As many of you are aware, Japan has had a lot of trouble recently, they were hit with a Tsunami, and then received a powerful earthquake, on top of this, I heard the concrete or metal that is supposed to protect the inside of the core of the nuclear power plant is melting, and that it may melt down soon. However I haven't really checked the news within the last couple of days. On the other hand, despite the chaos, there are also several people who re trying to help Japan so that isn't bad. Discuss the topic of the disaster that occurred recently.

As much as the situation should be taken seriously, I must say, people just have to calm down. Yes, there are problems with the reactor. Yes, the nuclear components are exposed. Yes, there is a chance that those people may die at the plant. But that is a daily hazard, disaster or not. And it's started a craze for iodine pills, which we don't really need since, despite media maps, the radiation barely is reaching across Japan.
That mini-rant out of the way, we should focus any monetary help on Sendai and other affected regions. Also, as my Japanese teacher says, be wary of false organizations "collecting" for the tsunami and whatnot. Rutarete knows what I'm talking about.

The media does need to calm down indeed, also there are many spam emails about donating to false charities and stuff.
