Thyvias is the capital city of Thyvia, the crown jewel of the nation. Everything can be found in it's markets, though not everything is guaranteed to be legal, nor as it seems. Weapons are allowed in the Market, though the guards request you keep them sheathed. Pickpockets are in the area, though not as common in other cities, as the Grand Magistrate has been cracking down on them. The city is dominated by parks, centers of learning, housing, and the Market, which encompasses half the city, as Thyvias is also the center of trade for the entire kingdom. The city is 650 square miles and surrounded by three massive stone walls, each one higher than the one in front of it, the inner, and highest, wall is called the Bastion, 20 feet thick, 75 feet high. Made of the purest granite, designed and built by engineers from the Southern Wastes, sentries vigilantly keep an eye on the surrounding lands, always on the watch for invaders, raiders, or a merchant caravan. Swift runners are located throughout the Bastion, to relay messages where they are needed. The Bastion is the only wall open to the public. Cutting the city almost perfectly in half is the river Vista Ridge. The city has four gates: The Processional, The Trade, the Protector's, and the Law, each named after the path they lead to. The path leading from the Processional Gate takes one through the housing and parks, the Trade Gate goes to the Market, the Protector's Gate goes to the Fountain palace, and the Law Gate goes to the House of Commons.
