Our Lady of Fatima is an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary validated by the Catholic Church. Our Lady came to three children in Fatima, Portugal-Lucia, Jacinta and Francesco- in 1917 with three messages. Pope John Paul II has allowed the third and final mystery to be given to the world. Please read and consider it. I do hope y'all with take it seriously, even if you do not believe in the Catholic Church or God right now. Copy of e-mail sent to me on my blog. I will be adding more messages of Our Lady from around the world as I find them. One interesting one in particular is Our Lady of Akita. Just thought I'd share because it scares the crap out of me. You links aren't working and the blog article doesn't have a link to the email.
I see the significance of the Lady of Fatima 3rd prophesy but I'd say it seems like a more expected sort of thing in regards to the Christian mythos. Those that seek and teach truth will face persecution. Those who maintain and keep the orderly illusion of belief will seek to destroy seekers and teachers of truth since truth is a threat to them. Even if the truth seekers and teachers are killed, their spirits and ideal will remain as an inspiration for other truth seekers.

This is the Third Fatima Secret I found:
The third part of the secret revealed at the Cova da Iria-Fátima, on 13 May 1917.
I write in obedience to you, my God, who command me to do so through his Excellency the Bishop of Leiria and through your Most Holy Mother and mine.
After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire; but they died out in contact with the splendour that Our Lady radiated towards him from her right hand: pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel cried out in a loud voice: 'Penance, Penance, Penance!'. And we saw in an immense light that is God: 'something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it' a Bishop dressed in White 'we had the impression that it was the Holy Father'. Other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God.

I'm not seeing how this is something to fear or how it could be seen as a "Convert Now" sort of message.

Okay I don't buy the Lady of Akita messages, I'll give my reasons later since I must leave for now.There are a number of descriptions that are "off" concerning these messages that doubt the validity of the messages, namely this one. "These three nails are poverty, chastity, and obedience. Of the three, obedience is the foundation. In total abandon, let yourself be led by your superior. He will know how to understand you and to direct you." This message seems inconsistent with the God of Christianity or at least what I've experienced of him. Obedience to Christ is foundational yes, but I don't get that is what is being described here in this message. "In order that the world might know His anger, the Heavenly Father is preparing to inflict a great chastisement on all mankind. With my Son I have intervened so many times to appease the wrath of the Father. I have prevented the coming of calamities by offering Him the sufferings of the Son on the Cross, His Precious Blood, and beloved souls who console Him forming a cohort of victim souls. Prayer, penance and courageous sacrifices can soften the Father's anger. " This is another "off" message here. Luke 9 51When the days were approaching for His ascension, He was determined to go to Jerusalem; 52and He sent messengers on ahead of Him, and they went and entered a village of the Samaritans to make arrangements for Him. 53But they did not receive Him, because He was traveling toward Jerusalem. 54When His disciples James and John saw this, they said, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?" 55But He turned and rebuked them, [and said, "You do not know what kind of spirit you are of; 56for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them."] And they went on to another village. Next how does one anger God? While I acknowledge the personhood of God I do have to ask how can one anger a being who is described as unable to be pleased? How does sacrifices soften His wrath? Finally this " Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful." This seems to contradict this passage Matthew 13 24 Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. 27 “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ 28 “‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ 29 “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”

Now there is signs that the Holy Spirit infiltrated the Lady of Akita's message but overall, there seems to be a bunch of stuff that is of a different spirit.

Looking through the message of OL Fatima, it does seem oddly specific about when. 'Before X year' or the like was never used before. I know there are all sorts of rumours about whether the whole message was revealed, but it does seem a bit strange there.
As for Akita, someone had mentioned that the 8.9 earthquake may be one that OL revealed there, but so far I have not actually read that one.
I just looked through it quickly and it seems that someone attributed the message in the e-mail to the apparition in Fatima instead of the one in Akita. The message is still not completely correct, but ...

I have not learned much about OL of Akita so am not sure I believe it...Even if the local bishop did validate, doesn't mean it has to be believed. Someone had mentioned that she may have mentioned the 8.9 earthquake, but so far I have yet to see anything about it besides what was posted on fb (which I never clicked on, so I don't know...)

Ah okay so it's something that is not approved by Rome but a local bishop approves of it.
I was doing some more digging and it seems to be a hot topic of debate among Catholics. There's rumors that the current pope finds OL of Akita to be worthy of belief but there's nothing official on the topic.
If I did take natural events to be signs of God, I would see that the OL of Akita being hit the hardest by the earthquake as a sign of OL of Akita should be considered a fabrication.

Akita was surprisingly much less damaged than the rest of Miyagi prefecture. I know at least one particular building was still standing unharmed or something. I think maybe where Our Lady appeared? It was all over my fb home page.

Christianity is a very small religion in Japan. If an entity was going to present some form of warning, would it not be better received if it came from a local kami? Or some sort of message from a Buddha?

Our Lady appeared in the dress of an Aztec princess to Juan Diego in Guadeloupe.
She appeared as an African in Kibeho, Rwanda.
She appeared in Lavang, Vietnam.
Lipa City, Philippines-She also appeared on rose petals.
Zeitun, Egypt. And you know Egypt is very much more Muslim.
Medjugorje, Yugoslavia.
There are a lot more Christians in Japan than you think. And if Our Lady has come to other places where there are about the same or even less Christians, and even as an Aztec princess! Why not Akita? Nagasaki used to be the most Catholic prefecture in Japan. Not sure if it still is after we bombed it. xp
