I've decided to start these threads before the epsiode starts, that way if you want you can have a little "pre-game" chat about the upcoming episode.

Here's a little preview of tonight's episode, like always in this sub-forum there are spoilers.

Who Are You? A former Destiny resident believed to be dead returns in tonight’s new episode of Stargate Universe, thanks to a freak quirk of the long-range communication stones. Don’t miss “Hope” tonight at 10/9c on Syfy!

"Another consciousness finds it’s way into Chloe’s body through the stones while Volker succumbs to an illness Tamara may not be able to treat."

"Ginn resurfaces in Chloe via the communication stones, creating a dilemma for Eli and Rush to solve; Greer becomes a kidney donor after Tamara diagnoses Volker with end-stage renal disease."

OMG!!!!! That episode was amazing. I had a feeling it was the situation of being consciousness in the wind in a sense. And to top it all off, Dr. Amanda Parry joined the party as well. But it was a good thing they were able to download the two into the ship. Though I wonder what this means for the two and the destiny's crew.

This post is going to be all over the place so bare with me as this episode had me all excited. I think the first thing I'm going to say is...we know have a answer more complete picture as to where Franklin went after he sat in the chair. I'm still not going to be 100% done with that until we learn what happened to his body, but at least we know his mind is now in Destiny's computers. That would also mean that Gloria was more likely Destiny using memories taken from Rush when he used the chair and not Gloria herself to help him in the bridge. While I'm on the subject of Franklin I really like how Eli was all like "Do you see him now?" that made me giggle.

I was a little unsure how I feel about, since Rush unlocked the master code, that we know have access to all these new goodies. I think that if the show had more time that part would not have happened so quickly so I can let that slide.

The Brody/Volker banter is golden those two crack me up so much when ever they are on the screen. The side effect's from the post-op...that scene made me laugh. I loved that whole pre-op stuff with Brody trying to help Volker relax with the intro to 2001 A Space Odyssey and then Numa Numa. I laughed my a** off.

Greer is now my favorite character hands down. Eli has always been it b/c he was the easiest one to relate to but Greer man that dude is great. "I'm a Marine. We are always first." How he didn't give a single thought about giving up one of his kidney's to Volker. I think he knew that Volker was important and that in the end Volker would be of more use to the crew then himself. And when he took Volker to the "garden" man that's just the nicest thing ever. Greer cares, at least that's what I get, about the crew. Well maybe not sure much Rush and the remaining LA members.

Now onto Ginn and something that was a very nice surprise Dr. Perry. At the start of the epsiode I didn't think that Dr. P would be making an appearance, but when they started talking about how Ginn's "signal" was just floating out there, I started to think what about Dr. P. And then BOOM there she was.

The bits with Eli and Ginn were very nice especially when Eli made his little speech about being enough, and then again at the end when Ginn agreed. I almost wanted to shed a tear when she reached up and "touched" his face.

Dr. P came from out of nowhere for me...I had no idea. I didn't put her into the picture, but what I found interesting was that she was reliving her death every so often...Then it all of a sudden stopped. I wonder what that was about. To now know that there things about destiny they are getting to know about, and it is just going to end....I am going to cry.

Man I know, the second season for me is by far much better than what season one was. I can't really fault season one all that much because it had the unfortunate job of trying to introduce all these new characters to use and suffered from "slow" episodes because of that. Episodes such as Time, Divided, Human, Incursion P1&P2 among others where great. I'm really sad to see SGU and I bet it would have just gotten better with another season.

I'm so looking forward to next Monday's epsiode Seizure, I need some more McKay in my diet.

Oh indeed. Can never get enough McKay. lol. SGU came at a bad time however, and I think they are doing good now and should continue, but you know what, I think it is just a stingy excuse that the higher ups are ending SGU. It took a while to get character development started and going, but now that there it is and the bonds are formed and changing, it should continue. We should rally for a comeback...if we cant stop the ending for now, we can rally for a comeback...*grabs picket sign from underneath bed*

IMO the blame lies firmly on the shoulders of Sy-fy and there just random idea to stick SGU on Tuesday nights. They had to know the show would get steamed rolled by the mindless TV programs that air on Monday nights. True there are a few shows that competed against SGU that weren't mindless (by mindless I'm talking about the reality shows garbage that packs the airwaves now a days.) Seriously they should have put the show on a night where they wouldn't have to worry losing the "sheep" to the RS's. IMO Sy-fy ever since they changed their name, that is where the network really started to lose its "roots." Now that MGM is back on its feet, I'm reasonably sure that Stargate will continue on in some form. MGM after all made sure that they didn't lose the rights to Stargate when they went though their bankrupt settlement.

Much like the name of this episode, hope, we just got to hope for a comeback one day.
