I just wanted to be me. A unique individual. As years pass, I am seeing that the world likes to brand people on sight. So, I have reading and learning to be able to describe myself in few words.
This is what I have so far, when it comes to me. I am a lesbian demisexual, exploring asexuality to learn how to be more respectful. My gosh. Here is another thing. I pray and believe in God although many say he dislikes homosexuals. Yet, I believe that other religions have good things to also incorporate into our lifestyles.
All in all, I take the good in life and mold myself from it. Meat is bad for health. I stay away from pork, yet, at times eat small amounts of other meats. Do not like to drink, smoke, not even take cold medicine. Something is wrong with me... eek

If something is wrong with you, then the same thing is wrong with me. And if there's more than one person like that, it makes us a minority and nothing's wrong, it's just different. xd
I love my made up on the spot logic.
Anyway, I say the same thing is wrong with me because, from your description, we have a lot in common.
As for labels... well, most everything is a form of a label. Even the word "human" is a label. They're pretty unavoidable. The only thing you can really do about them is keep an open mind and remember that different people define different labels differently. Oh, and try not to use the really offensive ones.

Then all I have to say is, "Good luck to me. I hope I can find someone who is as insane as I am." Like me for who I am and not for looks or, money. Until then, my short term dreams will be completed. Step one, run six miles each day. Next, ace every physical fitness test I get.
Join the funeral services. Then, learn as much as I can before five years. Which is supposedly the peak of my brains growth. I will not be able to contain as much information. Go Me, I know I can do this.
Just do not let my love get the best of me. For all it yearns for is to love and be loved in return. When my emotions gets me down, it is very difficult to pick myself back up. I do not like being sad.

Wait, what's wrong with you again?
The world labels things because it makes it easier to identify with them.
They see similarities between two things, and stick them in the same mental box/circle (I say circle 'cause it'd end up like a gigantic Venn diagram).
And then next time they think of that box, they can bring up examples, or when they think of one of those things, they can think of the box that's associated with it.
The brain can't work on infinite possibilities, it has to find finite links.
Most intelligent people are aware that not everyone in that label/category/box adheres to the same things/similarities/behaviours as everyone else.
Let them box you. They will regardless.
What's bothersome is when people think there are a finite number of boxes in a certain category. Say: sexuality (they think there are only two: gay, straight and the overlapping venn bit).
This is just lack of education. Educate them and they will add another box. Just for you, to begin with. Aren't you special?
