The Sorcerer and The Six The Story “Please tell me the story, Mama!” The boy pleaded.
“Again? I told it to you yesterday, and the day before that,” his mother replied.
“But that’s because I love it!” he confessed with a smile on his face.
The woman chuckled, “Alright then, where do I begin...
“Not so long ago, there was a great war. All the six nations, Air, Water, Earth, Fire, Light, and, of course, Shadow, were slaughtering each other in epic battles. Almost everyone was fighting except for The Six.
“The Six are powerful beings that share an everlasting bond. One person from each nation is in The Six, never two. That person has an ability over their nation’s element that surpasses anyone else’s.
“The Six are chosen and taken from their homes at birth by The Spirits, who bring them to The Spirit World. The Spirit World is the only place The Spirits can exist for a long time, and is where all The Six’s training takes place.
“One of the spirits is assigned to one member of The Six, and is their mentor until all of The Six turn 18, when they will be taken back to their birth World and fulfill their duties of keeping peace, and balance.
“The Six are also connected in a different way, their destinies are romantically entwined-”
“-Eww!” The boy interrupted.
“Are you sure you can handle this story again?” the woman said thoughtfully, “I’m not convinced...”
“Yes, yes! I’m sorry, please continue with the story!”
The woman cleared her throat, “The destinies went as this, Water and Fire, Air and Earth, then finally Light and Shadow. These couples are almost as strong together as when all The Six are together, which is saying a lot.
“When all The Six are together, they are unstoppable.
“You must be thinking ‘Why aren’t they fighting in the war? They could help!’, but The Six seeked a way to end the fighting, not continue it.
“The War had originally begun because of a prophecy. The prophecy had been that one of the nations would rule over all the others. The Six, being in touch with The Spirits, knew that wasn’t true, and did all they could to stop the war.
“After many years of hardships, bargains, betrayals, and fighting, The Six ended the War, and brought peace to The Nations, or so it seemed. Right beneath their noses, an enemy arose, an evil sorcerer, who threatened to kill all the nations or put them at war.
“She murdered The Six in their beds, and used fear to put herself in power over all. The Supreme Ruler, she called herself.
“Now, we are still under her rule, desperately awaiting the arrival of the next generation of The Six, the only ones able to restore peace.” a small tear dripped down the Woman’s cheek.

My life began in the capital of the Earth Nation, of course I can't really remember that. I only know what The Spirit Mont has told me of my nation because ever since birth, I've been training my Earth skills in The Spirit World with Mont. Now I'm 18 and ready to meet the rest of The Six and fulfill my destiny.
Something special about me is I have a pet hawk, his name is Bly (Buh-lie)

Well, I can't really remember much about home, if you asked about my own parents, I really couldn't tell you much. I guess living in this Spirit World might have sheltered me from first hand battles and hardship but just hearing the tales about the The Nations fighting has made me hate violence of any type. Making me sort of a pushover with others to keep them happy. I've trained really hard over the years and I'm ready to return home.

It wasn't until I was 16 when I was told that my parents had been murdered by the sorcerer when she tried to kill me. They died to protect me. I might knot remember them, but I will avenge them.
Something special about me is I have a sword that can turn to flame when I tell it to.

My life's been pretty cool. So here's my story.
I never had parents. I don't remember much about my life before I began my training in the realm of spirits, but I know that I never had a home and I recall begging for food. I'm not sure how I survived as a baby, but I managed to make it until the spirits called me away.
Something special about me is that I strongly dislike direct combat. Misdirection, manipulation, and illusion can often get the same or better results with no blood spilled and everyone feeling as if they have won.

My life's been pretty cool. So here's my story.
I was born in a modest town. I wasn't poor, but I wasn't hungry either. Until one day, some sort of spirit came along. Told me I was destined for greatness. I believed it, and I asked how I was to achieve this. It told me it could help me, for a price. Naturally, I asked what price. The spirit told me, my mouth. I was young and foolish, so I complied. But what I received in return was much better than any mouth could give me. Only much later in my life did I realize I had made a deal with the devil.
Something special about me is: In return for my mouth, I was given the ability to control minds and mimic other shapes.

It allows me to change my form to something...more presentable. Like a human, for instance. I find I prefer using my voice, given my...method of creation. Mont, my Spirit Guide, and I are sitting under the Earth Tree, where we only go when he has something special to announce. I'm hoping, for almost the billionth time, that I'm going to meet The Six.
"It is time." Mont says curtly.
"Time for...?" I ask enthusiastically.
"Time to meet the rest of The Six. You are all to meet on the Great Tree, here, in the Spirit World." he answers.
I almost jump in joy, but instead choose to do a fist pump, which gets a chuckle from Mont, my Spirit Guide.
"Let's roll then!" I quickly say, standing up. "Bly!" I call out, almost immediately my hawk swoops down and perches on my left shoulder. "Good girl," I quietly say to her.
"Let us begin our journey to the Great Tree, as it will take us about an hour to get there by Earth," Mont murmurs.
I nod in reply and bring a small piece of Earth out of the ground just begin enough to step on, my Spirit Guide does the same. We both hop on the our rectangles and, with a small movement of our fingers, move our Earth in the direction of the Great Tree.
We arrive at the Great Tree about an hour later and take our place on the Earth Branch. All the other branches, Air, Fire, Water, Light, and Shadow, are empty so Mont and I are the first to arrive.
"Can't wait for everyone else to arrive,"I say to Bly a few moments after I sit on my Branch.

"I've told you countless times," she says, "that you can't just constantly push yourself around on the wind." I just grin at her. We've had this argument so many times that it's not worth answering. Still, she continues. "There is no reason to avoid the earth, Air. You have legs. You can walk."
I roll my eyes. "Why are we meeting here? Not for this, I'm sure." I say. She can be such a drag.
Skye narrows her eyes at me. "I don't feel like I should still be repeating things like this. Especially not when my time with you is done. It's like you haven't learned--"
I cut her off. "So today's the day?! I'm meeting the others?"I want to do backflips, I'm so excited! My entire life has built up to this moment, to meeting The Six. I've dreamed of it for as long as I can remember. Now finally, finally, we're ready.
We approach on foot. I am not happy about this. However, soon Skye won't be able to nag at me about the floating thing. Waiting at the Great Tree is the Earth representative and her Spirit Guide. I wasn't expecting someone to look like her. She's beautiful.
I stumble because I was staring, and I try not to blush. I only hope she didn't notice. I'm not going to keep making a fool of myself. I summon the air up around me and push myself the remainder of the way, hovering just above the ground, and float down slowly onto my Branch. I grin at the Earth girl and I wave. "He--"
Skye has caught up with me and she slaps me on the back of my head.

I pet Bly a couple of times and continue to wait for the others to arrive. Soon though, a handsome boy arrives with his Spirit Guide.
I notice him just after he comes to the Great Tree and blush when I see him looking at me. He stumbles though, which makes me chuckle. I realize he's the Air Representative when he floats onto his Branch.
"His name is Aaron Hendry, and he's the Air Representative," Mont announces with enthusiasm.
"Cool, he's handsome," I mumble in reply though my attention is on Aaron. Although I can't help but notice Mont smile at my comment.
I blush when he grins and waves at me though I hope he doesn't see me blush, blushing makes me look stupid. I wave back, trying not to look dumb in front of him.
Though when his Spirit Guide slaps him on the back of his head I feel bad because his Spirit Guide looks pretty harsh.
"Are Spirit Guides allowed to do that?" I ask Mont.
"Yes, they are. But I prefer a less... physical method of discipline." he answers.
I nod then turn back to Aaron, I can't help but look at him.

Reilis Coradan ~ Shadow
Vesper nods to me and starts to move away, so I follow. Clearly, there is something important for me in that direction. Rather than expend the energy to shift into the shadows, I simply follow silently on foot.
Neither of us talks unless we have to, but we understand each other well enough.
In due time, we reach the Great Spirit Tree where two others rest. Seeing how high my branch is, I decide after a few seconds of consideration that the use of some power is warranted and make a mystical jaunt from the shadow of the tree on the ground where I am standing to the shadow cast on my branch.
After my body manifests on the branch, I nod to the others and remove my hat. It is hotter here than I anticipated.
The others begin talking, and I wonder if I am expected to join in. I have never been one for conversation, likely because Vesper speaks so rarely.
I decide to wait and speak if one of them addresses me.

It didn't actually hurt that much, but I'm still mad at her for doing it. Doesn't she realize how stupid that makes me look? In front of another one of The Six, no less. It's not like I meet people every day. Skye is the one who's always telling me to make a good impression when I meet others...
While I was looking at Skye, I felt something move. I look at the base of the tree, and then up. On another Branch is a guy, the Shadow representative. He seems to be watching us. I realize I should be more excited to meet another member of The Six, but I just wish I would have had more time to talk to the girl. Glancing between them, I say, "Hey! So..." I freeze. I have no idea what to say. "Uh. You two must be--"
"This is the Earth representative Iris Almond, and Shadow representative Reilis Coradon." Skye cut me off again. I watch her nod to the other Spirit Guides. "Hello Mont, Vesper."
I shoot her another glare, then turn back to Iris. "Hey, Iris. Hey, uh," I look up. "Reilis."
