Game Rules Welcome all to Gaia Assassins. If you've played this game before, you should know what it's all about. If not, even better.
In Assassin, each person is given a target and is sent out to kill the target unawares. It is very much similar to street wars. So while you have your target to get, there is someone else out after you. And of course, you don't know who it is. On Gaia, it's a tiny bit different, so this is how it's going to work:
1. Once you get your target, you receive their current target as your assignment, and so on and so forth. The game is over when there's either only one person left standing, someone gets their own name as their target, or the admin announces an end time.
2. You kill someone by being the post right under them and having &[+_+]& in your post in Chartreuse. This MAY NOT BE EDITED IN after you post, but may be edited out to protect your anonymity if you did not succeed in killing your target. In order for the kill to be successful, you must send a PM to GM Assassin with a screencap of the page and a link to the page within 30 minutes of your kill.
----& When you kill someone, please be courteous to the thread creator in which you make your kill and try to be mindful of discussion, roleplay, or whatever it is they have going on. If you are asked for an apology and fail to apologize, you will be kicked from the round.
3. You must kill someone within 2 days of your last kill. If you fail to do so, the Zombie Squad will be sent after you. Meaning, you will still be playing, but there will be five to ten more people coming after you. Once you kill someone, the Squad will be called off.
----& If your target has been killed by the Zombie Squad, you will be notified and will receive their target. However, the Squad will not be called off of you if you recieve a new target.
4. You cannot be killed in the Safe Zone of the guild. Within the guild, you are safe from killing if you insert a fish at the end of your post. This looks like: &[+_+]& It must be in Teal, exactly as it appears here. Please include this fish in your post when you sign up for the round.
5. Outside of the guild, you are almost NEVER safe. Watch your back.
6. After you have been killed, you are eligible to join the Zombie Squad. On the Zombie Squad, you will be given one target to prove your worth, then will sit by until a free for all has been announced. Only Zombies may kill during the Free for All.
7. If you have an issue with the rules, or any questions, please let the admin know through PMs.
8. You must post at least three times a day, anywhere outside of the Assassins guild. Any day you fail to do so, you will be considered inactive. After two consecutive days of inactivity, or four days total, you will be out of the game. You also must have your post count displayed in your profile.
9. The admin will try to keep you updated as to how many people are remaining each day or couple of days, and will disclose who has been killed; however, you will not know who killed them, or who their target was.
10. Your target's post must be within twenty four hours of your kill. You CANNOT go into an old, inactive thread that they posted in two weeks ago and kill them that way.
11. You MAY NOT join with more than one account. If I catch anyone joining with multiple accounts, all of their accounts will be kicked out of the current round and not allowed to join the next round. So don't do it.
12. If you are the last post on the page, you cannot be killed. Remember that the assassin's post has to be directly UNDERNEATH the victim's, not directly AFTER the victim's. There should be a screen with both posts!
Please note: You may see some staff members playing. They do NOT have any inside information. The only person that has the list of targets and such is the admin, and the admin makes all final decisions. They are only staff to help keep peace in the guild, not to run the game.
Another note: There is a 25 player minimum for each round. If the minimum is not met, sign ups will be extended for one week.

Um....questions:
1)Does this mean we should hide our "My posts" in our profiles?
2)Is it possible to get our own names as a target on the first round?
3)How do you [I can't believe I'm saying this] screen capture?

Hokays...
1. If you think it will help, you may. I for one know how to find your posts without using your profile, but your assassin may not ninja
2. No, it's not possible. I manually will select each person's target from a hat and will make sure that you will not get yourself as your target within your first five kills at the least.
3. I honestly don't know about macs, but on PCs you screen capture by...
i) pressing the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard, usually found near scroll lock in your top right corner
ii) opening any image program (microsoft paint is wonderful)
iii) going to "edit > paste" or pressing ctrl + V on your keyboard. Then, the screen that you pressed "print screen" on should appear in the image program.
iv) save the image in any format (I recommend JPG or PNG)
v) upload it on any free file server ^^
vi) send it to me along with a URL to the thread xP
I'm pretty sure it's the same on macs, but let me know if that's a problem ^^'
