gravity with each gliding leap he took! This was a rare event indeed for him to be in such a place unbound, for his Person was usually utterly dependent on him, using Kainau's eyesight as a replacement of whatever remained of his vision after the slow decay of old age that had so ravaged his shrunken and withered frame. His master's pup would be caring for him tonight, so Kainau would not have to worry about him, only that he was expected to return to the tee-pee before the next day's light.
The dog slowed his pace at the thought of his dearly beloved master so weak, a wrinkle of inevitable concern coming across his brow and his pierced ears sinking back within the thick hanks of his mane before he looked about the rolling fields that surrounded him now in mild curiousity, stopping to examine a herd of small rodents that had scurried from him in fear and instinct to avoid danger before his head righted itself into a erect position once more, scanning the green terrain that stretched before him.

Eva blinked her extremely light green eyes as she stepped out of the shade that a large tree was providing. It was a perfect temperature out side and the slight breeze that blew ruffled her fur. She grinned to her self, a doggy grin, and pranced over to the small stream she knew she had passed on her earlier adventures. Peering over the softly rippling water she did a slight inspection of her appearance. Her brows furrowed as she saw a leaf perched by her left ear. Well that just would not do. Bracing herself she shook out her coat sending any thing that may have been in it back to the earth.
Looking up Eva noticed a peculiar looking dog bounding and then suddenly slowing. She watched the other dog for a while with a tilt of her head. Who was this curious dog?

The slight breeze that had so recently caressed his fur and ruffled the ornamental feathers that so adorned his massive frame now brought a unfamiliar scent with it, filling his nostril passages with its odor and causing the natural curve of his spine to stiffen into a rigid line, his hackles raising. Who dared invaded his sanctuary? He turned his head in the direction where the scent was carried upon the moving wind, the numerous bracelets upon his paws clinking softly against the earth.
Primal instinct rose up unheeded from within the depths of his being, from the time where his ancestors paid for their land they so defended with their own blood, and their own lives, a ferocious snarl ripping out of his throat as he leapt into the air where the presumably ignorant--or so he thought--intruder was currently taking a draught from the river. The Husky's bloodcurling growl, however, died off suddenly in his throat when he fixed his stare upon the sight of a dog--another dog!--in the close vicinity, though he spoke with his teeth bared, the sharp, tapering canines flashing dangerously. "Who are you? Answer quickly! You are not a spy of the enemy tribe, are you? Because, if you are..."
