I'll usually wait to buy games until they drop in price and become used, same as most cds (with the exceptions of my fav bands like Korn, F11, and Luca Turilli)

I guess I can also say I won't by a new car in its new first couple years. (actually I've only bought used and only once from a dealer)

The trick is occupy yourself with other stuff until it drops in price.
